Except, that doesn't work and it will never work. And honestly, I wouldn't have a problem with WBC if they're protests were actually relevant to what they were protesting. Homosexuality has nothing to do with a dead soldier's funeral. Homosexuality has nothing to do with Comic-Con. These people apply for permits, they should be denied permits if there is no correlation with what their protesting and the event they're protesting. It's ridiculous to me that these people and other groups are even allowed to do this. Public street my ass. I've seen bums get picked up the cops on a public street just for sitting there. So that's not a sufficient excuse.

They don't JUST protest homosexuality. They protest dead soldiers funerals either because they don't like who they're fighting for OR because they're hyper-Calvinist *****ebags who believe they died because they were displeasing God (or they don't believe in either, since both arguments have massive truck sized holes in them, and just like to instigate trouble for their own benefit through legal process). They protest Comic-Con because they claim we're making false idols of these characters... and they're probably none too happy with several characters being depicted in their non-puritanical style as well.

Anyway, I said enough before...

Yes, but not everyone is going to be strong enough to not give these people attention.

They're instigating conflict and then using their knowledge of the legal system to profit from it and thus give themselves greater power, influence and relevance.

So the answer isn't quite as simple as that. They SHOULD be getting attention, but attention that is counter-productive to their goals.

...Like community service announcements which go into detail of the best way to handle these people, rather than shock news segments which whip people into a fervour and only aid these peoples'ends.

They're just a bunch of hyper-Calvinist pricks who represent the worst of America, cranked up to eleven, who get by because they understand the system you all live in and expose it's loopholes and flaws to maximum benefit.
