No, just a fun, underrated bubblegum popcorn flick.

Well, they re-aged her to eighteen, so good, I'm hoping to get her back to thirteen. I'm confident by then your denial of Speed Racer's greatness will thin, so you won't be murdering love.

But, seriously, it's a fun movie. Outside some bits that needed to be cut out (like the stuff with his younger brother, all of it), it was good.

No surprise about Portman, she was up for Cloud Atlas, and I think she's friends with the Wachowskis.

Keeping an eye out for this. The title itself is cool enough.

So I was confused with the directing duo. I originally thought they were called the Wachowski Brothers. Then I saw that picture of them on set of Cloud Atlas and was thinking, "Where is the other brother and why is there a woman sitting next to him? Is she his sister and I was wrong about the brothers thing?"

Then they mentioned Lana and I thought it was some nickname but the fact it was feminine was odd.

Then to wikipedia...

I just wanted to say Speed Racer is awesome, aside from a few terrible scenes. Matthew Fox was da bomb, yo!.

I'm interested in this film. I really like The Matrix Trilogy (mainly the first) so if the trailer is good, I'll check it out.

Given the film's details is being kept under wraps, it must have been intriguing enough for Portman to consider it. But yes, Portman teaming up with The Wachowskis again would be great.

The Wachowskis stopped being relevant in like 2003 when Matrix Reloaded came out.

Speed Racer and Ninja Assassin were terrible.

They're relevant enough to be given the benefit of the doubt for the time being considering NOTHING is known about this project yet.

At least wait until you have some concrete info before ****ting on something.

Never watched Lost, I'm basing this strictly on his work in Speed Racer. He alternated between tragic billionaire and costumed badass perfectly.

Speed Racer is one of the most visually creative movies ever made. It pretty much convinced me the Wachowskis are cinematic gods.

But acid trips are awesome. It's only the come downs that suck. Since SR was like the trip, leaving must've been the come down. Don't let the come down color your view of the trip. I guess it could've been a bad trip, but only losers have bad trips. Make sure to bring weed for the come downs, it helps a lot!
