I guess the real question for Hob is, do you even want to be in a relationship?
To be honest, I dont know.
There are people out there who don't need to be in a relationship. There are people out there who are essentially asexual as well.A lot of reasons, I guess. Being close to people is new to me. I've always been independent. Its tantalizing and alien at the same time. I dont have a lot of time, as I'm working my way through grad school. That and I took women for granted as an undergrad. I may not have partook in what they were offering but that doesnt mean I wasnt flattered or tempted. I cant remember the last time an attractive woman my age gave me the time of day.
It just seems that you don't want to make an effort to meet anyone. Which again is your prerogative. But if you are waiting for things to fall in your lap, you'll probably be waiting a long time. Meeting people is about going out to there. And yes I understand that you're in grad school and possibly working, but others seem to be able to do that and be in a relationship at the same time. Just hope you're just not using excuses because you're just "content" in the status quo.
