If the WWE hadn't changed their plans, last night would've been the final defense of the Divas Championship, which would then have been deactivated tonight, with the champion being recognized as the FIRST-EVER WWE Women's Champion... in spite of Michael Cole acting like an idiot and pretending that the two titles aren't separate even though they are.

I actually think the cause for the change was the Today Show interview. It wouldn't look good to be on national TV with the Divas' title, and it would steal the thunder if they had her appear with the new belt without unveiling it on the show. So as much as it doesn't make sense, I think the show was the cause for why they changed it.

Well the singles titles (IC and US) should be defended more often on TV, it's the 1 day reigns and the automatic title changes on the post Mania Raw's that need to stop.
