the top ten worst kind of fan boys

I hate people who think cause they Wilkipedia'ed it then it is true then they try to think they know it all but all they know is what they read..

And I can't stand the people who think that, "You can't trust Wikipedia AT ALL" (not targeting you, Bnightwing).

Seriously, false information can be flagged. That's not to say there's not false information sitting on the site, but I'd bet the "True-to-False" ratio weighs pretty decently on the "True" side.

hahah Bat fanboys getting lotsa love here :funny:

That's nothing...When I was leaving the "TDK" midnight opening and hanging out with my friends in front of the theatre, I overheard this group of 16 year olds talking about how Batman was created in the 1960s...

:facepalm

The bat boards have always been the stain on this place. Truly crazy people post there constantly.

I mean someone told me about batman but when I asked what there favorite artist was they went blank I mean what the crap!

Ah come on you guys - this "I am a better and more expert fanboy than you are" schitick starting to get old :funny:

I think the second category of fanboys are...

*cough*

Wellingites :o

... I am utterly shocked, and ashamed to say I post on those forums.

"TDK" has pretty much changed the entire idea of being a Batman fan now. Because of the film, EVERYONE now claims to be a fan of the character.

If you're not perpetually bowed down in worship of Nolan, it's fairly difficult to have any other sort of Bat-related conversation.

It's a shame really...

Yea but that type of thinking is what keeps getting Cassie Cain in trouble, all the silver age fanboy writers keeps launching crap at her or ignore her in favor of babs :funny:

I used to believe myself to be a fanboy until I came to SHH and saw how aggravating it truly is to deal with the obsession. Seriously, I try to make something of myself with my life by acting, practicing martial arts, etc.... So I've learned quite a bit about a lot of the subjects (acting, fighting) that come up in those forums. For some reason, The Dark Knight has made it a norm to be a Batman 'expert'... Meaning, all the user does in his or her spare time is read Batman, and assume he or she knows everything about the character. I refuse to believe I've ever been that bad.

Seriously, all of my friends who are at least SEMI-interested in comics that have become "die-hard Joker fans" now. I admit, I liked The Joker, but didn't care for him as much as many others may have (my personal favorite villain growing up was Two-Face). I LOVE Heath's Joker, but not because he's The Joker... Because he's a sick, sadistic, criminal genius and is a great part of what made The Dark Knight so much fun to watch.

But "it can never be topped" because the Batman Fandom has said so. :(

Yeah...it's just stupid.

It reminds me of a Dogma quote that I'll paraphrase:

"Tell someone you're a fan of Norm Breyfogle's artwork in "The Last Arkham" and they'll stare at you blankly...mention the 'Pencil Trick' and suddenly everyone's a Batman expert..."

hmmm...:whatever:

Lmao! If the quote it my sig wasn't so funny, I think I'd put that quote in.

Not everyone there is a dumbass, Just most.
It's a disease, their idiocy will infect everyone there if you stay long enough. I went in right before TDK and right after and dear jebsus I had to get out. Coming in close second are the artards of the Spider-Man forums that drove me away and in humble third is the X3 forum. Those 3 places are where the nublets hang out and discuss extremely stupid things:D

Yeah, I honestly hate saying I post there, but there are a few pretty intelligent users over there who I enjoy discussing Batman with (Crook, RachelDawes, FlickChick- ironically, the girls are the few bearable and less aggressive fans) who seem to know what they're talking about... And don't pick your post apart word-by-word-by-itty-bitty-freakin'-word in quotes, and tell you about 15 reasons as to why you're wrong.

Plus, some of the FanArt and Manips are just amazing (jmc is my personal favorite).

I'm glad to see some TDK fanboy haters. I post on that forum occasionally but I hate almost half of the people on there.

the ultimate evil, you just about nailed the X-Box, Nintendo and Playstation fanboys down. Bravo to you sir. *tips hat*

I am #6 and #9. I'm suprised the Dark Knight fanboys didn't get a mention. The ones who post on every movie forum that the Dark Knight kicks its hiney.

and their battle cry is: "This movie was good but would have been better if Chris Nolan directed it like with the Dark Knight"
EDIT: Oh, I see someone already brought it up

I've actually heard of all of these, luckily I'm not anytime of.......well maybe I'm a mac fanboy hater.

God I hate macs.

See it's a bitter sweet thing...because don't get me wrong I LOVED "The Dark Knight."

Saw it at midnight, saw it multiple times in theatres, stood out at midnight for the DVD and saw the IMAX re-release...

But I don't go on and on...and on...and ON about it. And frankly I barely tolerate the people that do go on about it.

Although I can't say I've met a Nintendo Fanboy, I own an XBox 360... I bought it after doing quite a bit of research, debate, reading, blah blah, predominantly because my family has always bought Sony. I was die-hard for the PS2 and didn't like the XBox much, but when the current generation came around, I had to read up a bit.

Well, I don't claim to know everything about XBox (especially system specs), but I can say I've met some PS3 lovers who have tried convincing me for a very long time now that I need to return my XBox and get a PS3... They'll give me every reason down to every little specification as to why the PS3 is better, but they'll leave out each of the XBox's best qualities in favor of boosting the PS3's rep.

So, I did a little more research, and I found two particular articles by a certain game developer (he develops for both systems, apparently, so he wouldn't give his name) who discounted each.and.every. point I've heard so far. The only advantages of the PS3? It's longevity, and the fact that it's more powerful system will eliminate the need for a new system in the next couple of years. So I brought the articles up to the guy, and he was speechless.

It is a bittersweet thing as I saw the movie two times and loved it.

I'm going to stick to my guns by saying that they are the worst and this is coming from a former Spider-Man nut. I still love the first two flicks but I went about it wrong occasionally in my early days here. Thats why I can reconize the crazies so well.

Interesting article.

Well I use to be a Nintendo fangirl and sorta still am. I still like them but I don't deny their flaws at all.

This is comedic, it's like the fanboy cycle. Just like the economic cycle.

1. You begin with a small niche following over a property

2. The property grow, you get proud and talk about it all the time. Get together with like minded fans.

3. Some more things come out and it becomes very mainstream and popular

4. You start hating on it cause it is mainstream and popular and not the small cultish property it was. New mainstream fans not 1337 enough

5. Release something bad, than it gets trashed and you become teH Anti-Fanboy :cmad:

6. Reboots/restarts, go back to step 1.
