HOLY CRAP Cena was right:lmao:

"You're in Portland, milk the fruity pebbles thing, lots of twitter jokes, call him a *****, and always remember that YOU ARE THE GREAT ONE!''

If the Rock was at one of those Oscar Parties to late at night and caught a morning flight, I could understand him having crib notes on his hand.

LOL,Rock looked legit pissed.I have to admit though I am still impressed that Rock had the crowd in his back pocket.Don't see a reaction like that very often.

I think he was five seconds away from getting the crowd to chant ''titty sprinkes'' just to see if they would.

Guess no one gave the Rock the memo about this being the Reality era.

It's smart on Cena's part. He's been accused of being a Rock-lite at times with his comedy shtick, so he'd doing what he's better at, cutting serious promos. The real question is, can Rock do it? Because for me, cracking jokes just isn't going to do it.

I think Rock could do it. Certainly in a controlled environment. But Cenas much quicker on his feet with a serious spontaneous comeback than Rock is. You rarely see Rock without his usual bag of one liners.

You're right though. Cena can't out gab the Rock with juvenile jokes and insults in the same style. What Cena did tonight is what he's good at. That kind of cocky in your face realness. That made him stand out.

Cena wasn't mind blowingly great tonight but he sounded more cutting edge than Rock who came off as 90 percent stale.

I'm a HBK mark but I'm gonna throw this out there, I think he is underrated on the mic because of how great he is in the ring, tonight we saw Jericho and Rock repeat themselves and stumble over lines when they got heated, the other week Taker was struggling and got "What?" chants, all 3 have the fact they are not there consistently as a reason.

When HBK came out to do his promo a few weeks back, after a year with no promo work, he never missed a beat, he was as raw and real as ever and when he was jabbed he took it in his stride and played off it, still the man IMO.

i think it says alot when rock's most groundbreaking real promo since he returned was a pre taped one on the beach he posted on twitter

aka not live in front of an audience

I personally think the whole notes thing was a work, but that's just me.

To what benefit? making The Rock look weak is not in WWE's interest or WrestleMania's interest, and if Rock's reaction was not real then he needs to ask his agent to get him in a movie with Meryl as clearly he's wasted in b movie action joints.

bet rock thought he could mask it as a tattoo since he is full of tats

i am pretty sure i heard punk had notes on his wrist tape when he did his famous shoot promo

but punk was sitting the whole promo so he could atleast hide it

rock uses his hands alot when he talks which is a reason why he saw his foot notes so much lol

Agreed,He'll likely do the same or even better next week!!

So let me get this straight:

1. A match that didn't involve either Undertaker/HHH/Cena/Rock actually stole the night in terms of promo execution.

2. The Tag Team Championship was actually given a decent match with credible wrestlers going after the gold.

3. Cena came off better than The Rock in the promo twice in two weeks.

OMG; has hell frozen OVER????lol

And it makes me wonder though; with this new storyline about there being ONE GM to run both shows, provided that it goes down that route along with smackdown superstars and raw superstars making frequent trips to other shows...does that mean that the Brand Extension is coming to an end? If that's the case, I wonder if we'll actually end up getting ONE World champion as well.

Michaels is better than Rock at serious non one liner promos but Triple H was even better than Michaels the other week. Maybe it was rust. Understandable since HBK hasn't been around much to cut promos but it was still better than Rock tonight.

Jericho is usually better than this. He CAN cut a serious or heated promo but I was disappointed tonight. He had no strong responses to Punk while Punk perfectly weaved work and shoot comments together in an amusing way that fit the story. Punk is the best promo guy working today...especially when the field is level and people can say whatever they want.

There is something to be said about being there regularly for a long time to get into the grove of mic work.

I didn't think Triple H was better but he was certainly as good and carried Taker the next week.

Truth is Triple H can hang with anyone if you want to ditch the script and get real, as can Cena, their respective contract signing promos with Punk last year were pure gold.

To make Cena look like more of a threat, because honestly Cena needs to be looked at as a bigger threat to the Rock. It's been looking one sided for awhile now,and a one sided battle is no fun.

Personally I don't think it made the Rock look week.To me it evened out the playing field. The fans didn't seem to care as The Rock still had them in the palm of his hand, but it did help put Cena over.

I do believe that The Rock was legit pissed.I think that Cena took the opportunity and ran with it.I'm not trying to take anything Cena.He did a good promo two weeks in a row.Which is impressive.

Punks promo was long, involved, AND substantial. Rocks promo tonight wasn't nearly as long (more rambling and repetition though) and there were very few things of substance said by him tonight.

I could forgive the notes if it was a lot of ground to cover but I don't see why Rock of all people would need crib notes for b*tch and twitter trending jokes. Maybe it was for order...but its not like he couldn't remember which order to go in. Evne with the notes he went back and forth between twitter and Cena.

Seems like he was more interested in building his twitter following than his Wrestlemania match tonight.

There are better cooler ways to even the playing field than having a guy scribble crib notes on his arm. I don't buy it. If that WAS Rock or WWE's idea then thats ridiculous. Most of Rocks fans won't care anyway. If they wanted to make him look more detached from the business there are many more realistic things they could have done.

I'm intrigued by what he is going to say given they are playing up the angle that he is pissed with the whole idea that Triple H is better than him.

also i must say it is a breath of fresh air to see punk going back and forth with an equal

miz
ADR
Ziggler

were just not on his level in terms of mic and relevancy

jericho is a top star so they look like they are on the same level

something punk has been missing since cena and hhh feuds

Did anyone else see UFC star Chael Sonnen in the crowd tonight?

He was captured on screen sitting in the audience and he even tweeted on the Cm Punk segment

Just finished RAW, my two cents...

1. AJ is soooooooo fine!

2. Bryan is really doing great work I'm happy that the crowd is responding to him the way they are, he's deserved this. I'm actually rooting for him to beat Sheamus, I think a heel has to win and I would want it to be him.

3. Love the Bryan/Punk feuds I would love to see them continue post WM. I think Ace will end up running both shows and Bryan will be his champion.

4. I was worried about Punk/Jericho but I think that after tonight they've whetted everyone's appetite for this match. Punk said it best, they don't need any pyros or special entrances, all they need is the ring. I'm rooting for them to have the match of the night and I think if given the time they will.

My proposed WM card...
Cena vs. Rock
Punk vs. Jericho
HHH vs. Taker
Bryan vs. Sheamus
MITB Match
Show vs. Cody
Kane vs. Ryder (I've been saying this for a while, I think this could be the feud that pushes Ryder over the top. He's been a fun loving character but we need to see him kick some ass to take it to the next level)

I'm not sure how it has been a one sided battle so far, the fans in the audience of an older age are going to cheer Rock no matter what, but objectively Cena has won the promo battles thus far, he didn't need any help, it seemed to me more like he simply saw an opening and took a shot.

I sure hope this"One GM"storyline is a HUGE clue about the brand extension being officially over after WM,Business wise I understand why they split it before But Smackdown's ratings compared to Raw is very poor and The roster is thinning now with so many leaving or getting injured or being suspended!!

Plus WWE knows so many fans want it to happen and so it'd be a win-win,It could also be good for some of the wrestlers and the writers since everything would be fresh&new for storylines/feuds/characters&ppv build ups!!

Bryan vs Orton as SD's main event, you just know Randy will win and get added to the WHC match. :csad:

Good to see you back man, it's like Impact got good and you disappeared lol.

I didn't notice him which is a shame as he's the only MMA guy aside from Lesnar I would recognize. What did he tweet?

I would love to talk more, but I'm feeling sick as hell right now.lol
