The Thread That Always Comes Back Around: Jai Courtney IS Captain Boomerang

Any guesses on how long he's been Captain Boomerang? Because it doesn't seem like Flash has been Flash that long so wondering if they are really enemies yet.

One of the rumors is that Flash has a cameo in the movie in a quick flashback of Boomerang being captured and there was this really quick moment of Boomerang falling backwards with lightning in the new soundtrack trailer. Here is a slowed down gif of it.

Looks like he might be in a bank vault with an opened door on the left and a loot bag in his right hand?

He's gunning for katana...

Damn, dude is jacked. I mean, he always was, but it looks like he took it to another level for this.

Whoah. He beats the chit out of Immortan Skinnyfat.

Just saw the movie a second time and Captain Boomerang cracks me up.

Boomerang was funny in every scene he was in. I liked him and I haven't really enjoyed Jai Courtney in anything else. I hope he's present in The Flash. I think the banter between him and Ezra could be pretty fun.

I think Jai as Boomerang was pretty funny at times and really want to see him in the Flash movies, but he was one of the lesser fleshed out characters. It does feel like how they portrayed him in the latter half doesn't quite fit with how his character was set up in the beginning. Contrast that with Diablo who had a more consistent arc just makes me feel they could have written some characters that little bit better.

After Flag told them that they could leave if they wanted he was the first to get up and later when walking towards the train station he joins them again. One of the cut scenes showed why he decided to go back. I really hope WB releases a Director's cut for the movie.

Yeah. After hearing about the various cuts and the lack of Joker I would be interested to see what was left out.

It's a shame they cut out his racism and sexism. That would've provided good development for him and Katana, because she was probably the target of his comments. The toning down of his character and therefore the cutting down of Katana's role is just criminal.

I loved the scene when Flag destroys the head-bomb transmitter, and he doesn't even get to finish his "if you want to leave you can leave" line before Boomerang has downed the rest of his pint and is off out the door. I wish that had just been the last time we see him in the movie, that seems to fit his character more.

Also, Slipknot being a rapist actually lends a bit more credence to why Boomer chose him as his test subject.

They really should have given him a scene to show why he was recruited. I was hoping we'd get something like Deadshot's moment hitting every target, except maybe him throwing three or four boomerangs at one time and being a bad-ass.

Really enjoyed his role in the movie. I was hoping the Pink Unicorn would fall out mid battle and get destroyed, maybe cause him to rage and have an "epic" sort of moment... but ah well. :D

His unicorn stufftoy was cute.

Not sure, if he was needed to be in the movie.

Yeah I agree that they should have kept his racism/sexism. It'd have at least given him and Katana an interesting dynamic (they have little to do in the film otherwise, especially her). You have a movie with the premise of "the worst of the worst get recruited to go on a mission for the government," and yet they continuously "tamed" everything up, disappointing.

The film, in it's current form, is already taking heat for perceived sexism and racism.

If they'd kept that dynamic between Boomerang and Katana in the picture, unfair or not, it would've been used as another stick for critics to beat it with.
