Will the WWE have the balls to make Punk heel? He's involved with a lot of marketing.. I mean, WWE 13 looks like CM Punk the game.

More like half the game,Other half is Attitude Era(FACT)!!

Well yeah, but the marketing is all CM Punk and riots and whatnot.

Well Punk can still play the revolutionary character. Even as a heel. Maybe he'll be leading the new NWO.

I'm sure Nash would love a Punk led NWO. :D I can't see Punk going for a retread though, I mean who would pad the group out?

I'm not sure I like Punk going back to heel......

I liked him better as the straight-talking, pipe bomb anti-hero........

Me too.

I don't see Punk turning full heel mode straight away,I think it will be a slow transition (remember his slow turn with Hardy) I'm willing to bet that next week he will apologise to John Cena and offer him a rematch at summerslam.

In the end though it will end up the same, and it would be fine if WWE had a new over face that Punk could make.....they don't.

Orton is going to be back on Monday and get a major push.

:sleepy:

yeah......but does WWE usually put heels on the covers of its games?

Punk's promo in the game's trailer about a revolution while it shows stuff about wars&riots and his quote "Do I Have Everybody's Attention"fits perfectly for a new heel character for Punk!

Brock Lesnar was a major focus in marketing during the Ruthless Aggression era and he was a heel,They named the"Here Comes The Pain"videogame after him and he was in the center on the box cover and when the game was released he was a major heel

First things first, I think Show should totally be punk's lackey. Maybe not to where luke gallows was but, if show was added to punk's "Team", i could see great things/angles coming from that. Just make it last.

yeah......but does WWE usually put heels on the covers of its games?

Smackdown vs Raw2011's boxcover had BigShow&Miz on it and they were heels when the game was released

WWE'12 has Randy Orton and he was a tweener when the game was released,Old WWE games had heels on the covers all the time

ah, I see.

I still don't like Punk as heel, though. especially if they make him chicken **** heel.

I dunno.. but if I were Punk I'd jump at the chance to lead a new, legit threat, nWo.

ah, I see.

I still don't like Punk as heel, though. especially if they make him chicken **** heel.

That still remains to be seen... People assume he'll be your standard chicken heel because that's what the WWE excels at doing. However, Punk does have some say.. I doubt he allows them to make him "just another heel."

Hell, I can see him getting MORE cheers for what he did to Rock and what he let happen to Cena.

I'm sure Nash would love a Punk led NWO. :D I can't see Punk going for a retread though, I mean who would pad the group out?

Definitely not Scott Hall. I think you could involve Heyman , Brock , and possibly The Big Show.

It's even worse than a retread. NWO is dead in the water. I'm not even sure the angle would work in today's environment. They have to start by getting rid of AJ as GM/

New nWo

Hayman
Lesnar
Show (maybe.. but I somehow doubt this)
Punk
Bryan
Ambrose (???)

I'd buy that for a dollar.

Who knows, Nash could be trollolololing.

It could have happened with New Nexus and Punk ended up on a losing streak..For months,I love Punk better as a heel though and IF he actually doesn't up being a chicken ***** then I'll mark!!

I want a new big stable But no sure about using the nWo cause it'd be a whole new stable with just an old classic wrestling stable name,I'd like..

Heyman
Punk
D-Bry
Ambrose

Punk
Ambrose
Dbry
Lesnar

Managed by... Ric Flair. The Return of the 4 Horseman! WOO!

Seriously though.. I'd mark so hard.

So has the WWE forced the Rock, Shawn Michaels, Lita and Trish to go on Tout yet?

I hated that Punk turned heel, but if it means him getting matches against The Rock and Stone Cold, it was worth the sacrifice.

Re: Kevin Nash

As usual, he's all talk and full of sh**. WWE did the same exact thing teasing the return of the nWo when he came back last year and what happened there? Nothing.

Punk
Ambrose
Dbry
Lesnar

Managed by... Ric Flair. The Return of the 4 Horseman! WOO!

Seriously though.. I'd mark so hard.

A new 4-Horseman would be awesome&mush fresher than yet another nWo formation,Plus people like Punk&D-Bry fit perfectly for a new 4-Horseman,Even without Flair they could use Arn Anderson!!!

On the whole CM Punk possible heel turn, I don't know if it will be as full of a heel turn as some think. My main thing in thinking that he won't be a full heel is that he was clearly conflicted in the whole thing with Show attacking Cena, and only jumped Rock. I think where they're going with this is, if you remember when Rock came back and immediately headlined Wrestlemaina with Cena, Punk was one of the only active WWE wrestlers to openly speak out about his displeasure at someone like Rock just waltzing back into the company after so many years away and automatically gets the top bill at the biggest show of the year. Everyone knows WWE loves to pull storylines from real life, and this is something that I could see Punk EASILY being able to pull more material together for a new round of pipebombs, especially with Rock just coming in and saying he's going to get a shot at Punk's title. And depending on how WWE wants him to talk about it, he could EASILY do it in a way that could sway some fans or could tow the line in between heel and face, maybe in a similar way that there was no clear bad guy in the Rock/Cena rivalry. That's just how I see it, and how they address it later will show what direction they want to go with a full heel Punk or semi-heel Punk.

Not bothered by it,Only thing I liked about her was her ass and mostly just during her entrance!!

