The Worst Movie Endings Ever

i dont agree with this article at all, and whats funny is that he picks some of the greatest movies ever made. I saw Blade Runner in the theater and what i dug about it was that you were never sure if Decker and Sean Young were replicants.I like that it wasn't spelled out for you.As for Citizen Kane. yeah it might have just been a sled, but it was the only thing to a man that had everything to ever to have any importance.I agree with some of it like the remake of planet of the apes, but thats about it.

i liked what magnolia did and ive seen ending that were much worse. also he should of expected that type of ending for saving private ryan . this guy basically used good films to get a buzz for his article .

Lame!

I agree that LOTR ended badly and that There Will Be Blood ended badly and that Grease was just weird, but the rest is shock-jock fodder and fanboy whining.

The guy also just has no idea what 2001: A Space Odyssey is about. I doubt he even wants to interpret movies at all. He just wants to be spoonfed his answers

And then he complains that the ending to Psycho was spelled out to us.

He's just seeking attention, and used classic movies for a controversial angle. Citizen Kane? Really? "Dur, it's just a sled! What a rip!" Hmm, because that's certainly not considered one of the greatest movies of all time or anything.

I mean, he's complaining about the ending to Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Has... has he never seen an episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus? Cop out endings are like their trademark. Well, that and giant cartoon feet stomping on things.

Attack of the Clones

Obi-Wan gets captured, Anakin goes to rescue him and gets captured, the Jedi go to rescue them and get captured, the clone army go to rescue them and there's a load of completely unexciting CGI machines blowing each other up, interspersed with Threepio turning out the worst puns since Batman & Robin...and the anticipated lightsaber battle with Dooku is lame. Then Yoda becomes Sonic the Hedgehog - and doesn't even beat Dooku!

So the Jedi achieve nothing, they don't know who the bad guys really are, the huge climactic battles are a stalemate...as Lucas has stated, most of the prequels are padding.

My main gripe with the list is the Planet of the Apes remake and the Monty Python Holy Gail. In the Apes ending I think the critics mis-analyzed the Thade theme. Obviously (to quote Doc Brown) they aren't thinking fourth dementionally. Walburg came back in time to a skewd time line. As far as Monty Python is concerned. I believe they are overly critical with a comedy movie. Duh it isn't going to be a work of art. People know what they are getting into when they watch this movie. Just like the Simpsons Movie or Family Guy movie.

I was implying their kind of work of art.

Apocalypse Now, Psycho, Blade Runner, 2001 ... he lost me at Trainspotting... i think that movie is great and i have no issues with the ending.

Ths guy is lame :hehe:

Yeah... the 'Everything's Alright' ending of Blade Runner sucks.
