The Trump Thread!!!

Make America Great Again. Get used to it. The far left who once joked that Trump was a Dem might have another Ronald Reagan like president.

BOOM.

NEVER. STOP. POSTING.

For the love of God, please, keep this delusional love affair you have with Trump going! I mean it Taarna, you brighten up my day when I see a new post by you. I want to crawl inside your head and see the world as you do. It must be a fascinating and scary place.

Do you mind if I ask how old you are and which state you reside in? I think that will answer many questions we all have

I'd like an answer to this too. S/he has put some rather reductive posts in the 'people of colour' thread that I'm sure could be explained by age as well.

I'm almost positive Taarna is not old enough to vote. There is a level of naivety and cluelessness in his or her posts that makes me think Taarna is a kid who may be parroting the ideas and words of his or her parents or some other parental figure in his or her life.

Or Taarna is just a troll acting like a member of some Trump cult.

Either way the level of delusional devotion he exhibits in his or her posts is suspicious.

He's like a less religious Sentinel Mind. Or those other dudes who got banned.

Did Human Torch get banned?

Oh right. I remember now. I was upset because I missed that.

Bill Cosby, right?

Bill Cosby, right?

Josh Duggar. Something about how "it's only natural to be curious about girls at that age" and how we were only upset about it because he's a Christian.

How far back did you have to go? Use the latest poll. Or next weeks if you dare.

Trump has not spent 1 cent on advertising either. Just wait until he does! Its very easy to see how this is trending....you are watching with eyes wide shut.

Clinton is sinking. Trump is surging.

1 poll that is an outlier of all the previous polls is not something to take as 100% gospel. Beyond best not to put much stock into polls a year and 2 months before an election, just ask Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry

We've been trying to get this through to Taarna for a while now. He or she just keeps ignoring this fact. As far as Taarna is concerned Trump is already the GOP candidate and all that's left to do is wait for November so he can accept Clinton's surrender.

It's almost comical watching people trying to use singular polls now to try push there agenda. The same people pushing that Clinton is polling terrible in the do you trust Clinton question ignore those same polls that say she is beating most Republican candidates. Much like the polls from 6 months ago where Clinton was trouncing all Republican candidates by 10%+, 101 things are going to change who will do better between now and a year and 2 months from now that will make polling numbers go up and down.

Only thing I would bet on at this point is both Clinton and whoever the Republicans candidate are will start off at roughly 47% and will fight over that remaining 6%(well more like 4% when you consider people who vote 3rd party) so any poll that doesn't show both candidates with at least 47% might as well take with a grain of salt

I know even in 2012 they used landlines. Even my grandma doesn't use a landline anymore. And she lives in rural Europe. So... Yeah.

How ****ing reliable are these polls?

In terms of what will happen in Nov 2016, very little since we haven't even gotten to the hardcore campaign season.

In terms of if we decided tomorrow to have the election without campaigning, you looking at a 3-5% margin of error

I call about political surveys sometimes and it's literally just whoever we can get. We have quotas to get and we always fill up the 45-65+ ranges real quick since no one from 18-35 want to take the time to do them.

For an area we could literally have most of our quota being answered by people who have been voting for one party for forty years and never speak to most of the other people in the area who say otherwise.

Just to get a general idea of how people think on a certain thing, like certain projects or the popularity of someone in office, I think it does okay but for something that's supposed to be conducted nation wide concerning people who have a huge range of opinions on a large variety of topics it's pretty much ****.

I'm pretty sure at this point that Taarna is just trolling for the lolz. I just can't comprehend somebody being that into Trump. Does not compute.

You sir are some kid who has had issues. I am a 40 year old adult with a 4 year college degree employed by a with a fortune 1,0000 company making over six figures a year.

I'm not here to brag, rather I'm posting this to draw a quick contrasts between you and I.

By the way Trump now has 25% of the Black vote. Way up from the last election.

You are comparing a semi crazy woman and a brain dead politician to Trump.

Bachmann and Perry quickly flamed out, and never lead all comers in a national election poll.

I use real clear politics. Check it out

Trump is ahead...of everyone including Clinton and Biden! Carson will quickly fade/

Florida Republican Presidential Primary Florida Times-Union Trump 29, Carson 25, Bush 19, Rubio 6, Fiorina 5, Cruz 3, Kasich 3, Huckabee 2, Walker 1, Paul 0, Christie 2, Jindal 1, Perry 0, Graham 0 Trump +4

General Election: Trump vs. Biden SurveyUSA Biden 42, Trump 44 Trump +2

General Election: Trump vs. Sanders SurveyUSA Sanders 40, Trump 44 Trump +4

GO DONALD GO!
You put so much stock in the polls, yet you insist that Carson will "quickly fade" despite him being the only canidate to beat Trump in a head on head matchup...

Taarna, when in your mind did America stop being great?

Things started to slide on George Bush's final two years as president. 2007-2008.

Obama has been a failure on many levels. The USA is close to a tipping point.

Our debt is enormous. Our credit has been downgraded. Our Geo-political antagonists laugh at us, and our allies can no longer count on us. Millions lost their jobs. The labor rate is very low. Lowest in decades I think. Illegal immigration is a problem. Race relations thanks to Obama quickly taking sides are worse. And the Iran deal was so bad you have to question why Obama was for it.

Taxes are also too high for the middle class.

Politics " deals by lobbyists " cooperations who buy politic and and foreign interests eat away at the USA.

Trump won't be like this. He'll broom much of the problems with politics that plagues both sides of the isle. I think he has a chance to make America great and will try.

That is why I am very for him.

I think Carson is a smart guy, but he's not going to win anything.

Today it’s:

* Trump 45%, Clinton 40%. (There is a 20-point Gender Gap; Trump leads by 18 points among seniors.)

* Trump 44%, Sanders 40%. (Trump leads by 10 among independents and by 6 among moderates.)

* Trump 44%, Biden 42%. (Trump leads by 10 among the best educated; Biden leads by 17 among the least educated.)

* Trump 44%, Gore 41%. (Trump leads by 12 among men and by 18 among voters age 50+.)

Among a subset of registered voters who tell SurveyUSA that they pay “a lot” of attention to politics, the scale tilts to the right: Today it’s:

* Trump 54%, Clinton 36%.
* Trump 53%, Sanders 39%.
* Trump 53%, Biden 37%.
* Trump 54%, Gore 36%.

There is really no good news in here for either the Democrats or the GOP establishment. First, it shows Trump beating Hillary in men, voters age 35 and above, among whites and Asians. He is only 5 points behind her among women. He has 31% of the Hispanic vote and 25% of the black vote. (I will just note here that a June poll in Nevada had Trump pulling in 31% of Hispanics and was ridiculed.) To compare and contrast with Mitt Romneys exit polls, Trump has essentially the same gap in women as Romney. On the other hand, Romney too 7% of the black vote, 21% of the Hispanic vote, and 27% of the Asian vote. To the extent this poll is accurate it dispels the calumny that Trump is leading based on the votes of white racists. If the percentage of black vote is accurate within 10 points, Trump would win the election.

When the poll asked everyone who they think the GOP nominee will be, the outcome was Trump (39), Carson (14), Bush (20), Cruz (6), Rubio (4), Fiorina (3), Walker (2), Kasich (4) and meh, who knows (17). Bush made his place on the list due to the votes of Democrats. The stronger the Democrat the more likely they were to think Bush would win the nomination.
