I wonder if it's at all possible that if Hogan comes back he gets a lukewarm reaction.

He's got the whole Dorian Gray thing going on. Except Hogan peeks at his picture EVERY F***N DAY

Your typo...

...answers your question :funny:

Eh the typo makes it better anyway lol.

Because he is Immortal!

Seriously between his KoK theme (which sounds like something out of Highlander) and his entrances at Wrestlemania I swear Triple H is a Highlander fan.

Wouldn't be the first time for a Highander-WWE connection

- Ric Flair reportedly injured his left arm in the match against Sting at Monday's TNA Impact Wrestling tapings, airing tomorrow night on Spike TV.

Backstage reviews on the match were negative as there were numerous blown spots. One source said the match was so bad that it has no place on TV.

Regarding who is to blame, it's said that Flair is rusty from not wrestling lately but sources say Sting deserves a lot of the blame also, as it appeared to observers that he forgot some of his planned spots.

Flair...:csad:

How the mighty have fallen, that was once a classic combination, but I'm not overly surprised, when they wrestled on a few nitros in the late 90's they phoned it in with the same old spots.

Hogan, like him or not... WAS Wrestling. I know, I don't like it either, but people who don't watch wrestling or haven't watched wrestling in years know who Hulk Hogan is. I have a buddy that never heard of Piper, or Savage... but the one he knows? Hulk Hogan.

Now... I think Hogan's belief that he is STILL wrestling is... Wrong, however... if he came back to the WWE for a one night only, or maybe a few month long good bye run and it was promoted as such... it would sell tickets.

Then again... it would probably go against everything the WWE has been doing with Punk and all the "younger" stars.

You're right, he's the Chazz Michael Michaels of Wrestling.

- Hollywood gossip sites reported this week that George Clooney has taken his relationship with former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler to the next level by introducing her to his parents. The rags report that Keibler has told friends that her and Clooney's chemistry is "off the charts." Clooney lashed out at a reporter this week for asking about his love life at a media event.

- CM Punk wrote the following on Twitter regarding a WWE DVD about him: "A DVD of yours truly will never be done unless I call the shots. Stories must be told correctly. Haters included."

- The Rock is scheduled for at least one RAW Supershow episode leading up to his appearance at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.

- As noted before, Linda McMahon will be distancing herself from WWE in her 2012 bid for the US Senate. However, Chris Shays, a Republican who is running for the same nomination as McMahon, says he will make Linda's WWE track record part of the campaign from the beginning.

- Former head writer for WWE's NXT show Jen Bloodsworth recently quit the company. Bloodsworth started with WWE's website and has been working on creative since 2007.

- Regarding the main event of WWE Night of Champions this Sunday, this week officials were still debating which match goes on last with the Triple H vs. CM Punk match being the leading candidate.

- There is said to be no complete direction in place for the new WWE Network that debuts next year. Ideas have been tossed around about doing TV series and reality shows with the WWE talents. The backbone of the network will be WWE's massive tape library and the WWE Studios films. Vince McMahon made an internal decree six weeks ago to get a move on everything as they want the network up and running by the end of 2012.

- The WWE creative team reportedly now consists of two groups - the "home team" and the "traveling team." The home team, mainly Stephanie McMahon and Brian Gewirtz, will be going to TV tapings less often with the idea that as soon as RAW is over, they and the other writers who don't travel begin working on long-term programs and the following week's shows. Former Baltimore Sun writer Kevin Eck has been mentioned as a possible member of the "home team."

The "traveling team" will be led by head SmackDown writer Ed Koskey, head RAW writer Dave Kapoor (Ranjin Singh) and a lot of the newly hired soap opera writers. The writers are no longer traveling on WWE's corporate jet and are flying commercial, having to drive from RAW to SmackDown instead of flying on the WWE jet.

"Air McMahon" is now being used for Vince McMahon, Triple H, John Laurinaitis and a few others. One person close to the situation said this is actually preferred over traveling on the jet with the negative being that you don't get home until Wednesday after the tapings. WWE has chartered buses for their writers and producers in the past, depending on the distance between the cities that host RAW and SmackDown that week.

- MMAFighting.com has excerpted part of Triple H's interview he did with Moviefone.com last week. It should be noted this question wasn't in the original interview we wrote about. Here's Triple H's response when asked about UFC:

Moviefone: How do you think WWE and pro wrestling needs to evolve as UFC and MMA grows in popularity?

"I don't think we have to evolve. It's two totally different things. I think now especially there's this thing like, "oh it's very similar."

