I'm asking. Is this his last RAW for awhile.

Wrestling next year, yes. But I mean his last RAW for awhile.
He's been confirmed for the Raw after Mania, but that's it for who knows how long.

Rock/Cena had an amazing one hour show dedicated solely to their match that will be aired 11 times this week and their best promo war to date.

Punk finally snapped after all Jericho has done to him.

The Battle of GMs finally shaped up and had two big names added to it.

They did plenty tonight IMO and I expected a s*** show. Basically by this point if you're not sold on Mania, nothing will change that and WWE knows it. Hell, I'd even lay down good money that the people who claim to not buy it based on tonight will still find a way to watch because it's Wrestlemania and 99% of those weren't going to pay anyway.

Agreed. The main-events were all hyped, from the Taker/HHH III packages, Punk snapping and ready to destroy Jericho, to Cena/Rock.

Man if Cena goes back to being goofy when this is over, I might shed a tear. Character wise, this is the best I've seen of him since this Thuganomics days. I've loved all of his promos of the last month.

For real. Cena has been on point for a while now. But I think having Rock there has brought this out of him. I'm not sure someone other than Punk and HHH can do the same. Let's hope he doesn't go back to his other ways.

I wonder if this constant mention of Rock being the biggest star of his era is going to be the kick off point for a build to Austin doing a match.

Btw did anyone make out what Rock said when he was silenced out in his response to Cena calling him a visitor?

True. It probably helps if his opponent is good on the mic and that they can play off one another.

But still, he's got to find a way to keep Serious Cena alive.

G** D***, like Cena said before.

If that were to trigger Austin coming out of retirement, do you think it would lead to Austin/Rock IV, or Austin/Punk?

I marked when Cena said he knows people have been tired of his character,The whole promo was them in like 90%out of character and it was great,Cena showed his passion&love for the business and WWE while leaving out all the cheesy/lame jokey crap..And Rock had the humor But FINALLY went to business!!!

I'm sorry but next year needs to be Punk vs Cena at Wrestlemania.

I would love for (If Rock loses) The Rock to come out to challenge Cena to a rematch at next years Wrestlemania but for Punk to beat him to the punch.

I don't think Vince will allow anyone to go there. It was interesting to see the crowd shift towards Cena as his promo went on, and that was the least pro-Rock crowd over the last 6 weeks except maybe Boston. Cena's knack of soaking up hate and shrugging it off and then telling the truth that even a numbnut can't argue with, is very effective.

When Cena gets sincere like he did tonight the Cena sucks crowd tends to shut up and listen to what he has to say and he actually does win people over even if its temporarily. I agree thats a strength of his that few have. Even if they don't like him they do believe him.

While they were of course in character it felt like they were shooting, especially Cena. I really believed what both were saying and they nailed the reasons why winning was important.

They both sounded like they had some genuine emotion in their voices and moments of respect and dislike. This finally made this match feel like a big deal.

They both said everything they needed to say. There were things I was hoping they would say and they did word for word.

Sorry IF this has been posted But..

Ah, I guess that was a good catch for them since they missed it when Cena said it.

I don't see any point in an Austin vs Rock match at this stage, they had a Mania trilogy and it's done. Austin vs Punk would be an interesting sell because Punk is not a star on the Austin level, but they could play it that he was always more of a Savage and Bret guy than worrying about being Hogan or Austin and making the most money.

I think it's like HBK said on that Once in a Lifetime piece, it's become somewhat of a fad to boo Cena, it's the thing to do at the arena, but when he gets real and talks like that I think a lot of people sort of sit there thinking "Why am I booing him again?"

Punk/Stone Cold
Cena/Rock 3
HHH/HBK
Taker/Lesnar

Next year's card?

Great card, but if HBK is going to have one more match, I'd rather see him face The Rock, Lesnar, or someone he's never faced before.

Also, Cena/Taker would be a big match, we haven't them face each other since Vengeance 2003.

All I could think when Cena was talking tonight was "he makes a great heel, too bad he's booked as a babyface". He was so smug tonight I was hoping for Rock to Rock Bottom him right there.

Before Raw tonight, WWE taped the matches for this week's Superstars, and then taped footage for this week's edition of WWE Smackdown. Here are the results:
-Chris Jericho defeated Kofi Kingston after hitting the codebreaker.

-Zack Ryder defeated Drew McIntyre after hitting the Rough Ryder.

-Jinder Mahal came to address the crowd but was interrupted by DX - Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Both HHH and HBK hit their finishers on Mahal, then HBK grabbed the mic and said that no matter what happens on Sunday, he is still better than Triple H. That ended the Smackdown part of the taping.

The last part just sounds bizarre.

Agreed on HBK,Cena vs Taker would be a HUGE match k-fabe wise..Last time they wrestled Cena was a disrespecting rookie and now he's the Biggest face of the company and Taker's career is is obviously winding down and HBK&HHH recently couldn't do it But perhaps he can!!!

WrestleMania VIII Hulk Hogan vs Sid Justice 1/2

When we talk overness and biggest star ever, listen to this response for Hogan, they are going nuts for him non stop for close to 10 minutes........Stick around past the entrance to see a truly awful bit of wrestling between them as well. :woot:

- Chris Jericho has extended his current WWE deal. The contract was originally for six months but it has been extended for another severalk months, making him full time in the company through summer.

It isn't yet known what will happen with the previously-scheduled Fozzy tour, but his "tour of duty" has he's jokingly called it is confirmed. He may continue to feud with Punk or he could be drafted over to Smackdown after WrestleMania.

Sucks that many of the wrestlers I grew up idolizing were/are political A-holes..Hogan/90's HBK(not sure IF he still is )/Triple H&Austin(to an extend it seems),And currently with people like Orton!!!

I think paranoia play a large part in it. It seems like Hogan , Austin , and Triple H have all made questionable decisions but when your in that spot it's probably harder to see things clearly.

If there is no Piper's Pit for Rock and Cena tonight there is no justice.

It's a shame they never did that but from what I'm readin Raw sounds awesome.

I liked the ending to Sheamus and Orton vs Kane and DBryan. Sheamus gets caught on the rope then choke-slammed for Bryan to cover. Ordinarily that indicates Sheamus will win but I have a feeling Bryan retains so he can drop the belt to Orton. It seems too soon for Bryan's reign to end.
