Stardust cut a promo on the app last night implying that he was going after the IC title. I hope that doesn't mean they're dropping the Rhodes brothers feud.

The only time I actually see promos from the app are when they're posted. Most of the ones here are really good and shouldn't be relegated to that when they have tons of TV time.

Also Punk is looking lean:

Although, him not being related to every other Samoan wrestler who has ever stepped foot in a WWE ring (Umaga, Rikishi, Afa, Sika, The Rock, Manu, Roman Reigns, Rosey, The Usos, Yokozuna) would make him stand out. He could be introduced to the WWE Universe as someone who while not a member of the legendary Anoai' Clan, whether it be through blood (Umaga, Rikishi, Rosey, Roman Reigns), honorary (Peter Maivia, the Rock's grandfather) or through marriage (Tamina Snuka, Naomi) he respects the legacy but he wants to blaze his own path.

And they could say that he came from "the other Samoa" like how he has been billed from.

I could see him entering into a feud with champion Roman Reigns after Wrestlemania. Just have him come in out of nowhere, no vignettes, no warning and decimate him(sort of like Bam Bam Bigelow when he came to WCW and stalked the arena looking for Goldberg).

I think what will happen to Reigns is that he'll be on the receiving end of a Brogue Kick.

I do think that a name change is likely to happen to Samoa Joe, but I don't expect a wholesale gimmick change. The WWE still allows Balor to come out to body paint for the NXT specials, just like when he was Prince Devitt. Itami and Owens still look like KENTA and Kevin Steen.

And yes, El Generico unmasked as Sami Zayn, but he still gets the ole chants, which were common when he was masked as El Generico.

Samoa Joe will get a new name, but he will still look like Samoa Joe.

Daniel Bryan still looks like the Brian Danielson that dominated in ROH a decade ago, except with more facial hair and a chant that throws Vince McMahon into a violent rage backstage. Cesaro still looks like Claudio Castagnoli. Seth Rollins is just a more arrogant version of Tyler Black.

Am I the only one hoping that Lesnar totally gives no ****s at 'Mania, and refuses to carry Reigns, purposely making him look bad?

So you WANT the show to be bad just so you can complain about how bad it is some more?

Much like the new Fantastic Four movie, where I'm not hoping the movie sucks just so Marvel gets the rights back years from now, I'm not going to hope the main event at Wrestlemania is bad just to stick it to WWE. If I'm spending my time (and money) to stay invested in the product, I'm going to hope that it's good.

Maybe I'm crazy.

There was a report last month that Cena was making a reality show without WWE's involvement or letting them know which didn't sit well with the office and put them in an awkward position since he's their top merch guy and if push came to shove, those close to Cena think he would take off for Hollywood opportunities.

I'd be fine if he just went to NXT and had a short run there, facing guys like Zayn, Steen, Hideo Itami, Balor, Neville, etc.

Hell, they could actually "build him up" as a wrecking machine and have him do a brief feud with Baron Corbin. I think working with a guy like him (instead of Bull Dempsey) could work wonders in progressing Corbin's in-ring ability.

I do remember seeing on YouTube a match he had in a WWE ring once, I think it was either for Velocity or Heat.

Kind of like the one I saw where Velvet Sky took on Victoria.

Yeah I'm with Donnie on this one. Wanting the show to be bad is stupid. It's kind of hypocritical to want something to fail because it's not your idea of what you want when that's the same thing Vince (rightfully) gets raked over the coals for. Regardless, I want a good show. Also it's flawed thinking to believe that a bad show would fundamentally change the whole philosophy of the company to something you find preferable.

WWE SmackDown spoilers for Thursday from Washington D.C.:


– The show kicks off with Dolph Ziggler cutting an in-ring promo. He talked about never getting his Intercontinental Title rematch and announced he will be part of the IC title ladder match at WrestleMania. Ziggler said something is missing from the match – Daniel Bryan. He tells Bryan to come out to the ring, but Bad News Barrett’s music hits.
BNB says the title and the ladder match are his. Ziggler can give the belt back to him, or he’ll take it back. Luke Harper snuck up on Ziggler and laid him out. Harper, Ziggler and Barrett brawled until Dean Ambrose joined the mix. R-Truth entered the ring and stole the IC title while the other 4 men fought.


– Backstage, R-Truth tried giving the IC title to Renee Young, but she told him to give it to Dean Ambrose.


– Tyson Kidd and Cesaro defeated Los Matadores.



– Ryback defeated Kane with a Meathook clothesline while Kane was distracted. Big Show was in Kane’s corner. After the match, Kane booked another match for Ryback.


– Big Show defeated Ryback when Kane interfered and set him up to get hit with the WMD.


– Bray Wyatt cuts a promo telling the Undertaker he’s waiting.


– A Sheamus vignette aired.


– The Bella Twins came out to the ring and talked about #GiveDivasAChance. Nikki said even though AJ Lee has been away and none of the other Divas are on her level, she’ll give AJ Lee a chance. AJ and Paige came out.


– AJ Lee defeated Brie Bella with the Black Widow. Nikki tried to interfere but Paige stopped her.


– Backstage, Daniel Bryan said the Intercontinental Title picture is heating up and the Ladder Match at WrestleMania could steal the show. He’ll looking forward to seeing who walks out as champion.


– New Day defeated The Miz and Damien Sandow. Sandow and Miz fought during the match, with Sandow getting in Miz’s face before walking out. New Day got the win with their finisher.


– Jack Swagger spoke to Renee about the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania and about his match with Rusev later in the evening. Swagger said he’s going to shut Rusev up.


– Backstage, Roman Reigns told Paul Heyman he agreed with something he said on RAW. He knows Lesnar will hurt him at WrestleMania, but he’s going to take everything Lesnar has and then take the WWE Championship with a Superman punch and a spear.



– Rusev defeated Jack Swagger with The Accolade. After the match, Curtis Axel cut an Axelmania promo on the big screen told Rusev he’s coming for the US Title.


– Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose defeated Luke Harper and Bad News Barrett. Ziggler took out Harper with a superkick and Zig Zag, but was knocked out by Barrett, who also took out Ambrose. BNB tried getting his title back from R-Truth at ringside, but Ambrose dove through the ropes and knocked him out. Truth tries leaving with the belt but runs into Luke Harper. Truth knocks Harper out and attempts escaping again, but Daniel Bryan comes out. Truth gave Bryan the belt, started a Yes! chant and bailed. Bryan celebrated with the belt, but was attacked by Stardust, who climbed ladder and posed with the belt to end the show.

I hope Mania bombs, Bryan in the IC title cluster****? while a guy who isn't even over, can barely cut a promo and has had 2 PPV matches gets the main event? It deserves to tank for such utter arrogance pissing all over the fanbase.

With any luck Brock shows up, phones it in and the crowd **** on it all so badly that the arena turns brown.