I love the idea of a new Horsemen group or an nWo group but I believe its time for a New Corporation or a New Dangerous Alliance. What would be very interesting is seeing the anti-establishment persona that is CM Punk sellout (not being a cowardly champion mind you) and be the crown jewel in the New Corporation under the guidance of his old nemesis Johnny Ace who wiggled himself back in a leadership role by undermining AJ or a Heyman wanting to seize control of the WWE to prove he is not a failure. Already having Big Show by his side as an enforcer and pulling in Daniel Bryant and maybe Ambrose as potential tag team champs, Ace has set the New Corporation up to dominate the WWE landscape. Adding Ziggler or the Miz would be a good move as well (I prefer Ziggler) making Ziggler the heir apparent to the championship and also the out clause to either make Punk go face again or a possible move to make Ziggler face if WWE wanted to. Also to be a dominate stable a’la the Horsemen, I believe that said stable should have all the titles (WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Title, Intercontinental Title, & Tag Titles-US Title should be done away with and there are truly no credible Divas worth being in a stable outside of Beth and there are truly no Divas who can challenge her at this moment). Also the stable can’t just run shop on RAW, WWE needs to let them dominate both RAW and Smackdown. And no one man can destroy a great heal stable, a great heal stable is destroyed from within, so no Cena taking out the members on his own. If anything, we should as viewers be questioning Cena’s loyalty to the WWE universe.

She sucked in the ring, but she had a fun and unique quality about her. Plus she is hot as hell, so not seeing her bounce on my tv every week is always a negative.

Nash is either once again jokingly blowing smoke to get attention with something he knows is bs or he's looking to stay relevant and get another nice spot by dropping the hint.

The NWO needs Punk more right now than he needs them. Whats in it for Punk? Nothing. Nash was obviously inspired by the DX reunion but WWE has kept DX in the fans minds looking strong. The NWO sputtered out as a joke over a decade ago. Sure there have been other revival attempts but those were failures that ended in whimpers

The Cashbox: CM Punk's New, Impossible Challenge

by Chris Cash

July 25, 2012

CM Punk's heel turn has me concerned. His talent will find a way to make it work, I'm sure, but it won't be easy. I don't see how it can be.

When Punk sat down at the top of the entrance ramp just over a year ago, he was a heel by WWE standards. He even blamed the fans that began cheering him that night in an attempt to reverse their vocal reaction to the "truth" he was spilling.

It clearly didn't work.

The decision was made rather quickly to feed off of the mass fan appeal, mainstream media attention, and pure hype and buzz Punk created with that one promo. He turned face and started his ascension to the top of the WWE roster.

After a few months of "shooting" and dropping pipe bombs, it was very evident Vince wasn't going to continue allowing Punk to run with that schtick. For unknown reasons (although I have a theory), Punk settled into his face run with a more tame and typical approach.

Personally, I believe he lost a ton of momentum as a result.

The lengthy title run is a nice alternative, but it was also the cheap way out. A consolation prize. The direction Punk was headed in after breaking down "the fourth wall" was much more significant than any piece of gold and leather around his waist.

Why Vince didn't want that to continue is beyond me! (And I say that with only the slightest bit of sarcasm if "slight" means an exuberant amount of something.)

Quick note: I'm not screaming conspiracy here, but there's more to the story. It seems a little strange that the reins on Punk seemed to be pulled back as soon as he started selling more merchandise than a certain someone. Just saying...

Monday night, the 1,000th episode of Raw ended with a clear statement: CM Punk is now heel, again. The question now being, just what kind of heel will he be?

If you're wanting/expecting Punk to return to his position as the "voice of the voiceless", I don't see that happening. Not if Vince wants him to remain a bad guy for long anyway. How he explains his actions from this past Monday are critical in determining what his success might be as a heel.

He can't ***** about John Cena and the Rock taking the spotlight again. There's too much truth in that. Fans will cheer.

He can't talk about being the WWE Champion, yet he's not even main eventing most pay per views. There's too much truth in that. Fans will cheer.

He might want to limit the amount of times he describes himself as "the best in the world" going forward. There's too much truth in that. Fans will cheer.

The alternative? What else? He'll likely become a cookie-cutter version of a typical WWE heel. Cheap heat, cowardly tactics, likely lose a lot more, etc.

He certainly can't be cool anymore. And he better not dare speak truths. Ever.

Fans WANT to cheer Punk. Kids and women might change their minds after Monday and follow suit, but the internet wrestling community and the smart fans won't be so quick to fall in line. And I'm sure Vince is aware by now, they are a very vocal group when they want to be.

If you're a Punk fan looking for a positive spin, I could see this new (again) character buying him more time as champion. That might be a silver lining in all of this.

There's no doubt in my mind WWE "wants" Punk to become a mega-heel, but I'm not even sure that's possible.

He'll be working Cena, a guy the IWC already wants to hate, and the Rock, a guy that could quickly remind fans he's a "Hollywood sellout" when he starts working Punk regularly. Both men will have a hard time working face against Punk for the long-term.

Rock, at least, has a better shot at it than Cena.

CM Punk has a new challenge on his hands. How does he convince fans to react the way they're supposed to, without limiting or eliminating what makes him so popular in the first place? Again, I'm not sure it's possible, but I'm looking forward to watching him try.

And I won't be surprised, or disappointed, if he proves me wrong.
