we email back and forth from our respective offices or text...not every day, but we e-chat regularly
well that's not a phone call is it:o

i have no such feelings about texting or e-mailing, but a phone call just feels...intrusive. with a phone call it it's like "hey, stop what you're doing RIGHT NOW, i have to talk about something!"

I've always found the main character to be kinda stupid. I mean, if I got tomorrows paper today, I'd just go play the lotto.
didn't he once? how else can he afford to do nothing but run around reading the paper all day?

Only time getting a call bothers me is when it is a telemaketer

Didn't his friend try to use the newspaper for financial gain, and all of the facts changed the next day?

If that happened, I wouldn't even bother then. You want me to risk my life, but I can't get some paper because of it? F**k that s**t.

If I had a paper that told the future the first thing I would probably check is the lottery numbers:funny:

only the fist time, you win that more than once and folks start to check into it then all of a sudden POOF no more magic newspaper. you need to look at sports scores and then "gamble" on them. you'd have to lose every now and then to throw off the scent, but it's a much safer money from future advice prospect.

never been much of a tom clancy fan. started kiss the girls by pressman today, seems to be pretty creepy thus far.

Depending on how much money is at stake, you might only need to win the lottery once.

well sure, but then you gotta know how to manage the money and spread it out over time, and the legal bs and a mountain of other headaches. the most i think i've ever seen a lottery pot be is 150 mil, but you're going to lose a significant chunk of that in taxes and it'll come in awkward unless you negotiate for a lower sum to come in as one payment, but with sports bets it's cash as you need it.

A significant chunk will be taken, but I can get by quite well with 65 million. I mean, how much do you even need? Besides, it would be better to do both. I'll save that kid from drowning after I make a stop at Off Track Betting and put down a 10,000 dollar bet on Santa's Nuts in the fifth race. :o

i'm advocating doing both.. you do the lottery once first then use the winnings from that for "gambling". you higher an accountant to make sure you have enough to live comfortably then take make some mad money at the track.

And in between, see if you can stop a few accidental deaths. I'm not gonna stop any murders or terrible accidents. Seems like the sorta thing that could get you killed, and I can't spend my money if I'm dead. :o

i'd be batman, but like, white collar batman, breaking into the homes of inside traders and scaring the crap out of them.
