The Brave One: What the hell!? It's like Terrence Howard's character turned into someone else! Why would he help her at the end after spending the entire movie trying to stop even if her boyfreind got killed? What a piece of crap!

Yeah, she sent it to him before she went after the gang members. It's just that he was so obsessed with the justice system despite knowing that many people go unpunished. So why help her? He even had to suspect in custody (he willingly gave himself up and looked like he was willing to plead guilty) and he even had video evidence as well as several witnesses, including the victim.
