God, you would expect him to shrug his shoulders after saying that.

Seriously. I've seen better reasoning in a child's persuasive essay.

I'm just going to repeat this warning, seeing as how this thread is starting to get out of hand again:

However, I will remind everyone that this thread is about the new film and not a place to troll with childish rants about the Twilight series, its author, and its fans.

For the record, I don't like Twilight either, but I we do have a lot of fans of the series here and they should be respected just like fans of any other popular franchise.

So stay on topic of the film - or stay out of the thread.

I was aware that's what a message board was, to speak your opinions. Alas, I assume since someone didn't like my opinion on the franchise and it's fans they had had it removed.

Nope, no one reported it. I was just checking out the thread and it seemed there was an entire page devoted to posting videos of extreme fans and making fun of them, which was off-topic and from experience with past Twilight threads, just leads into bashing all Twilight fans.

Just trying to keep this thread on the topic of the film and not ripping the fans.

Like I said before, I don't like Twilight either, but it's not fair for the fans we do have here (and we have quite a few) to have to put up with that when they want to discuss the new trailer.

To be fair, he said "You have to consider the idea that I might be better for her than you are." which wasn't as bad. But yeah "I want you to pick me instead of him." makes him sound extremely desperate...especially after she didn't choose him in the last film. He does get the best line in the trailer though: "I'm gonna fight for you until your heart stops beating." Wow - I'm quoting the whole trailer *stops*

it is a message board not every thread is gonna be 100% positive i don't hate twilight because of the fans i hate it because it is just bad writing and bad acting.Even something like twilight deserves some substance in it's material

I have no disrespect for the fans or anyone for liking the series. Though some of them are insane, like uber fans of anything. Sports, comics, etc. Everyone has the psychos. But I think I can come here and post my thoughts on the trailer, which was bad. Like any other thread where people have different opinions. I can understand these threads to get out of control with hate, I'm just here to state that the trailer was bad and the dialogue was just terrible.

I just read Eclipse, and honestly found it quite engaging *shrugs*.

Breaking Dawn is a bit wacked out though, and I don't know how the hell they're going to avoid an R rating for that one.

I find this a bit unfair to attack her acting ability in these films. Stewart has been quite good in pretty much everything she has been in outside of these films.

Kristen Stewart in Twilight is a good actress undone by horrible dialogue, IMO.

Taylor Lautner just cannot act. And personally I have no idea why he's even considered good-looking.

So I've watched the trailer a couple more times now and it has grown on me. Being a fan of the books the movies have been more of hit and miss. There are parts of both I like and parts I don't. I'm still just not feeling the wow factor I wish I was. Maybe that is because I left the second movie feeling like the wolf pack got screwed and they are my favortie part of the books.
