THIS is the game i am most excited for. I just finished The Witcher 2 for the 3rd time the other day and the whole time i kept thinking, damn im ready for the Wticher 3. Gonna be so damn sick.

No i never played the orig Witcher, just had to read up on it with Wiki's. From what i understand the orig Witcher is fairly dated by now. I think you are good just going right into the 2nd game. I mean i didnt have any issues understanding anything when i played through it. Its all pretty self contained.

Altho i believe both games are UBER cheap on Steam, so it prob wouldnt hurt to snag both.

The first game can be found for pretty cheap on Steam or GOG.com, and it's not really a powerhouse game, so you could probably run it on medium or high even with a generally okay pc or laptop. Runs pretty well on my laptop.

I haven't beaten The Witcher, either, so you really could just jump into the second without a real hitch. They do a good job of covering alot of ground too in explaining things with some of the animated comics I believe is in the extras menu. I could see someone getting into The Witcher 2, and then backtracking into the first game and the books if they fall in love with the characters and world.

I did read the translated novels. Those are pretty damn good, and was helpful in understanding who Yennifer is (she gets mentioned quite a bit) and Ciri (who gets mentioned a few times).

Witcher 2 was such a great game. Combat took a little getting used to but the story and characters so much better than the last Dragon Age game

Guess CDProjekt has a slightly larger studio now.

Yeah, it's good to see. I guess now they're also a two game studio, and not a one game studio anymore. They are working on Cyber Punk.

And now they can afford to have horses in the game. I remember hearing about how CDPR wanted to have horses in The Witcher 2, but the animation and stuff for it was just too expensive for them.

I still wonder if there's gonna be any way for 360 users to have their save files transfer over. I don't really see how that's possible but I do know that Minecraft was gonna look into seeing if they could do the same.

Maybe we can make decisions at the start of the game that reflects what I did during the Witcher 2. I mean I'd like my relationship with Triss and my alliance with Saskia and Iorveth to transfer over

Well they did something similar with Mass Effect, so it seems like such a thing is possible.

ProjectPat, according to my contact at CD Projekt Red, they are trying to make it so the PC version of 3 will carry over your saves from 2. They are looking into the possibility of doing it on the consoles but they have no hard facts on that as of yet.

Thanks for the info. Yea I figured they'd look into something for the XB1 version and prob give the PS4 something similar to what ME2 had.

Maybe they'll allow you to copy your W2 save into the cloud then use that in W3? I have no idea. If anyone can figure it out, it's CDPR

'Cyper Punk' is such a stupid title. It's like instead of naming it 'The Witcher', it went by the name of "Medieval Fantasy".

Well Cyber Punk 2077 was already a franchise name, I don't think they had much control over that.
