the grainy thing was on purpose though. they wanted to make it all nice and 70's horror-y. did all star superman get a showcase short?

so, tcm has a great line up this week!

laurence of arabia on wed, 12 angry men on thursday. love'em both

The Spectre short was kind of neat the Jonah Hex one was my favouritest

Just regular Superman, alongside Captain Marvel and Black Adam.

Neat i loves Captain Marvel

So the ball goes to first base by itself then?

:doom: :doom: :doom:

Yes, I'm aware that the defensive half of the game involves teamwork, hence me saying "in all aspects".

Hockey, soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, jai alai, etc. all involve teams facing teams simultaneously. Baseball is team vs. individual, and while some hitters will aim to get on base and improve the team's chances, most are thinking "home run" when they step up to the plate, because that's where the glory is.

Compare this to a football quarterback (in what's really America's pasttime). Sure, they get the glory, but they're not the ones actually running the ball for touchdowns. They're only as good as the team is. They need guys to catch the ball, guys to block incoming opponents, etc. It's a team sport.

Baseball is half a team sport.

You don't know what you're talking about.

Quarterbacks don't run touchdowns? Quarterbacks don't want to score touchdowns every play? You're high.

OBP, RBI's, and BA are all important to baseball player's salary. They want to get on base and they want to bring in runs.

Try something else.

I'm not here to convert anyones opinion on baseball....but on ABC right now is 'Four Days In October'...tells the story of the 2004 ALCS....living here in the northeast, I can tell you I have never seen anything galvanize fans like that series

I was working at Blockbuster the night of Game 6 and we were dead, I got a phone call from our district manager asking why numbers were so low that night and I told him "everyone is at home watching the game"

You do know that pitchers can automatically walk hitters right? You know that a hitter who hits in front of you can determine how well the individual batter performs? You know that a hitter behind you can determine whether you score or not?

Your argument is just a bunch of Football elitism.

Hey, what can I say, I'm biased towards a game that's fun to play and fun to watch.

You didn't tell him "What'ya think?"

I guess millions of fans CAN be wrong.

And don't lie. You touched a football once during band practice.

:cap: :cap: :cap:

Millions of fans can be wrong, look at NASCAR.

I have played both football and baseball, but hockey is where I'm best. Helps that it's my favorite sport.

And where do you get the idea that I know how to play an instrument?

Naked grandma, nuff said.

Poke a hole in a piece of paper and look at it through that, like an eclipse.
