The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien

I don't care about the war with the mayor. It was funny a couple of times, but it has gotten old now. I am tired of hearing the story repeated every show. Do away with this please Conan. Do not mention this again.

This was the best interview I've seen in a while. I was LOL:awesome: during it. It was all kinds of awesome. Of course, I hardly watch Conan interviews, mostly the monologue and skits.

And whoever said the curfew...I guess Newark use to have one hell of a crime rate.

well isnt the whole Letterman "scandal" blowing over?

Why the hell did I quote this? Meant to quote the money he donated. That was awesome for Newark Now.

Just caught up with last nights show. Had its moments. It seems like they're running out of things for Triumph to do.

Mo 10/26: Capt. Chesley Sullenberger, Wolfmother
Tu 10/27: Garry Shandling, Paula Deen, Julian Casablancas
We 10/28: Lindsey Vonn, Uncle Kracker
Th 10/29: Denis Leary, bat expert Rob Mies, the Swell Season
Fr 10/30: Susie Essman, Alice in Chains

John C. Reily was hilarious last night. Taking your 12 and 9 year old to see Halloween would probably scar the kids. lol Dr. Sanjay Gupta was cool too. That suspended animation thing sounds really sci-fi.

Reily seems like such as an everyday guy. Hard to believe he is a millionaire actor  Good for him though

Molly Sims interview 2001

i wish he brought this conan back

Wait, so he's on re-runs next week? Isn't that the same trimframe as Letterman's "vacation"?

He still has the same style, but also keep in mind he got married in 2002, so he doesn't like pushing the humor with hot women as much. Not that Molly Sims is that hot anyways :o

Not counting Jon Stewart and Colbert (since they're more news parody), Conan is literally the only funny late night talk-show host. Dave has fallen off and Leno has always been terrible. The other Johnny-come-latelys like Ferguson, Fallon (possibly the worst) and all the rest are not even worth mentioning.

EDIT: I forgot Carson Daly. He may be worse than Fallon. That's a tough call.

I don't watch Letterman so I have no idea. I watch Conan and I am tired of this Newark crap...

I cannot believe the mayor was his first guest...lame.

Are you from Newark or something? The war with the Mayor is pure win. Even the interview was great with the giant Newark joke jar.

I forgot Carson Daly. He may be worse than Fallon. That's a tough call.

Carson is worse to watch, obviously a different type of show. Fallon looks like he has itching powder the entire time he is doing the show.

If I were NBC I would have looked at 2 guys as Conan's replacement.

1. Jon Stewart, give him another late night chance. I thought his first attempt was underrated :o
2. Joel McHale from E's The Soup. Granted this would be a 50/50 gamble cause I dunno how well he would interview, but it couldn't be worse than Fallon.

I like how they talk about how busy Dean Cain was at the time. Where are you now, Superman?!

Carson Daily is a 30 min show and he no longer does anything other than interviews...he doesn't really count.

Also Fallon seems more over the top than Conan now, but I can't say for sure cause I hardly watch Fallon. Although his set is pure win over Conan's.

I do enjoy Fallon's Real Housewives of Late Night sketch. Also, that Hills-like sketch 7th Floor West.

Interesting article today on how the Leno show is killing the bread-and-butter 11 pm news broadcasts of NBC affiliates.

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-ct-nbc-affils19-2009oct19,0,1421138.story

I knew they'd take a hit, but not by that much. But it makes sense; the format of a talk show practically encourages people to start tuning out as the show goes on, unlike an hour-long drama. Especially with the musical guests, who tend to skew younger than the typical 11 pm news audience.

That means less and less people are around to watch the revenue-generating local newscast of your local station. Tough times.

I remember when he had a Brazilian model on the late night show. She asked him aren't you married and he said

"hahaha what ring?!"

and laughed to the camera

or when he tries to take off his ring

"Argh! it burns!

God, I miss this.

absolutely do not agree with this.

but i agree with everything else. he is exactly the same to me. in fact, i don't think that was that great of an interview.

not sure what with all the hate with fallon. he's actually really funny. it takes time to get used to it and get in the groove, and people wrote him off too soon.

i like joel mchale. that would have been awesome. i would think that would be a demotion for jon stewart to take over the late night show.
