Dont get me wrong, I like Vaughn. I love his characterization on UXM, its just the stories themselves that are lackluster. I like how he tries to go against the grain, but more often than not it doesnt work. Best example would be his Sinister arc. Great characterization. Terrible villain and plot. Best example of it occasionally working was the UXM annual. I really doubt anyone saw that coming.

hopefully not, Apocalypse is such a yawn when he's trying to be taken seriously.

I like the whole "figment of imagination or not?" thing going right now.

Well, they showed Sinister still alive, but in prison, and he was still ranting about the coming of his master, so they obviously still have plans for Apocalypse.

The only worthy villain they've had so far is Magneto.UXM needs another villain just as strong characterwise as Magneto.Sinister is a lost cause unless the writer's figure out something nice for him.

It's not that bad!It's still a good book,especially with the current MN arc.

Ultimate X-men is my favorite comic right now, period.I love magnetic north so far, and i'm glad Wolverine isn't a so short.The art isn't to my liking, but it isn't horrendous.I'm very excited for the A0A and Dark Pheonix storylines that should be coming up very soon,especially since I just bought X-men legends 2:Rise Of The Apocalypse, and since the dark pheonix movie is on it's way.Havoc is written superbly so far,as well as most others.So all in all, i love the characterization, stories and action,Way to go to everyone who has worked on UXM, especially mr. Vaughan.

I don't know, Black Queen. Maybe you're reading different version of this book than the rest of us. I think if a poll was done, you'd find the majority of readers are more than satisfied with this book. It ranks about as high if not the same as the flagship X-titles. If the book was that bad, it wouldn't be up there. My suggestion is that if you hate it so badly, you drop it at your earliest convenience if you haven't already.