I don't see us needing to evolve to what UFC does because quite frankly sometimes the fights are long and boring, guys lying around and sometimes the fights are fast and over in five seconds. I've always thought one of the things about us, if you look at us solely from a sports standpoint, is that we always give you a good show. We're never going to give you a crap game.

I think if anybody needs to evolve, it's them. Give more of an entertainment standpoint. Give more form; they just have fighters who walk in in T-shirts and shorts and just stand there and then they fight and then they win and then they go "thanks, I'd like to thank my sponsors" and then they leave. The whole world was up in arms when Brock was flipping people off and was cussing at the beer company because they didn't give him any money and everyone thought, "oh my god, he's disrespectful," -- the whole world was talking about it. They couldn't wait to see him get beat up. And then he did well, and he beat some guys and then people jump on his bandwagon going "Brock's the greatest." I'm good friends with Floyd Mayweather and Floyd would be the first to tell ya, "I make the most money in boxing and I have the biggest buyers because I have the biggest mouth." He'd be the first guy to tell you that. That's what it's about. Sports is entertainment."

CM Punk responded on Twitter this afternoon to Triple H's MMA comments: "RIDICULOUS!!!!! Laugh out loud ignorance."

Triple H was also asked about the recent article exposing Ric Flair's troubles. He said:

"Ric is one of my best friends. Ric doesn't know when to walk away. Ric doesn't want to be told to walk away. And Ric can't afford to walk away. Ric has lived every day of his life like it's the last for almost the fifty years he's been in the business. In Ric's mind, it's still 1982, he's on top of the world, he's young, he's got a lot of money. Ric has never questioned spending. We have a term on the road where if you go out and you have a crazy night that you spent a ludicrous amount of money or you just lose it one day and you can't go through another airport and you're trying to get a jet instead, we call it 'Naitching.' Ridiculously spending money for no point is called 'Naitching.'"

When I was younger, I always dreamed of being a writer for the WWF/E. The more I hear about what it's really like, it seems like the job from hell. I think I'll stick to where I am for now.

lots of turnover in that job.....because now its not about creating new ideas, its just about spitting stuff out that Steph will ok and pass to Vince

Thing is I don't think Wrestling even needs writing.Just of a couple of bookers and that's it.Wrestling shouldn't be all that complicated. Why they hire Soap opera writers is beyond me.

also staff writers from DC and Marvel, and staff writers from some networks....

indie wrestling doesn't need writing, neither should Impact....but when you get as big as the WWE, there has to be some structure to the product on TV.....you can't just let people out there to ramble...

Hm, wonder how this is going to work. Last time Linda ran, the WWE was more PG than ever. They seem to be a bit edgier now so I wonder if they'll clean things up again in 2012

Shays has a shot, but he did get booted out of his seat by a f'ing nobody so a lot of voters here in CT view him as a loser

I have something to say! It's better to burn out than to fade away!

are we talking the belt or steph, i'd give that a go:woot:

I left it intentionally ambiguous since I'm not sure myself which one he loved more at the time. :funny: We know Steph gave him unlimited power though!

I'd hate to be a booker or writer. I imagine it really is hard to book with all the egos involved. But the writing team just sounds like a horrible situation all around. between some fo the awful ideas they come up with, the schedule they're on, and the people they have to please...I'd rather stick razor blades in my eyes than be part of that.

Plus WWE "writing" credit is almost a the bottom of the barrel. Like one step above porn writers

All those writers and I'm still waiting on that structure you're talking about. Especially in TNA. :o

What does her opposition say about WWE to use it against Linda?

they basically use it as "glorifying violence in entertainment", they talk about Hogan, sterioid use, the various deaths.....even the ones in which guys never worked for the WWE....but the voters really dont care....they lump all wrestling together

I said in my post I don't think Impact needs writers because of the size of the promotion.....but the WWE (being as big as it is) requires a bit more than just "bookers" imo

Linda should just run for Governor. She'd have a much better chance at winning.

I'd like to see Hogans last match be him putting Cena over. It might not be very good but its a good story.

It'd be the perfect match for Wrestlemania 30 if Hogan can last that long although I'd prefer him to job to Orton instead, something he failed to do in his last WWE match.

Has anyone here gotten the Randy DVD? I'd like to know if it's worth buying.

Great documentary as the *****ebag comes off as likeable, but most of his matches on there are from PPVs so unless you don't have many WWE DVDs, its not worth a buy.
