just got done listening to Jericho's podcast with Shawn Michaels, highly recommended (and not because of who the guest is)

Did anyone here enjoy Bryan's performance on SD last night?

He was unleashing "The Dragon" on the Usos to hilariously violent levels :funny:

He was pulling out more moves and he was kicking like he was KENTA when the Usos were wrestling him.

That whole gauntlet match was actually really good. Especially the Uso's segment. I thought both Bryan and Reigns came out of it looking "strong". I also liked how they kept Reigns' whole family storyline going with his hesitation in hurting his cousins.

This was bound to happen after the last 2 solid NXT ppv

On the Bryan and Vinny show, right after they went over the fatal four way from "Rival", Bryan mentioned getting a message from someone in WWE.

The main roster wrestlers are becoming increasingly agitated at how the NXT wrestlers are allowed to actually wrestle and put out all the stops when performing, while the main roster guys are forced to just "entertain" in nothing matches. Of course the main eventers get to sort of go all out on PPV, but the undercard is woefully limited in terms of match quality. While the money is too good to give up, most of the roster loves wrestling, and are pretty sad about not being able to show what they can really do.

This is said to be doubly true for the women. The women are pretty mad, because they get to do next to nothing on TV shows, building up to nothing matches on the PPV. The NXT women, however, are having outstanding matches that are presented as "co-main events" with the men.

As a note: nobody is upset at anybody from NXT. But this fits in with the story that for months now, it's been increasingly obvious to everyone in the company that NXT is operating on a higher level than RAW/Smackdown in terms of quality.

If Seth Rollins cheated on his fiancee, that was wrong of him, but I'm not going to blast him for it. He's still an amazing performer and that's all that matters.

If we boycotted every wrestler who cheated in his relationships, Raw would be 3 hours of Darren Young fighting a Brawlin' Buddy.

Watching the tag team turmoil match.

I love when Daniel Bryan shows his vicious side.

I just watched the NXT: Rival pre-show, Renee, Graves and Saxton should replace Cole, blowhard and Lawler.

The video package for the Zayn vs Owens main event was the kind of thing that makes me still want to love pro-wrestling.

Dude. NXT IS pro wrestling :woo:

Another great episode of NJPW on AXS TV. Tonight's featured matches were from Kizuna Road 2013.

First match was Togi Makabe, Jushin Thunder Liger, Captain New Japan, and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Bullet Club (Karl Anderson, El Terrible, Tama Tonga, and Bad Luck Fale) with the babyfaces getting the win.

Main event was Finn Bálor (Prince Devitt) challenging Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in what I still believe is Bálor's best match to date.

Speaking of Devitt, how the hell was he called the "Real Rock 'n Rolla" when his theme song was dub-step as ****? Pretty cool theme, but still... :o

I'm assuming it's a reference to the Guy Ritchie movie, it's like a crazy gangster that wants it all.

That was one of the reasons why Devitt went that route. Well, that and Jeff Jarrett.

NXT: Takeover: Rival was another quality show bar the poor Bull vs Corbin match, I can never see the point in hyping a No DQ stip between 2 brawlers and then have them just work a regular match with some brawling outside the ring, either do it properly or don't bother.

The opener between Itami and Breeze was decent, Itami's fire up and his striking were excellent and Breeze is owning his gimmick. The tag title match was a bit botchy but overall ok, the team of Murphy & Blake are straight out of the 80's and all the better for it.

Balor vs Neville was excellent, it took the best of indie work and meshed it with the best of the WWE big match blueprint. Balor can be a major player if they book him right, his entrance is money alone, he can talk and wrestle and is surely ripped and good looking enough for Vince to overlook his height.

The Divas almost stole the show with a perfectly executed fatal 4, everyone shone, the spots were creative and the right woman won.

The main event was the MOTN for me though, it was oldschool stuff with a great story that made a heel while leaving their top face unharmed. Owens mind games to lure Sami in, then his cold blooded control of the match as he took him apart was great, Owens worked the crowd and his offense well, while Sami sold like HBK. As always Zayn's comeback was excellent and I loved the way he looked runner legged while trying to get fight backj with burts of offense. The concussion angle followed by several brutal powerbombs from Owens to win by referee stoppage cemented Owens as THE dangerous top heel and added to Zayn's journey as a face.

I saw the Rumble triple threat last night and it was good, but Zayn vs Owens topped it comfortably IMO.

Renee Young interviews "The Boss" after her title victory:

She is the real deal, crisp offense, great bumping and selling, completely owns her character and can cut a promo, plus her heart is clearly in the business, hopefully she goes all the way to the top.

When I see Charlotte I see Naitch. But I can easily get past that because she is a damn good wrestler in the ring and in the end that's what I want. I'm not watching wrestling for the pretty women (not that it hurts) I'm watching it for the spectacle that is pro wrestling. So as long as she's damn good in the ring, that's all I need and she should be on the main roster by the time WM rolls around.

To be clear I don't care about her looks either, I was just giving my take on the story, as long as Renee is on the show I don't need other hot chicks, I'd prefer good wrestling, and Charlotte is a good worker and will no doubt get called up before Sasha despite being inferior IMO.

Who got owned?

What's going on here with Ashley Massaro?

Didn't Triple H just get done saying Chyna can't be in the Hall of Fame because some kids might type her name into google?

Are those tweets even real?

I am happy that NXT mentioned the history between Owens and Zayn.

However, Vince McMahon will forget about it when both come up to main roster jobbing to Adam Rose.
