Comics The Wolverine thread

I was really hoping that skeleton came from a SHIELD LMD (Life Model Decoy) and Wolverine was using it to make Nitro think he took him out. The real Wolverine was observing events from a distance (apparently not far enough away so as to be completely unharmed). I hope Marvel is not pushing the idea that Wolverine can't be killed by an injury shown to be sufficient to incinnerate all organic matter from his body. I recognize that suspension of disbelief is an essential part of the comic book medium, but so is internal consistency!

See the only other reason I could see that wolverine used some MGH but thats out of the question.:(
How so? Once I read that thing up there, that was what immediately came to mind.

I'm actually strangley interested in this.
Wolverine, when he started out just healed quite quickly compared to normal people, but over the past 5-10 years hes become pretty much invulnerable.
I like that the Writer's going to actually adress this excessive increase in his healing powers in a story. Im hoping it could even result in his healing factor being reduced to its original, more interesting level.

there is no normal it all depends on the story and the writer writing said story

how come wolverine is tall now? i liked him as the short guy

so is he only tall in the ultimate universe then? i only noticed this because i was checking out the marvel ultimate alliance game and noticed that in his biography on the site it said he was 5'8, but as far as i can tell that game isnt set in the ultimate universe(caps costume, spidey looks grown up, fury is white)

That is Cap's Ultimate costume on the site.
Anyway, yeah, Ultimate Wolverine is 5'8, sometimes 5'9 for some reason, and regular Wolverine is 5'3. They have been having effects on each others appearances from time to time though. Regular Wolverine would at times have long hair or would even be taller than guys like Beast for some reason. He even wore the same costume as his Ultimate self for a while (which was stupid) so I can see where the confusion comes from.

do u happen to know why they seem to be useing a mix of ultimate and 616 then for the game?

It makes it accessible to non-fans/new fans while still giving older fans enough to placate?

They did it in X-Legends and X-Legends 2.

I think there was actually an interview explaining it somewhat but I forget the exact rationale they used.

I just read the new Origins, I can't wait to see what happens next with Omega Red.

I got the variant cover done by Ed Mcguiness, it looks so cool, I wish he would do some art for Wolverine.
