If anything, Daniel Bryan should face off against Triple H at Wrestlemania next year to put some conclusion to the corporate angle.

Main Event spoiler

(1) Curtis Axel def. Dolph Ziggler following some interference by Ryback

Interesting one, wonder if they could be setting a dual title feud up with the mid card titles.

I'm surprised too, she was used for that One Night Only PPV for the Knockouts and all but all of those girls(not counting Jackie Moore and Jillian Hall) including her would give the Knockouts Division a much needed boost.

Mia had a good match with Kana in Shimmer last year, her and Ivelisse are the two I think both promotions are missing out on.

WWE SmackDown Spoilers

* Lilian Garcia comes out for SmackDown. JBL gets cheered while Michael Cole is met with mostly boos.

* A recap from Night of Champions and RAW is shown first. Vickie Guerrero is in the ring to open SmackDown. Loud boos when she says “Excuse Me!” She welcomes us to SmackDown.

As the General Manager, she needs to make this show the most thrilling, best ever. She’s here to introduce to someone. She repeats the WWE Championship title holder streaks. She introduced Daniel Bryan. Bryan says he would much rather be champion for 1 day then be a corporate suck up. Vickie says she is his boss & giving him an opportunity to come clean. Daniel says they both know he did nothing wrong. Vickie questions it & said he needs to come forward & tell the truth. Daniel asked if she wants the truth, and gave her it & said he kneed Orton in the face & the ref could have counted to 20 because Orton was knocked out.

He said he should still be WWE Champion. Vickie says she could have fired Daniel & hopes he never becomes the face of WWE. Daniel said everyone here should be happy Vickie has no power. Vickie said Daniel deserved to be beat up by The Shield. She shows us photos of all the superstars who helped Bryan on RAW Monday. She said we will have all 10 superstars plus Bryan in an 11 on 3 gauntlet match. One man will face all 3 members of The Shield at once until that person is defeated. She said she’s saving Daniel for last & laughs victoriously. She leaves & the crowd chants *******.

* Ryback will be in action later tonight.

* They show a commercial for John Cena’s app.

* WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee vs. Naomi is up next. Cameron is at ringside and Natalya is on commentary. AJ gets the win by submission.

* Jack Swagger vs. Santino Marella is up next. Zeb Colter cuts a promo before the match and says Swagger’s opponent is an immigrant. Santino ends up winning with a roll up.

* Ryback comes out with Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel. His opponent is some local guy named Nick from Cincinnati. Paul Heyman speaks and says that we know the big news – He’s the best in the world. He would like to give credit to CM Punk for giving him all he could handle at Night of Champions. He says our hero at Night of Champions wasn’t CM Punk and the winner of the match was Paul Heyman. He could not have done it without his hero. Ryback says Paul is gracious and doesn’t need to be picked on by Punk. Ryback said he hates bullies. Ryback says Nick tried to intimidate little kids and wants him to intimidate Ryback. Ryback squashes the guy & picks up the victory in less than two minutes.

* Randy Orton comes out. He says at Night of Champions, Daniel Bryan & Scott Armstrong conspired to steal the WWE Title from him. He takes all the blame and says the last two years he went deep down and thought we and the company wanted him to be like John Cena. He said he locked the way the viper because he thought that’s what everyone wanted. He said he went back to the viper that he was 3 years ago and made an example out of The Miz so we’d know who he really and truly is. The recap from RAW is shown and Orton said let that stand to a warning to anyone who thinks they will get in his path. He said after Battleground he will be champion and he is going to end the war between himself & Daniel Bryan. He promises to be our, no, not ours, once again promises to be his WWE Champion. The Shield comes out for their Gauntlet Match.

* The Shield’s first opponent is Darren Young and they destroy him. Titus O’Neil is out next and he fights them off but eventually they beat him down and pin him.

Dolph Ziggler is out next but he also gets overpowered. He finally fights back and takes them out one by one but gets counted out and loses after a spear from Roman Reigns.

Kofi Kingston is out next. Reigns tries to attack him on the ramp but Kofi dodges him. Kofi takes out Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose with dropkicks. Reigns takes Trouble In Paradise but the pin is broken. The Shield take back control and pin Kofi after Dean Ambrose hits his finisher.
Rob Van Dam is out next while Reigns is still down. RVD takes on Rollins and Ambrose. RVD hits a double Rolling Thunder and goes up for the Five Star Frogsplash but Triple H’s music hits and out he comes, calling the match off. Triple H argues with Vickie at ringside as the fans chant “this is ********!” Triple H sends everyone to the back and it appears the match is over.

* Backstage segment with Triple H yelling at Vickie backstage. Vickie says she thought the Gauntlet Match was best for business. Triple H tells her to make a six-man match – Daniel Bryan and The Usos vs. The Shield.

* Triple H is backstage with Zack Ryder and Justin Gabriel. He says they are talented. They want some competition. Triple H sends them to the ring and says he will find them some competition. Out comes Luke Harper and Erick Rowan with Bray Wyatt. Rowan and Harper win the match. Bray attacks Ryder after the match and says he will continue to take people out for Abigail.

* Rob Van Dam is backstage. Triple H walks in and apologizes for Vickie putting him in the gauntlet match. Triple H gives RVD a rematch against Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Title. Del Rio runs in and attacks RVD.

* R-Truth vs. Alberto Del Rio is up next. Del Rio gets the win by submission.

