The Wrestling Thread Caused John Cena's Divorce

This is probably in my bottom 5 of modern WMs. Everything post-X basically. 24, 15, 11 bad.
I haven't seen them all, but I'd rank this as the worst. The end had no really build-up. I think it was obvious by the lack of effort by both that the Rock was ready to job.

Oh god, I actually laughed at the stupid ****ing salute at the end. :funny:

Not that enjoying it was wrong. I did as well. But the proclamations were and still are ridiculous imo. Punk has had some real classics the last few years. This wasn't one.

Twilight fan? Really? Like I said you're overreacting like a whiney smark you didn't get every box on his scorecard chekced. Nobody here said it as PERFECT. It exceeded expectations though. I know I said it exceeded the matches with HHH in terms of ring work as a straight wrestling match that didn't use gimmicks. I don't think I even said anything about the emotion at first.

Favoritism my ass. People actually appreciated some strong work considerign the things goign against the match instead of being a hater who wants to be different from the crowd for the sake of some cool bullsh** smark attitude.

And yeah it is about different opinions. You have an issue with people liking it as much as they did and are overblowing it with lame jokes and insults. You don't like it? Fine. But stop giving people sh** if they felt a certain way.

If Cena brings back that crappy belt I'm gonna be majorly annoyed.

Yep. I'm not watching Raw again for months unless someone tells me something great happens. I love Punk, but I'll just watch him on YouTube again.

This was a horrible WrestleMania.

Better yet, it was horribly predictable. I don't think we've ever had a WrestleMania this predictable.

and next year is probably gonna be even worse, if the rumors turn out to be true.

And this is why people say Cena sucks.

Rock is definitely done after this. He officially "passed the torch", like he came back to do.

Rock's scheduled for Extreme Rules apparently and he's rumored to work in a program with Lesnar either for SummerSlam or WM 30. Rock's definitely not done. He may be done feuding with Cena though, and what a lackluster end to that feud :o

Man that £18 still sitting my wallet feels good right now, it doesn't even sound like there was anything worth checking youtube for bar Punk/Taker.

Check out the tag title match, just for the post match crowd reaction. That was amazing.

So you say...I predicted three/four matches wrong.. :cmad: :oldrazz:

Yeah, everything was by far too predictable. The only real suspense for me was whether Punk would actually end the streak, since there were some close calls.

Umm, how can one get a job as a writer for the WWE? My four year old is wanting to supplement his allowance.

Rock will get the belt back at Extreme Rules, he's got Fast 6 to promote after all.

Rock's not done. Though he should be. Rock, like Taker, will only be sticking around because he's a company man and he draws. So he will stick around because the company "needs" him.

This should really be Rock's last match. Juts like last year should have been Taker's.

The New York crowd was kinder than expected with the match. Better than last year, but it still felt odd. Also Cena for a year talked about how Rock stole him of his moment, his glory. So what does he do when he get redemption? Let's the Rock bask in the glory again? It doesn't make sense and it takes away from the whole build up of the match.

Rock looked at Cena like "dude...seriously...I have to salute you back now?"

Agreed. This show pretty much summed up everything that is wrong with WWE today.

I now wonder...would I have enjoyed the match more if the crowd was into it?

Then I see the ending of the match and think "**** it, I'd never enjoy the match now".

I don't understand why they continue with having Cena as this "awww shucks" guy. He's a puss.

HORRIBLE ending.

And I don't mean Cena winning, we all saw that coming.

But the ending after that was so......anti-climactic. I know what Cena was trying to do, but I disagreed with how he did it. I think it would've been better served by Cena staying in the ring and allowing the Rock to walk out to his entrance music (like Rock/Hogan). Then when the Rock finally says goodbye, Cena gets his moment to celebrate.

And Cena's salute was just stupid.
