WWE is going to lean on part timers even more with guys leaving.

Unfortunate accident.

Nolan, can you recommend anything from All Japan?

I can recommend a few off the top of my head:

Toshiaki Kawada vs Mitsuharu Misawa 6/3/94

Stan Hansen vs Kowada Toshiaki

Johnny Ace and Steve Williams vs Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi

Toshiaki Kawada vs Stan Hansen

Alberto Del Rio has reportedly been letting it be know that once his contract with WWE is up, he will be leaving the company.

According to PWInsider, Del Rio hasn't been happy with the direction of his character. He was once a main event player on the SmackDown brand as a World Champion, and now he is being fed to Batista.

While the match between the two hasn't been officially announced, Batista vs. Del Rio will likely be added to the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event.

Del Rio is 36-years-old and has several years of mileage on him. It’s believed that he’s been very good with his money and shouldn't be in any financial trouble once he departs from the organization.

Nothing personal but I can't say I'll miss him. Not that it's all his fault. He was shoved down our throats to the point of becoming obnoxious and seemed to handed title shot after shot till it became redundant. It's one thing for a character to want to be champion, but it got to a point where just wanting to be champion literally was his character.

You would think this would be the time when they look to the locker room and tell them to step up.

Thanks, though I was interested in more recent stuff. My fault for not specifying.

Do you have an opinion regarding Akebono as the triple crown champ? I watched one match with him. It didn't really make me want to seek out another.

looks like we are getting another solid main event for smackdown

Daniel Bryan kicks off SmackDown to a huge pop and "yes!" chants. He talks about what Triple H said on RAW about Bryan being the face of the company. Bryan says he doesn't want to be the face. He calls out Kane for attacking him on RAW. Kane apologizes and says it was unprofessional. Bryan tells Kane to take off the cheap suit, put the mask on and get rid of Corporate Kane. Kane says he's glad the Team Hell No days are over and the fans chant "you sold out" at him. Bryan tells Kane to come to the ring and settle it. Kane refuses and books Bryan vs. Antonio Cesaro for tonight.

Reading the Results I don't think its the Main Event I think Orton vs. Christian is.

To be honest, I have not caught up with AJPW in quite some time I couldn't really tell you what I thought on that or recommend any recent stuff. Sorry. :/

I like Del Rio, but he has said many times that he doesn't want to wrestle into his 50's etc. If he's held on to his money, good for him. I've enjoyed plenty of his matches. I don't blame him for being frustrated with the current situation. I bet when Ziggler is up he walks, too. That would mean Punk, Ziggler, and Del Rio gone. Cena is 36 and should be winding down his schedule as they look for the next true face of the company. We all know Roman Reigns is earmarked for that spot, but we'll see what happens. Being the face of the company is more than just in ring action and solid on the mic, you have to be good at the press junkets, on talk shows, charity events etc. You can't be the type to shoot your mouth off and get yourself in trouble. It's why Cena has been on top so long. Bryan is someone who can do all those things, and we know won't get himself in trouble. He needs to have his time at top before Reigns or someone else becomes the next true WWE #1 guy.

Either way, Ryan Ward has been doing a good job with keeping Smackdown entertaining even when Raw is sucking these past 3 or 4 weeks and that's why SD's ratings have been increasing gradually.

Definitely sounds like a must watch. Shame Rollins didn't get to perform in front of his hometown but atleast he got a nice chant.

Smackdown looks like a good show for pro wrestling with [BLACKOUT]Bryan vs Cesaro, Bray vs Goldust, Reigns & Ambrose vs Dolph & Kofi and Orton vs Christian[/BLACKOUT] and I like the amount of promo time the Wyatt's and Shield are getting.

Plus from his promo I wonder if WWE are thinking of doing [BLACKOUT]Titus vs Big E.[/BLACKOUT]

On the Divas front I see a pointless Bella's split on the horizon.

I really dig the way this Wyatt Family/Shield program has been built up so far. No defacto face here, just two heels cutting promos on each other, being heels, and just being all around awesome.

main event reveled for next Mondays Raw

AGAIN? WWE should make it a rule so that Wrestler X can't Wrestler Y after X amount of times.

Del Rio has been stagnant as a character for a while and this is what happens when you push a guy too soon. I like Del Rio in the ring, but he should have never been pushed to the moon when he first debuted.

He was fine with how he was handled (While defeating Edge at WrestleMania 27 would've been the right business move since it turned out to be Edge's last match anyway, it would've been too much, too soon for him at that point. until SummerSlam 2011 then it was all downhill from there.

Also, they tried to get him over as a heel, then as a face, and back as a heel, the guy just doesn't have charisma. I think he has it in him, but after all this time, he still hasn't found a way to connect with the crowd.

He wasn't allowed to carry the company and his character has been fu**ed over by creative many times. He has every right to be pissed and want to leave. Its WWE's own damn fault for setting the guy up to fail.

With Del Rio leaving and Rey heading towards the end of the tunnel, I wonder what Hispanic star they'll sign and push to the moon?

Seth Rollins :woot:. they'll probably try to repush Sin Hunico or Kalisto is the likeliest choice.

Also wanted to say this about SD
Not surprised Sheamus carried Ryback to a good match. He's excellent at big vs big and that's not a common skill. 'd have loved to see a Sheamus vs an in his prime Hogan

Hunico is never going to fit what WWE wants Sin Cara to be. He's a better technical wrestler than high flyer.

Kalisto can speak English and can have a variety of different matches as seen in his work in DGUSA/Evolve and PWG. He can work technical, high flying, and even comedy.

If they want to push a high flyer, Neville is the guy. If they want to push a Latin star, I'm not sure who. I guess Kalisto.

Eh...I disagree. I think it's one of the few times that this is more his fault than Creative's, although that does play a factor. Point is, he couldn't get over as a heel or a face because he's bland on the microphone. He's always getting time on the stick, but he can't deliver in that department.

If and when Zayn and Kalisto mix it up in the ring on NXT, I hope they tear the house down. They had a bunch of matches in Evolve and while very good, they were held back by dead crowds and time. They're definitely capable of something truly great.

Kalisto is who I think it will be. Hunico needs a new gimmick, because Sin Cara was supposed to be the next great lucha high flyer, and Hunico is not that.