* The Shield is out first for the match followed by The Usos and Daniel Bryan. The Shield dominates most of the match on both of the Usos. The Uso in the ring is finally able to tag in Daniel Bryan & Bryan cleans house. The Usos take out Roman Reigns & Rollins jumps on them. The other Uso then jumps on all four of them and it’s down to Bryan & Ambrose. Bryan locks in the Yes Lock but Ambrose gets to the ropes. Bryan hits him with the knees for the win.

In what may have been part of the post-show, Randy Orton came down and attacked Bryan but Bryan got the upper hand and sent Orton to the back.

I'm glad Triple H stopped the Gauntlet match, Vickie should have a better handle on how booking in favour of the heels goes, The Shield working 11 matches in a row is not it! :funny:

I'm also glad that no WWE title match has been confirmed.

Sounds like a pretty busy show and another good one for Dolph. It also sounds like Orton cuts a really good promo if he can deliver the content well.

I'm guessing [BLACKOUT]RVD vs Del Rio[/BLACKOUT] is for Battleground? and I wonder if The Wyatt's will convert [BLACKOUT]Ryder[/BLACKOUT]? It would be a good move for him.

*Spoiler:* Main Event Revealed for WWE Battleground - Fate of the Vacant WWE Championship Decided

Several early live reports are coming in from tonight's WWE Smackdown and Main Event taping in Cincinnati, OH and the word going around is that the main event match has been announced for October's Battleground pay-per-view. According to the reports, Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton will face off in a re-match to determine the fate of the currently vacant WWE Championship.

I'm glad they are continuing to progress storyline's on SD but that is very underwhelming.

I'm starting to have flashbacks to the fall of '98.

His shirt says it all:

The WWE could use Mia Yim. Like the Rock, she too is part black.

Based on the all the rumors, and his current mega push, Bryan is likely gonna be in the main event with [BLACKOUT]Cena[/BLACKOUT] and [BLACKOUT]Punk[/BLACKOUT] as rumored.

My prediction for Triple H's opponent at 'Mania remains Shawn Michaels.

I'd be down for a Cena/Punk/Bryan WM main event. The way I'd go about it is have Punk and Cena be the final two in the rumble. They should have an extended face off, much like Shawn and Taker in 2007. Punk wins. The next night Cena promises to make WM30 the biggest ever. He goes on to win the World title at EC and Bryan retains the WWE title. Next night Cena challenges Bryan to a unification at Mania, Punk comes out saying he'd love to beat both men to become the first unified champion since Lesnar. Match is all set. Could even have a great tag line.

3 Men.2 titles.1 champion.

That sounds cool honestly, but no matter what I think Punk/Bryan/Cena should be the main event of wrestlemania XXX. The biggest star with the two best in the 30th mania. Makes even more since than XX's triple threat to me.

Well, with the Shield on the side of the Corporation 2.0, can you imagine if Stephanie brought in a Diva to be the 'Corporate' Divas champion? If so, who would you think it will be?

I'm not fully against Cena vs Bryan vs Punk but I prefer one on one WWE title matches, especially for Mania. the only other triple threat to close out Mania was a great match but HBK was only added because Vince wasn't convinced that Benoit vs Triple could draw. The only other multi man main event was the crappy Fatal 4-Way at Mania 2000. To me they have 3 guys in Cena, Punk and Bryan that can draw one vs one so no need for a 3rd guy.

Right now If I booked Mania XXX it would look like this:

WWE Title Match - The Best vs The Beast II
Brock Lesnar (c) vs CM Punk

The Streak Match
The Undertaker vs John Cena

Street Fight for Control of the WWE
Triple H w/Steph vs Daniel Bryan w/Vince

World Heavyweight Championship - Triple Threat
Dolph Ziggler (c) vs Ryback vs Del Rio

Randy Orton vs Cody Rhodes

United States and Intercontinental title Double Ladder Match
Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins vs Sami Zayn vs Antonio Cesaro

WWE Divas Title Match
AJ Lee (c) vs Mickie James

20 Man Battle Royale for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship
Big Show, Axel, Reigns, Wyatt's, R Truth, Swagger, Kofi, Usos, PTP, RVD, Kane, Tonnes of Funk, Miz, Fandango and Damien Sandow

How do you guys feel about Jarrett allegedly playing a bigger part backstage and on the road against instead just on spinoffs and international deals?

Personally I think that Jarrett can possibly regulate Dixie's stupidity as long as he doesnt become an onscreen character or hire Russo again. I can't believe that things have gotten so bad that I actually started to miss Jarrett of all people..yikes.

No way!!!!!!!!!!! The WWE Universe is waay too behind AJ, even as a heel. IMO, its gotta be someone who has nothing to gain nor lose. Call me crazy, but if there is a corporate Divas champion in the making, IMO, it could be:

Kaitlyn_wwe_diva.jpg

............but (as Jim Cornette would say) that's my opinion, I could be wrong.

I think it's a good idea. They need a new mind back there, see what he can bring again after several years of not. And I hate to say it, back in the ring.

Summer Rae as corporate Divas champ. AJ as corporate champ doesn't make sense because she's not a Sable, Trish, Michelle, or Kelly type. AJ doesn't fit WWE's prototype for top diva. Tan blonde model; that's always been the perception of WWE and it makes sense to play into it like with Orton.

She's a great fit for the role but I'm not sure there is time to split her from the comedy act, establish her as a wrestler and then get the title on her before Mania. Sadly the most likely option is Brie Bella, not simply because she fits their mold and Steph's love of garbage like the Kardashian's, but because WWE can use it as part of the main angle with Bryan.

I mean I can just see Steph and Triple H cutting a promo where they talk about an A like Brie dating beneath herself, and imagine the heat of Orton standing over a fallen Bryan, making out with Brie?
