Thanks guys! Always good to read the perspective of this board rather than just the wrestling sites.

I hope I can get caught back up on both products soon. That's disappointing to hear that the Kane/Cena stuff has been no good. I was really looking forward to seeing what they were going to do with Kane now that he's back in the mask.

I'm betting AJ Styles will be the first to Tebow.

there's enough worth getting caught up on for sure, it's just frustrating to see both companies dropping the ball on their respective champions.

Vince is'nt be an a hole

cm punk is easily one of the top 2 baby faces in the WWE and for him to come out with the #1 bad guy of the UFC would seem kind of weird

it is like if cena accompanied nick diaz to the octagon lol

This isn't 1985, plus Punk is outspoken and courts controversy, an ideal fit with Sonnen from what I've seen.

Maybe Kane Is trying to get Cena to turn on Ryder. Cena might start to see Ryder as a liability. I mean Cena saved Ryder twice and last week he said "I'll help you out where I can but you gotta hold it together." Ryder might be Kane's "lesson in hate".

Vote for Kane.

Kane/Cena was good the first two weeks, but then it turned into a trainwreck.

Absolutely. It's frustrating because Kane has decent promos and this could be an awesome character if they didn't keep dropping the ball.
I liked Kane teasing an attack on Eve though.

Impacts been a better while Raw has been a little bit worse. Smackdowns probably been the most consistent show in the last couple of weeks. The trio of Bryan Show and Henry have really been doing good work in the main event.

Tara and Tessmacher already beat him to it. :funny:

:wow::hrt: I'd kill to be that pair of panties.

Yeah I feel like they are burning through too much too fast with Roode after screwing up awarding him the title in the first place. He's doing great work and great matches but the finishes aren't satisfying and its all being crammed together.

With Punk he's had no legit in ring challenger, been booked as second fiddle to Cena-Kane nonsense, and he's battling an outdated idea of an authority figure who is poor in his position to boot and nobody cares about him.

Imagine if we had Patterson booking WWE champ CM Punk vs TNA champ Robert Roode. All would be right with the world...of wrestling :awesome:

Just shows me that, despite his claims, Vince does see MMM (specifically UFC) as competition. I don't see the big deal. Punk doing this might actually HELP WWE a little bit.

Ah, that main event last night was a thing of beauty. I think that was the best Daniel Bryan as looked when it comes to the total package, last night. His opening promo was much better than I ever expected. He seemed to come off pretty naturally when he trying to defend his actions from last week.

And then that match. He works great with Big Show, just some slick storytelling. I was on the edge of my seat during it even though I knew the outcome. AJ getting steamrolled was a nice touch. And Bryan was playing it up just right, waited to see how Show reacted before playing the concerned and angry boyfriend. It showed the he could be the right choice to be the main champion of the second brand.

Same here. I read the results and was still enthralled by everything. I'm hoping Bryan will hold onto the belt at least until Elimination Chamber.
If not longer.

They did a good job with the Stone Cold set , hopefully the documentary is really good on this one as well .

Smackdown was a mixed bag. Most of the show was filler. Cody Rhodes, the Intercontinental Champion, has been given about 15 minutes of total wrestling time in 4 matches over the last two weeks. How does the CT think that fans will ever invest themselves in loving/hating a wrestler if he barely gets to work?

On the flip side, I thought the main event was great. D-Bry got his first opportunity to work, albeit not quite long enough, against Show. The action was solid and I'm really liking the storyline.

I have to give props to Big Show. Not only did he sell for Bryan (something most true giants either won't or can't do), but his acting really helped the storyline. I rarely like big wrestlers, but I've come to appreciate how special Big Show is in the last few years.

And props to AJ to taking that NASTY bump. I hope she's OK.

Yeah, I can't imagine Andre being able to pull off that acting job. If he actually ran AJ over he might then try to to eat her.

What I found really cool is how subtly Bryan acted the whole thing. Right after the accident, you see him looking calmly over what's going on, almost rubbing his chin. The wheels are turning, and he's thinking of how to turn this situation to his advantage. Very nice.

One of the best parts, Bryan stepping back assessing the situation, and then playing it up like he's the hero and Show is a villain for letting a belt get in the way of his better senses. The fact they he was waiting for the right moment, to see that Show has abandoned his chase and AJ was not getting up to make him look good, was what sold it the most.

If I am the WWE I am a bit relieved that Smackdown and Raw are in primetime, because in August the parent company of both SyFy and USA Network, NBC will be broadcasting the 2012 Summer Olympics from London. Most of the primetime coverage is going to be on NBC anyways and USA And SyFy can always cover Olympic events in the daytime. Plus there's the new NBC Sports Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Bravo and Universal Sports.

Ratings could be affected, but not production.

I think DB's heel turn will be like Christian's.....however, I'd like to see Bryan keep his title until Wrestlemania 28. I say this because if the plan is for Randy Orton to come back and win the Rumble, a match between Orton and Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship could (if given enough time) be a fantastic match. We've already seen Orton face Henry and Wade Barrett a million times already. Bryan would give Orton a fresh face for Randy to battle with and not a rehashed feud.

I don't mind Orton winning if he comes back at the Rumble (which I think he will) if he faces Bryan at Wrestlemania 28.

However, this is the WWE we are talking about, and they've treated Bryan like garbage and will probably continue to do so when he fully turns heel (they will probably still allow Michael Cole to call him a dork and a nerd) so I don't trust the WWE in making a Orton vs. Bryan match at WM 28. They will either have Orton vs. Henry 100 or Orton vs. Barrett 50.
And like Christian, WWE will probably waste Bryan's talent on a cowardly heel persona where he'll perpetually be booked to look weak when facing anyone above midcard.

I've enjoyed his matches with Big Show and Henry, though, so he could come out of this feud looking good.
