The Ultimate Jossverse Thread

That's pretty cool. Ain't It Cool News covers all things Buffy and a lot of the Paley Fests, so I'm sure they'll have something on it afterward.

I wish I could go. To bad we can never seem to get the whole cast together, but hopefully SMG doesnt back out.

Assuming some other of you guys are intending to watch that Dr Horrible thing, are any other of you guys have trouble getting on to the site, my connection keeps timing out cus of how long it's taking.

Dollhouse seems kind of lame to me. I'll watch it and everything, but I'm not really looking forward to it too much.

I'm watching it mostly for Tahmoh Penikett. He was awesome on Battlestar Galactica.

I just want to take this moment to say that Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog is my most favoritest thing ever... For the moment, anyway.

Well i mean it doenst look lame to me and Joss has yet to dissapoint so..Im glad u guys are at least giving it a chance.

I am watching the season of Angel and I am on Season 4. The more I watch it the more I think how cool it would've been if Lilah and Faith were added to Angel Investigations.

Such a shame Angel was cancelled as it was getting really, really good in Season 5.

They should have kept Lilah around for season five as the fang gangs Wolfram and Hart guide, at the very least. And they should have added Gwen Raiden to the cast. I thought that was what they were going for with her appereances throughout season four.

Also, I think season four gets a bad rap. It was great up until the revelation about Cordy and Jasmine's debut.

I was just reading that Joss planned to do a Spike spin-off television series and it would've included Illyria as well.

But in all honesty I truly believe they should adapt The After The Fall storyline into a mini-series or a feature film. Season 5 was very, very good and they hadn't even scratched the surface in terms of the potential the storyline had.

Just recently I bought all the Seasons for Angel and what I remember most about the show was how it was a family event at my house. Hell, I hated shows like Buffy, Angel, and Dawson's Creek as I felt they were just shows for teeny boppers and had no substance. But a friend of mine and my dad told me how good the show Angel was.

So I watched it once and I was hooked. It was the episode were they had to exorcise a demon from a child and it turned out the boy was evil the entire time.

Only thing I didn't like about Season 4 was I felt Connor and Angel deserved a happier ending. Connor definitely should've known that Angel loved him and did what he could to prove that.

As for Wesley? I know Alexis Denisof stated that he felt killing off Wesley was the right thing to do as his story came full circle. However, I think it would've been different to see him still aid Angel in the fight against evil and even come to accept Illyria as a form of Fred.

Either a Wolfram and Hart guide, or part of Angel Investigations. I think it would've been nice to see her find redemption as well and even be the one that Wesley could fall in love with.

Deep down I believe she loved Wesley and was possibly the one woman who actually understood him.

Lilah was great but she didn't need to have any sort of redemption arc. The great thing about her character was how committed she was to doing W&H's dirty work. She wasn't a flip-flopper like Lndsey and it was extremely rare to even see her second-guess something evil she'd done. It wouldve great to have her stick around for season 5, but I'm fine with the way she ended up.

Yeah, there are some characters where redemption is necessary (Faith, Darla) and there are some that are better of without it (Lilah).

I've just started rewatching Firefly after over a year of not seeing an episode. I forgot how amazing it was. Which just makes me angrier at Fox. :cmad:

I have a question: I always hear people talking about "Doublemeat Palace" with overtones of sheer dread. Always hear it referred to as one of the worst episodes in the series. I re-watched it recently, and I really enjoyed it. It was well done for a comedic stand alone. I thought Manny the manager was really funny. So, I guess I'm curious as to what is considered wrong with it.

Ive been re-watching alot of Buffy and Angel here lately and even though I still love both shows and the characters I feel like Ive really out grown them. They're kinda like Star Wars for me something I was really into at one time and even read all the EU stuff I could get my hands on but now I've moved onto more mature, complex, intricate stuff. I still get so damn pissed off at how Angel ended too. Not really storywise cuz the story was great at the end it just pisses me off cuz it really got cut down in its prime. And I still hold a very deep grudge for "Not Fade Away" being the last glimpse of Spike we ever got on tv. Even though it was kinda moving him reciting the poem he wrote for Cecily. I dunno. I just miss Spike its truly a shame we never got a Spike/Faith series those 2 wouldve worked great together

Spike/Faith.... I'll pass. It'd basically just be those two waving at the camera saying "Hi, we're the slightly edgier Buffy and Angel. Isnt that exciting?"

Now, Spike/Illyria... that I'd watch.

What?!? Spike and Faith wouldve been great together. I liked Illyria but I dont really see how shed fit with Spike. I mean the first time Spike and Faith meet (when shes in her actual body) You could just tell that those 2 could have amazing chemistry together.
