In the sense that "cooler" means "useless and stupid," then yes, I agree.

Not useless, the benefits of Hover technology could benefit the whole species if ever produced.

What are the benefits of a Cell Phone? People got along fine with out them. Now i can see you saying that people got along fine before Hover tech (if its ever invented) but I would see it as innovative as the Automobile.

They should stop calling smartphones "phones," really. They need some other name, considering people tend to use them for everything except talking.

I want smartsocks. Complete with a microwave.

I think someone might have asked, but has something changed with embedding YouTube videos since we changed servers? I can't get them to work, and I notice other posters who flub it, too.

Cuz everybody wants to get into a traffic jam in mid-air.

Black Dynamite was pretty funny, but I don't think it's nearly as good as people make it out to be. It's nothing I see myself really wanting to watch more than once

I think the quotes are why people love the movie so much. The dialogue is just so ridiculously awesome that it earns a couple more points for the movie.

Man, I had no idea Ramona Flowers was Gwen Grayson from Sky High.

Agreed. :) I loved how they figured out the mystery behind the drug. :p

I'm inclined to agree that you don't need anything on your phone other than a phone. Speaking is easier and faster than texting. I get out of the house to get away from the internet, so god knows why I'd carry it with me. It also helps to keep your mp3 player separate from your phone so you don't kill the batteries on your phone just because you had an urge to listen to music.

I'd prefer the MP3 on the phone. Most of the time, if I'm walking down the street listening to my MP3, I can't hear my phone ring. (Also, I often forget to switch to vibrate, so there's that.) I like that I could be listening to something, then it stops cuz I'm getting a call. The less s**t I got to carry around the better.

Agreed. I like having an MP3 and the net on my phone. It comes in handy a lot of the time

What makes you hate telephones Lix?
conversations on them always feel awkward. if it takes more than 3 min i get ancy and look for a way out.
Might check that out. What was that show about
a guy who gets tomorrows newspaper today and then spends his day trying to stop all the disasters he read in the paper from happening.

You are a rather odd one, lix, a rather odd one, indeed.

Oh, I remember that show. It was pretty decent

i'm quirky:o
does no one else feel that way? unless you live 6 hrs away or something anything that you want to talk about for that long you can meet face to face for.

I have friends I can't see daily because we all have jobs and ****, so no....you're just a weirdo

You just seem to have a lot of unorthodox ways of doing things. And, no, not really. I tend not to talk on the phone all that much, either, but I never feel like it gets awkward or anything, and I have had some rather long phone conversations in the past.

you have to speak to every one of your friends every day?

sure there are some folks i can talk to on the phone for up to an hour, but that's like...2 people.

we email back and forth from our respective offices or text...not every day, but we e-chat regularly

Do not really feel very strongly about phones. They are just there. They are useful and some of the apps for an Iphone are neat but I do not worry about having to own the latest one

Sounds interesting. I think I will check that show out

I've always found the main character to be kinda stupid. I mean, if I got tomorrows paper today, I'd just go play the lotto.
