Remember the series premeire of Justice League where Superman destroyed every single nuclear weapon. Look at what happened, White Martians came in and invaded us!

Seriously though, it is very naive to have "The U.S. should destroy their nukes." There are other countries that have nuclear weapons and the United States (along with Russia and China) should be one of the last nations to destroy their weapons. India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel should be the first nations to destroy their nuclear weapons. Followed by the United Kingdom and France. And finally the great nuclear powers should rid of them.

It's never going to happen though. The nuclear club will continue to expand and likely include Japan, South Korea, Iran, and Saudi Arabia someday. I wouldn't be surprised if Germany, Canada, and Australia decided to join in also.

This is sadly true

Iran and North Korea don't really have the balls to attack with nukes. Because they know that if they did the United States, China and the EU would bomb them into the stone age with conventional weapons.

You know you just proved why the U.S shoudn't dismantle their nukes.

No, I didn't. Iran and NK don't have the testicular fortitude to do it but terrorists will. Russia has many a nuke that a determined person could grab. We can't fight terrorists with nukes, if you get rid of the weapon nobody can use it.

Did you ever think that maybe Iran and N. Korea don't have the "testicular fortitude to do it" because we have nukes.

I'm confused to why you posted this.

We've already agreed to not use them.

Why keep them?

At least stop making more.

Unfortunately Iran and N. Korea agreed to no such thing.

They don't have the balls to attack with nukes.

Besides, if we react the same way the next thing you know we'll be in the midst of nuclear winter.

Tell me you will feel the same way when the U.S. is Cherboybl.

That's what I'm trying to tell you. They don't have the balls because we have the bombs. If we got rid of our nukes their balls would get alot bigger.

No, they are afraid of China and the EU teaming up with the U.S.

for fracks sake the only country in the world (except mars) proven to have the testicular ability is the US but how did that help

me thinks "i have become death, the destroyer of worlds" was a verry good phrase

North Korea definetely has the testicular fortitude to use a nuclear weapon. They have nothing to lose. They have no allies, not even China is prepared to fully stand up for them. Its economy has failed. Its people are starving to death on account of famine, the collapse of the food distribution system and the collapse of the communist world further isolating an alredy isolated nation. It only has diplomatic ties with under 50 nations and isn't on friendly terms with any of the ones it has ties with, so they don't have the fear of allienating the international community. It has very few trading partners (mostly with China). Over all it's in a crappy state of condition and there is really no way to punish North Korea because there is nothing for them to lose.

Iran is just attempting to get into a state of MAD with Israel to prevent them from using nuclear weapons ever, just like the United States and the Soviet Union. Unlike North Korea, Iran would have much to lose. There are Middle Eastern nations that are willing to live in peace with Israel. There is the threat of war with the United States or some other major power which Iran would lose in and they would end up in a state like Iraq was after the first Gulf War where they would be in heavy debt and it's resources would be unable to make the country rich. They don't have the balls to use them, they just want them to make Israel afraid of using theirs.

The only nations that have the capability to launch a nuclear weapon at the United States would be the other 4 major nuclear powers, France, Russia, China, and the United Kingdom.

North Korea, Israel, Pakistan, and India do not posess such an ability.

With the nations that do have the balls to use nuclear weapons lacking the capability and the state of peace among the Big Five, there is no fear of nuclear war comming towards the US at the time being.

Yes,the US should. But we know they are not going to..why?Since the world does not really fear the USA,or even respect it much anymore for that matter. They think they should have arms to protect themselfs.

The world does still fear the United States. It's the world's only superpower. Iran, Syria, Libya, Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea fear the United States for it's military power and the prospect of invasion. Many Russians are "angry" for basically bankrupting the Soviet Union out of its superpower status. The United States is often quite good at getting it's way, not so much right now due to Bush and his blunder at Iraq.

Although your rant about the respect the United States was really pointless.

The argument for keeping nukes as a deterrent to war is valid only to the extent that we can assume that nobody is actually crazy enough to be the first to fire a nuclear warhead at another. What will happen when all the countries have nuclear weapons, and there is a war?

As to the confusion surrounding the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, read the article again -the treaty may have been signed, but it is far from being ratified, because of the unwillingness of countries such as the U.S. to accept these as unlawful weapons. Ratification of this treaty would not require the U.S. to destroy its nuclear arsenal, but it would eliminate all legitimate uses of these weapons, including testing.

Why should we outlaw things like chemical and biological weapons, while insisting on the right to use nuclear? Are these not WMD also? Do they not kill innocent civilians?

Are we morally fit to judge people like Bin Laden, if we ourselves condone the killing of innocents in war, as a means to an end? For those who claim that the use of nuclear weapons can be morally excused, you may want to check out the story connected to the following link:

Yeah, because everyone knows America would be run over my any nation with an AK and a mule if it's wasn't for our nukes.
