This guy made a comparison in his article that I noticed as well but I don't think I mentioned it.

This whole set up reminds me of when Shawn Michaels "turned" on Hulk Hogan, with Punk playing the role of HBK. Punk, like Michaels, is frustrated over someone else being pushed in front of him. HBK made the (albeit brief) feud really memorable, and I expect nothing less from Punk.
BTW...

Hunter and Metallo, I have not forgotten about our off topic best comic book character performances discussion. I have been under the weather this week so I haven't taken the time to write any detailed list yet.

Expect a PM in the next day or two

It was your top 3 CBM's you were going to tell me my friend. :)

Plans can obviously change but seriously Nobody wants to see Cena vs. Rock again. CENA doesn't need to be fighting for the Belt hell put him against a New Opponent like oh IDK maybe the UT? True he would probablly lose again but who cares. IF anybody deserves a Rematch against the Rock at WM it would be Punk if he loses the World Title at the RR.

Other reports are saying she wasn't responding well to how WWE wanted to CHANGE her character...which makes sense. Her character didn't NEED changing. She was more over than any other women at the time she made her debut. As far as beig hard to work with lets keep in context that this is McMahonland. She's got an attitude problem or she used to but in this instance I'd wait for more stories/rumors/whatever.

As far as her weight it doesn't makes sense. If she was losing weight that means she was getting in better shape so whats the issue? Do they mean RING shape or physique? Those are two different things IF she was in RING shape her looks should have been the last thing that was at issue.

This is WWE and Vince McMahon we are talking about here so "shape" could mean any number of things. He may have wanted her to get more muscular...which would be stupid. If he wanted her to improve her conditioning and in ring cardio I can understant that.

I'm definitely not arguing that she wasn't fighting the silliness that comes in Vince's world. She could have been.

But here's the deal, she is an unproven commodity in WWE and not really in a position to be turning down ideas, no matter how dumb they COULD have been. It was dumb move on her part if she wanted to keep a job and she very well could have killed her future chances of ever working in WWE again.

The fact is, WWE was promoting her big time and putting a lot of time into pushing her. Then she gets pregnant right after her debut and it basically killed all the time and effort WWE put into her. That alone was probably enough to piss off management, and rightfully so. Then to come back and start to fight management when you have no tenure in the company does not jive well for your chances.

This recent news on her departure substantiates past stories of her being difficult to work with. TNA had no problem letting her go a couple of years ago for a reason.

She's a phenomenal talent and I am a fan of her work and character, but if she wants to have any success on a national level, she needs to re-evaluate how she does business and carries herself.

God forbid Punk takes on Rock...as a face. :whatever: Can't have him really making the Rock look bad. This ain't like Cena where the other guy is a star whose act is wearing thin and splitting the crowd. Punk could keep a large portion of that crowd on his and tear the Rock to pieces. And I don't mean with catchphrases but with actual points.

Punks probably going to be little more than a means to an end. If he was booked as a strong heel it would be different but the only guys with any REAL credibility as top foes (Cena, HHH, Rock, Taker) won't be losing to Punk much if at all. Cena MIGHT. Lesar MIGHT. The others? Forget it.

Well I doubt we'll even get to see Punk vs Brock, essentially this is just the way WWE is now, imagine if Rock got depushed or screwed with when he got really over because it might affect Austin? but in the one horse town that the wrestling business is now, Vince is detimined to keep his cookie cutter moulds and one note golden boy in the top spot, any threat to that gets watered down and now turned heel, instead of using their opposite qualities to have two top faces.

As redundant as Sheamus and Orton are as faces Vince will leave them in that role as neither has the mic skills or ability to work a crowd to be anything but #2.

I'd wager it's Punk/Brock vs Cena/Rock at Survivor Series and then Rock wins the title at the Rumble and Cena wins the Rumble setting up their snorefest rematch, and then Brock will face Taker in the other top match.

I don't know what is more predictable: WWE Storylines or Matthew McConaughey shirtless every movie he is in.

I think it's a push.

Why would they want to change Kharma's character? Her character was awesome.

So it'll definitely be The Rock/CM Punk for the title at Royal Rumble. What will happen with the Cena/Punk feud then? Punk will keep beating Cena?

I really hope WWE doesn't ruin Kharma, but I fear for the worst, and I really don't want Rock vs Cena II.They could atleast do it at another PPV.The same main event for 2 Wrestlemanias in a row(might as well have been 3) is overkill.I'm losing interest in this company.

IDK Maybe Cena will keep on fighting Big Show won't that be fun to watch?

Plans can still change and it could end up being a Rock/Punk rematch..But yeah the mostly likely case is Rock vs Cena II with Cena getting the win&title!

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

The 1,000th episode of WWE RAW did a 3.86 rating over three hours and averaged 6.04 million viewers . This was the most viewers ever for a three-hour show. The previous timeslot of 9-11pm EST that fans became use to for more than a decade, averaged a 4.03 rating and 6.31 million viewers.

WWE's advertising the 8pm start time was a success as they had 5.58 million viewers already tuned in for the start of the show.

