This is never meant to be Oscar material. It is aimed at 10-?? woman. It just happens to have some fans in the male category too. Is this movie going to be the best movie coming out this year no way, but it also wont be the worst.

I am looking forward to the big battle at the end though. Cullens/Werewolfs against an army of new born Vampires.

My favorite line of the trailer is the very first line, because

that's what Edward says when he proposes to Bella in the book (a real proposal: on one knee, ring, the works) and she says yes

well...that trailer was...meh. The only intriguing part from someone who hasn't read the books was the Volturi coming to Washington and getting pissed off. I mean it looks like it will be 2 hours+ of the last 5 minutes of the last movie.

BELLA: I love you Edward.
EDWARD: I'll protect you and love you forever and ever and ever and...
JACOB: Bella, pick me (actual quote in trailer and movie)
BELLA: Um...

I mean narratively it doesn't seem to be moving very far along, especially after she says "It'll be him. It's always been him."

The major conflict seems to appear from the red headed *****, but even that is recycled from the last movie/book. I love the line..

BELLA: Edward she found us!

I hope the next line is,

EDWARD: Uh...well yeah. We didn't exactly drop off the grid or even move to the next town over, my darling.

Look, I'm not trying to be a Twilight hater. I didn't care for the last two movies, but they were at least somewhat entertaining when I was dragged to them and I actually defend Meyer's choices in mythology (though I don't particularly like her vision of it). With that said, this trailer makes the movie look like it is spinning its wheels but going nowhere fast. Other than the Volturi coming to town, that is.

Eclipse is actually the most "action-ey" of the series. They just didn't focus on that aspect with this particular trailer.

My concern, is it's been with the entire series, the acting and the dialogue, which still appear to be profoundly awful based on that trailer.

...Yeah. Not too much of a shock as to why Twilight as a book or film series is popular.
