i love waynes world SNL skit, movie 1, movie 2, and i want a 3rd. mike myers needs a big revival, as does dana carvey. austin powers 3 was so so, and i dont see Love Guru being anything special....go back to your roots mike...Waynes World 3 would be huge.

As much as I enjoyed the two Wayne's World films, i think the opportunity to do a 3rd one has long since passed us by.

The first film is an absolute classic and one of my favorite movies of all time. The chemistry between Myers and Carvey was palpable, Lowe was a great villian, Tia Carerre was awesome, and the writing and humor felt fresh. And unlike most SNL movies, it felt like an actual film rather than just a 2 hour skit from the show. There are a ton of classic scenes in it (the "Bohemian Rhapsody" sequence, the product hawking scene, every scene with Ed O'Neil).

The second film is horrendous save for a few scenes. It felt like it was phoned in with no real effort.

That being said, I wouldn't mind a third. The concept of Wayne and Garth being in their 40s' and still hosting a cable tv show out of Wayne's basement would be pretty funny.

I think I remember hearing that Mike Myers and Dana Carvey refuse to work with eachother again, something to do with a fued the two have. I don't know the details.

meh, as much as I like the movies, there REALLY shouldn't be a third one. Myers hasn't done anything worthwile since the first Austin Powers, and Carvey... well, "poor Dana" is all I can say about his career.

When they go past the fruit carts, the plate glass windows, etc., and Wayne is like, "Gee, I can't help but think this is all going to pay off somehow later.", was one of the best jokes ever.

As terrible an idea as this is, and as horrible as it would probably turn out......I'd much rather see Wayne's World 3 instead of another god awful Austin Powers movie.

why have a 3rd? to laugh. plain and simple. its not like there was aneed for a 2nd, or a 1st for that matter...why have 3 austin powers, american pies, 2 ace venturas, any comedic sequel...

The timing is absolutely perfect for a third movie though.

The first two explore a couple of 20-something, metal head losers in the 90s. What happens when the 90s become the new millenium and these two 20-something metal heads become 30-something metal heads who are outgrown by the times. They are still living in their parent's houses. They are still running a cable access show. It could actually be quite brilliant. A lot of fish out of water material as they try to stay cool.

That being said...it'll never happen. Why? Simple. Look at who was in the second movie...TED MCGINELY! Like so many shows and movies before Wayne's World...the Patron Saint of Jumping The Shark killed the franchise

I loved the first one. I even ordered the ball cap that Myer's wears from the little order form they included with the soundtrack. Still have it.

*which was pretty hard to find on Youtube, someone with the DVD needs to upload the movie clip asap, as one was taped off tv, and the other is missing the beginning and has sucky sound.

Yup they haven't spoken in years and one of the reasons is because myeres stole the charecter of dr.evil off dana. dr. evil is an impersonation of lorne michales that dana is notoriouse for doing and when he found out meyers swiped it he was pretty mad. this wasn't the first time meyers has stolen characters, especially for the austin powers franchise. in fact fat basterd is a complete note for note swipe from a dead canadian comedien.