DX's reunion opened so strong that the second quarter gain with the end of the DX segment gained 27,000 viewers. That would usually be a loss.

The six-man with Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara and Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler and Chris Jericho which also featured the Charlie Sheen interview lost 395,000 viewers.

Jack Swagger vs. Brodus Clay and a backstage skits with Legends gained 326,000 viewers.

AJ and Daniel Bryan wedding at 9pm gained 616,000 viewers for a 3.91 rating.

The Rock, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan in the ring gained 575,000 viewers for a 4.28 quarter rating.

Christian vs. The Miz lost 895,000 viewers after three straight segments of monster gains in viewers.

Triple H, Paul Heyman and Stephanie McMahon in the ring gained 334,000 viewers.

Brock Lesnar's brawl with Triple H gained 90,000 more viewers.

Heath Slater with the WWE Legends gained 25,000 viewers for a 3.99 quarter rating in a timeslot of the show that typicall loses a lot. This was impressive given the amount of viewers gained with the Triple H segment, normally a loss would have been a given.

The Undertaker's return with Kane gained 293,000 viewers.

WWE Champion CM Punk vs John Cena with The Rock and Big Show appearing gained 389,000 viewers and peaked the show with a 4.43 overrun rating.

That's right. Metallo was characters and you were movies. PM coming soon

Ziggler Requesting Crazy Bumps

Dolph Ziggler has reportedly been coming up with ideas for new exciting bumps to take and been pitching them to WWE officials according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

According to the report, Ziggler is pushing until the officials give the okay. The bump where Tensai tossed him over the commentators table at Money in the Bank was a spot Ziggler envisioned.

The Undertaker's Return

The Undertaker isn't expected to return to the weekly storylines until November's Survivor Series according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Ziggler loves doing crazy bumps&sells even more than I thought lol,So Taker will have made 2 appearances/matches by WM!?..Well 2 is better than none all year!!

Good For Dolph willing to take risks however I hope none of these Bumps get him hurt now that he has The MITB Briefcase

I read that WWE is making an Attitude Era dvd to be released between November or December,That's very cool and I sure hope it includes a documentary besides just matches,Will suck a bit though cause of the logo being blurred for matches But now they can use the logos at least for quick clips&stuff!!!

It'll tie-in very nicely with the WWE'13 video game..Since half the game is Attitude Era and it comes out October 30th!

I don't think we'll ever see a divas feud like Trish and Lita ever again.

I'm waiting for the diva's division to collapse. In all fairness Lita and Trish were two of the best and it's hard to compare. I haven't been excited about the diva matches since Kharma .. and she's gone :csad:

The NWO sputtered out as a joke over a decade ago. Sure there have been other revival attempts but those were failures that ended in whimpers

It was over long before they showed up in WWE but I consider WM18 the last moment worth mentioning. I like the idea to start a new group

RE: Once more in a lifetime Cena vs Rock 2.

I knew they couldn't resist. I liked seeing the dream match but don't really care this time. Hopefully something changes.

I'm looking forward to seeing Taker at the Survivor Series though.

Also ............Maryse :wow:

They are releasing a lot in the time frame. Brock , Punk , Attitude Era , and I think the Top 50 finishers.

Did anyone buy the new Undertaker dvd? I'm wondering if the documentary is worth it.

Add me to the list of people not intrested in seeing Cena vs Rock 2.

Ziggler loves his bumps lol :)

Maybe feud with some faces besides Cena. I'm personally hoping for some programs with Christian. I think dropping the I-C to Miz is smart because then that means he can(hopefully) go after any of the world titles. I can't wait to be there live on January 27 to see The Rock wrestle for the WWE title. :yay:

She's a phenomenal talent and I am a fan of her work and character, but if she wants to have any success on a national level, she needs to re-evaluate how she does business and carries herself.

She should try to be better to work with but she knows how to play her character. I don't think it NEEDS tweeks to work on the naqtional level. She was HUGELY over for a woman. Vince had that same kind of thinking on ECW and even HIS fans rejected it and ECW is done. ECW was never going to be THE attraction but it had a place in WWE the same way Kharma could have had a place.

She's a destroyer and wrestling fans always love a good destroyer. It didn't need to be altered. keep it simple. Judging by the pitiful state of the WWE's womens division they are really in no position to say what might work best in it creatively right now. but just like ECW Vince has always been wary of properly using outside creations. He probably wanted to make her HIS vision but she's showed she's better than any vision for a monster that he's come up with in years.

I want to hear more from more unbiased sources in WWE. For all we know she could have been difficult to work with (IF she was) because WWE was gutting her character.

Long before she left WWE was botching the division. They botched Laylas return and the Bellas putting her over and didn't get much of anything out of their departures. They didn't even plan for Kharmas return. They were going to book it last minute on the fly. They forgot about what they set up with the Bellas and Beth, Nattie, Tamina, and any other divas that could have been used against her are an afterthought.

Thats more or less the way I see it. How do they expect The Punk angle to be big when they are more concerned about Rock and Cena? They expect big things but are unwilling to invest what needs to be invested in them. And they wonder why things don't work out sometimes.
