Darn you Psych! I got the Rock/Cena promo I've been waiting for, and you took it from me befor it finished! :cmad::cmad:

They keep selling this thing as being huge, but Cena just doesn't feel like a legend. He doesn't move people the way legends do. This is more about The Rock coming back than two icons of different eras clashing at the biggest stage. It's like Malcolm X vs. Louis Farrakhan.

Naw this is like a legend vs. icon bout. Clash of the titans between Rock and Cena.

Wow Rock! He's dead on! If Rock beats Cena, he'll have beaten the top guy of three different eras.

Yeah, when he said it it really sunk in. It'll be interesting to see how this match turns out.

Okay, glad I sat through that. That was a match selling promo. I'm actually interested in seeing how this ends now. Cena's comments makes me want to see what happens afterwards. Hell, Rock was on point once Cena came out.

That promo planted yet another seed for a Cena heel turn,But of course WWE will not pull the trigger,IF Cena wins he could get cocky&arrogant and IF he looses then he can snap that he lot!!!

Cena's not a legend, but he's the face of the current era, and that's what makes it big. Rock has to beat Cena so he can have on his resume that he's beaten Hogan, Austin, and Cena, the faces of three eras of wrestling.

Cena has to beat Rock because Rock's an icon, and he won't let a part-time/visitor put him down.

DARN IT! I've been wanting this promo for weeks!!!!

Yeah, Rocky was firing on all cylinders tonight.

Good final promo, but still would have been better in Piper's pit. Also I wanted a pull apart brawl between the two.

Damn...that was...awkward. it got stronger as it went on though. Rock and Cena both brought their A game. made some great points. They each have a strong reason to win.

I'd swear they really don't like each other. There seemed to be some real tension.

That was a heel promo by Cena ... He was mocking the crowd and getting cocky .... Id love to see how he reacts if he loses

Now whether the wwe follows through on what looks like a A Cena turn...

Which makes this even more of a better storyline and feud.

While they were of course in character it felt like they were shooting, especially Cena. I really believed what both were saying and they nailed the reasons why winning was important.

Unless they plan on making Punk the top guy in the company, I doubt Cena is going to turn heel. I dono why WWE never had a heel be the top guy in the company before. NWA/JCP did it in the 80s with Ric Flair, who was the top guy but a heel. A heel who is the top guy in the company would be refreshing in the WWE and they do need a ultimate heel right now.

The moment I take one of The Rock's promo seriously is when he stops speaking in first person.

That will be the moment I MUST stop, look, an listen.

Don't get me wrong, the Rock gives damn good promos but it ALWAYS take me out of it when he keeps refering to himself in the 3rd person.

Easily the best promo between the two as once Rock finished his "comedy" routine it was down to business and real minus the name calling, it made everything feel bigger. I was kind of expecting something to happen but the way it just ended was cool, it left it up in the air as both had made impassioned declarations of why they'd win and why they have to win, what drives them, great stuff.

When Cena said he was a WWE Superstar when it was cool to be one, I half-expected him to bring up the Benoit tragedy.

They had that for a few years with Triple H as the top guy but also a heel.

Wow....I wanted to see more! Damnit; cut off way, way, way too early. I wanted to see a brawl. Now I have no idea what the outcome will be; a win would be amazing for each guy.

i also like that rock and cena really haven't been physical this whole year of build

it makes it feel more special

I don't think Vince will allow anyone to go there. It was interesting to see the crowd shift towards Cena as his promo went on, and that was the least pro-Rock crowd over the last 6 weeks except maybe Boston. Cena's knack of soaking up hate and shrugging it off and then telling the truth that even a numbnut can't argue with, is very effective.

Man if Cena goes back to being goofy when this is over, I might shed a tear. Character wise, this is the best I've seen of him since this Thuganomics days. I've loved all of his promos of the last month.
