a top ten list from the sci fi uk magazine sfx, at least they chose particular parts rather than just listing the films

1 A sound of thunder 2005: entire film
2 King Kong 2005: bronto stampede & pole-vaulting
3 die another day 2002: surf scene
4 spider-man 2002: spidey swinging
5 harry potter and the philosopher's stone 2001: quidditch players/ troll attack
6 return of the king 2003: legolas and the mumak
7 Indiana jone and the KOTCS 2008: gasping gophers & jungle monkeys
8 I am legend 2007: headbutting zombies
9 star wars a new hope 1997: young jabba
10 Blade 2 2002: various fights

some i'm not sure about, other i'm not surprised are on the list even del toro hates the cgi in blade 2, and legend was panned from the get go

Matrix reloaded. You can SO tell that 2/3 of the fight scene with Smith VS Neo is CG, the point of CG is to do things not possible in reality yet make the viewer buy it is real or look as real as possible. But the movie is phenominal but no where near magical as the first one. ;)

what the hell??.... I guess this is Worst CGI with "Giant budgets" because clearly they haven't seen, Scooby doo, Spy kids films, Son of the mask, and hundreds of other theatrically released films with the CGI production budget of 5 pounds.

When was that? 2004?... 'Indiana Jones' monkeys... 2008... I don't know about you, but I can see why it's not on the list.

yea but I just recently watched that movie so that was why I brought it up. :) Yea Indy had it's moments too.

Spider-Man, Return of the King and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull...are you kidding me?

Spider-Man 3.

Say what you will about the movie, but can you honestly say this looks bad?

I have to disagree.

There was this CG-shot in Spider-Man 3 that literally had me gasping for breath and shouting ''are you ****ing kidding me?''. It's when the out-of-control crane hits the building where that chick is doing a photoshoot. It looked like something from a cartoon. An absolute embarrassment.

One part that really took out of a movie was Spiderman in the wrestling suit when he's crawling up

I have to ride with you on that one, it looked pretty cheaply done, but the rest of the regular Spidey-suit shots looked pretty good, IMO.

Wors- *takes drink of water*.. Wor- dammit, Worst- Wor- Wors.. *clears throat*.. Worst. List. Ever.

There we go.

I see, well it's your opinion anyhow.

'Jaws: The Revenge'
'Superman Returns'
'The Polar Express'

These made top 10 while other CGI crapfests go unnoticed:huh:

I think that early movies with CG should get a bit of a pass. The tech was still very new in the early 90's.

So as bad as the CG was in Spawn, I have to give them credit for trying.
as for contemporary movies with suck CG
I am Legend
Spider-man 1,2,3
Cloverfield
Fantastic Four
Star Wars episode 1 and 2
matrix 2 and 3
and more as I think of them

WHAT?!?!... Did someone turn you out of your cage, or what?
:oldrazz:

Yeah, Cloverfield was great CG-wise.
