Backlash is going to be a fun and entertaining show.

So Sasha is jobbing clean to Alicia Fox now. Wow has WWE's booking of her sucked recently.

Also WWE allowing Alexa to punk out a top babyface week after week after week. I'm getting flashbacks to her feud with Becky (and that was terrible for Becky).

Golden Truth splitting up now feels, pointless. It's not like Goldust is going to get a big push or anything.

Goldust could easily get a push. WWE gives vets a small push sometimes like Kane or Big Show. Goldust is good and has shown the ability to turn it up in the recent past.

Xavier Woods, livestreaming UpUpDownDown right now.

It's amazing that the WWE would allow video games in the locker room these days. It boosts morale in there. I am guessing The Bryan Kendrick, The Hardy's, Mickie James and Luke Gallows have noticed that change since they all returned. Also if Kenny Omega were to make the jump, he can be a regular on UpUpDownDown.

Also I don't know if this has been mentioned here, but apparently Io Shirai has accepted WWE's offer after all. And:

She also apparently impressed two legends at the same time. Well-done for her, she's amazing.

He runs Squared Circle Sirens, which has been very accurate with rumors of WWE signings.

I won't be surprised if I get into the women's tournament more than the CWC. And I really liked the CWC.

The plan is to a Netflix like thing and have 3 or 4 shows at a time on demand.

The finals are going to be interesting as it takes place on a Tuesday. I don't know how that is going to work.

Also, i just went back in the thread and saw Braun is out 6 months. Man, **** that.

Unfortunately, Rusev will probably face Orton for the WWE Championship. Orton probably won't lose it until Summerslam, to either AJ or Nakamura. I do think Cena returns by Summerslam, but I would not have him win his 17th World Title until WM 34.

Nice bounce back episode for Raw. The Reigns/Balor match was really good.

The former Simon Gotch tells the story of how the WWE locker room reacted to the Final Deletion:

“Chris Jericho had actually been given an advanced copy of it because Matt had done his podcast and he gave him a copy of it. So when we were over in Japan for a couple days, he was showing it to us. He was telling us that this video’s insane, it’s insane, it’s insane, it’s insane. So we had a viewing and Cena sees everybody laughing and asks what’s going on. And we were like, ‘Oh, we’re watching this Matt Hardy video.’ And he asked how it was. I said, ‘Try and imagine the worst thing you’ve ever seen WWE do. Then imagine if somehow it was good.’ And he looks at me for a second and he goes, ‘I don’t want to come in halfway. Please tell me when it is over. I would like to watch it.’

“So it finishes and we’re all dying laughing because it’s just the most insane thing anyone’s ever seen. I actually brought it up to Chris and found out he ended up bringing it up to Matt at Mania. If you watch the video when he lights the fire, Matt actually gets engulfed in a ball of flame for a second. If you watch it closely when he throws the fire down, pay attention to Matt. Don’t look at Jeff, don’t look at the fire. Look at Matt. The fire comes up and engulfs him. And he was like, ‘Yeah! No one noticed that! We were doing it, it took all day and we were losing the gasoline. They were like you just gotta go, just do it. And we just went and did it. It got all over me!’ And so it was just one of those where it was just a complete accident, but apparently not a lot of people noticed it.

“I came back in later, Cena was watching the video, he looked at me and said, ‘You are absolutely right.'”

My hopes are for Jinder to dethrone Orton and then get booted in the face by Rusev. Won't happen, but I can dream, can't I?

Also now almost no reason to watch RAW outside Alexa.

I'm fine with whatever decision they make with the WWE title at Backlash. I don't care enough about Mahal to be mad if Orton wins, but I'm interested to see if he can actually impress if he gets a run. I still see him as that guy who has never really been anything but the guy who loses and the backup to a guy who is more charismatic. He's not a bad wrestler but he's never really had an opportunity to show if he's really good either It's weird that his first real chance to do something is for the WWE title, and I'm sorry but I'm not caring all that much about the build up. I don't want to boo a guy like Mahal and I don't care about his heaters and trying to make him the villain. Oooooo look at the cheating Canadian-Indian guy complaining about Americans. He's a big meanie. Lets cheer Mr. Excitement: Randy Orton! There's no one I like enough to care.

I've given up on the prospect of WWE booking Sasha Banks correctly.

In regards to Jindar Mahal, while it probably would have been better to give him a run with the US or IC title FIRST as a dry run, I think, with some creative booking, he could have a solid title run. IMO, and I can't take the credit for this comparison, but it reminds me of JBL's first title win/run. Out of nowhere, but turned out okay.

Thats pretty much it, they did the most basic storytelling for mahal and play the "evil foreigner" card...to me that doesnt work.
I like that they gave someone unexpected the chance to prove if he is worth it...but then they did characterwise a bad job.
All he does characterwise, is scream and go: Bad americans...do we live in the year 1980 or what?
And Orton as champion does absolutly nothing to make this all interesting enough too.
They are both not really interesting at this point, so it doesnt matter who wins.

Despite it all however, i would be for Mahal as champion...simply because it would be something completely new on paper.

Also, the celebration the show after a Mahal win would be off the chart ... gold everywhere, dancers, confetti, etc. Exactly the right time for someone like Styles to come in and ruin it all, to the fans delight.
