That had me smiling too.

I'd like to see that.

Del Rio being HHH's corporate champion I assume? He gets the rub that he really needs right now but I wonder where that would leave Punk?

Given the way Miz has been bringing up Punk in most of his promos lately I could see a Miz vs Punk feud starting up as a guy Punk has to go through to get to Triple H. Or they could book the tag match as enemies tag and do Cena/Rock vs Triple H/Punk.

I think they're both right. MMA definitely needs to stay ahead of the curve and continue to evolve because they can't do the same thing forever and not expect people's interest to wane. But it has the built in advantage in that its legit sports. Its always going to have a leg up on WWE in that regard as far as peoples perceptions.

But For HHH to say that they need to do it now more than WWE is silly. WWE is desperately in need of evolution (not THAT Evolution :cwink:) ASAP more than MMA which is what Punks recent run has been proving.

In the 80's and 90's WWE evolved with the times and tapped into them. They haven't done that for years. Its why Punk is a breath of fresh air. He has caused the show to evolve a little bit and shows how stale it was before. Like HHH said WWE is more entertainment so its something THEY need to keep aware of.

Oh business-wise I agree, I just meant his point about the boring matches and main events that are over in 10 seconds, and that doesn't even cover all that stinky man feet up by the face action. :csad:

Shawn Michaels back on WWE programming? Sounds good to me.

i disagree with hhh on mma yeah a fight can be over in 10 seconds but can also go 25 minutes of non spot action

mma brings something wwe lacks

unpredictability

mma can create a star out of nowhere with a KO win over a top star

yes there have been boring mma matches

but i also have seen plenty of boring wwe matches that hhh/wwe have full creative control in planning, length, spots, etc.

WWE at times can be unpredictable. Hell this whole CM Punk thing has been unpredictable for better or worse.

Those 25 minute matches are not non stop action IMO, there are lots of periods of them rolling on the floor jockeying for position.

MORE ON CENA AND ROCK AT SURVIVOR SERIES

By Mike Johnson on 2011-09-16 18:54:24

WWE officially announced this evening that John Cena and Dwayne Johnson will team at Survivor Series as partners in a 5 vs. 5 Survivor Series elimination match.

Bad move, lets be honest, we all know Rock will get the final pin, but sitting through 8 eliminations to get to it is going to kill the drama that a straight up one fall tag match would have had.

go watch any Dominick Cruz(one of my current fav fighters) fight all his fights go 25 minutes(mostly due to lack of power but all are extremely exciting fights and are all stand up fights

anyways ahh i love this gem

I def want to see Rock/Trips square off at SS. It's one of my favorite rivalries.

Rock and Cena teaming up in a survivor series is a great idea.First it gets Rocky's ring rust off.I think They should team up with Punk,Kofi and Bourne vs. HHH,Nash,Miz.Truth and I have no idea who the fifth person could be.Maybe Waltman. This'll give Del Rio a fresh opponent. at SS.

WWE Network News: What Will Air, Huge Loan, Trademark

WWE recently took out a $200 million line of credit with JP Morgan Chase Bank to finance the planned WWE Network and help the company expand its digital library. - At this time, WWE has not yet finalized exactly what will air on the network. Of course, the backbone of the network will be WWE’s massive library of television footage spanning multiple decades from almost every major national wrestling promotion in history. There’s also the WWE Studios films that WWE can air at very little additional cost. Beyond that, several ideas have been discussed, including reality shows and scripted sitcoms starring current and past WWE superstars.
- WWE will be pushing hard to have the network launched by the end of 2012.
- WWE has been working on trademarking the name “The Network” – a name that was actually considered for the Nexus faction at one point.

The only way I want to see sitcoms on the Network is if it's the wrestlers as themselves, but only in 24/7 kayfabe mode.

If I got the Network, I'd probably only watch it for the wrestling shows and nothing else.

Miz Fueding with Punk I can see, also fuels my speculation that Truth and Miz will join with HHH

I like this idea, and knowing how old school HHH is,I could actually see him booking this match (non keyfabe)

Nash and Shawn both showing up at NOC perhaps? :wow:

I may be a punk mark, but Id mark really hard if Shawn superkicked Punk to help his friend win.

I very much doubt HBK would come back to wrestle.

anyone else think HBK might help punk? he trained him (didnt he?) he might look like he is with nash and aich and then turn on them helping punk...

Punk wasnt trained by Michaels(you may be confused with Daniel Bryan) I know he has vouched for him (Punk) in the past when the higher ups were wanting to cut punk.I could see HBK siding with Punk, as I doubt the fans will buy Michaels as a heel,

ah right, i thought I read somewhere he trained him or something - Im prob getting confused with Bryan there youre right

I've long believed that eventually the conspiracy would invite R Truth in as a part of it. You cant have a workable heel stable without a corporate champ (and god knows del rio needs the rub) so Del Rio, Truth, The Miz, Nash and HHH vs The Rock, Cena, Punk, Evan and Kofi. Kofi and Evan get eliminated. Punk eliminates Nash, but HHH then interferes and Punk gets eliminated by Del Rio. You then have The Rock and Cena taking turns destroying the bad guys and it all ends up being a show to see who is better as the heel roster flops around the ring.

shawn showing up to possibly help HHH is a bad move, shawn can never be booed. hell even in his last heel run against hogan he only got boos in canada, the guy could cure cancer and still get that

on the survivor series bit, admit it, it would be cool to see rock/hhh promo or a tease of they're history

True, but HBK Vs. Rock or Punk would be totally worth it. As much as some people loved HBK Vs. Undertaker II, I felt The Undertaker was the wrong guy to end Shawn's career. It should've been Triple H or a younger talent like Morrison.
