I agree, he is a unique talent and I don't think WWE would squander that. This is pretty much the last chance saloon for him, if he re-signs for TNA then he'll never work a Mania or get to showcase his talent on the world stage that is WWE, which would be a shame.

One stumbling block though is what name will he use? I mean WWE already have an AJ.

If I was running the WWE, I would definitely keep the "Styles" surname, as they can use it by itself to hype his debut in teaser video packages. Styles: Coming March 2014 that kind of thing. The first name they give him, they can work something out that sounds cool without using AJ.

However, the WWE being what it is, they likely don't want to acknowledge he had a career in another company that they consider (not entirely incorrectly) not even in the same dimension as the WWE. So we might be back into Scobey Trumpet, Lance Uppercut or Arthur Yacht territory again. :(

They could just call him Style.

There's nothing like an event being held at MSG for atmosphere. What do you mean by "While it's still there?" :(
Last I heard on the news, MSG applied for a permanent standing where they are right now, but was only given a 10 year land lease. So in 10 years, the city could easily say **** YOU GET OUT if they really want to. Or at least force them to move (where, who the **** knows).

I don't think he'll do it, but seeing AJ Styles win the big gold belt would be a mark out moment for me.

Jason Styles would be a good, basic, highly marketable choice.
I'm leaning towards James Styles for him, if he were to come to the WWE.

Finally saw Cesaro/Zayn 2/3 Falls. Ho. Lee. ****. That was a damn good match. Zayn is better than Generico because he has a character we can better relate to (than an redheaded Irish Mexican in a mask) and Cesaro is the beastliest of beastly mother****ers.

I also liked how the second fall ended. It made a lot of sense to me. It just worked from top to bottom.

Might be the last one to see this, but if not, get it while you can.

The August 19th WWE RAW did a 3.24 cable rating with 4.30 million viewers with the fallout from SummerSlam.

In the segment breakdown, the first segment with John Cena, Daniel Bryan and Stephanie McMahon opened with a strong 3.4 rating. Damien Sandow vs. Cody Rhodes lost around 530,000 viewers.

Paul Heyman’s interview stayed even. Cameron and Naomi vs. AJ Lee and Layla lost around 135,000 viewers. Dolph Ziggler vs. The Shield gained around 500,000 viewers in the 9pm timeslot for a good 3.3 quarter rating.

Sin Cara vs. Alberto Del Rio stayed even, which is really good for that timeslot. Darren Young and Titus O’Neil vs. Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger gained around 250,000 viewers for a 3.5 rating. Considering who was in the match and the fact that it’s not at the normal top of the hour growth period, this shows that the Young story led to an increase in viewers. Big Show vs. The Shield lost around 265,000 viewers.

CM Punk’s promo with Paul Heyman and the brawl with Curtis Axel gained around 400,000 viewers for a strong 3.6 quarter rating.

R-Truth vs. Bray Wyatt lost 550,000 viewers. The Usos vs. Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal lost another 265,000 viewers. Wade Barrett vs. The Miz gained around 135,000 viewers. The big main event angle with Triple H, the McMahons, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan and The Shield gained around 670,000 viewers for a 3.6 overrun rating.

- Ryback is in line for a major push coming out of his current bullying gimmick. Those who work in WWE merchandising have been told to go heavy on coming up with ideas for him. Usually when they get that word it means not just a big push but a babyface turn.

- As seen on RAW, John Cena mentioned that he was advised to skip SummerSlam and cancel the Daniel Bryan match because of his elbow injury. Cena was telling the truth there. He insisted on doing the match and putting Bryan over before taking time off to have surgery. Cena’s rehab will be part of the storylines on several new episodes of WWE Total Divas.

- WWE apparently changed the planned finish to the CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar SummerSlam match in the middle of last week. This could be because The Undertaker has agreed to work Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX and if that’s going to be one of the main events, Lesnar had no business losing at SummerSlam and going into WrestleMania with a 2-3 record.

The tricky thing might be that I don't think he will be as unknown to WWE fans as WWE might like to think, and if they give him another name the fans will chant AJ Styles just to show how "Smart" they are.

MSG should be protected as a piece of National history IMO.

Dat beastly strength.:atp:

His power is incredible, even he looked a little wobbly legged after that last feat.

Pretty good news for WWE as relates to Bryan, Punk and Ziggler, their top 3 faces now Cena is on the shelf.

Using Total Divas to keep Cena visible is a decent idea.

Hopefully the change was because they have decided to go with a rematch and not just because they want to feed Brock to a 50 year old guy who works one match a year.

Thank you for posting that. As for that match :applaud

I hope Kassius Ohno reverts to a heel on NXT and feuds with Sami Zayn after or even during his implied feud with Bo Dallas in the coming tapings.

Sami Zayn vs Kassius Ohno on NXT would be just as much of a treat as his epic matches with Cesaro imo.

On the episode of NXT that had the Cesaro/Zayn match I was also impressed with Alexander Rusev who wrestled Dolph. I think there is some potential there.

I had a dream last night that some of the NXT roster were in WWE 2K14.

This is the best developmental has looked since OVW a decade ago. First time I've actively gone out of my way to watch these wrestlers work the kinks out before hitting the big time.

Some of the nxt guys Kruger, Dallas, Graves etc. should start being featured on Main Event IMO

They should have the NXT title defended at NOC to promote the show and get more fans interested in these guys before they even come up to the main roster.

I still think that if AJ Styles were to sign with the WWE (and I don't see that happening), that his name would be Allan Jones.

They'll call him "American Dragon" Allan Jones-Danielson just to piss of Daniel Bryan.

That would be great. A 4 way title match to showcase some of the best NXT has.
