The Wrestling Thread Wasn't Actually Drafted...It Just Showed Up! - Part 241

The Eater of Doughnuts lost my interest a while ago too. Even when they put the title on him I knew he wouldn't be holding it for a long period.

Sucks cause he's an entertaining talk and solid ring worker. Should have been the new Undertaker. They should have kept the belt on him, with a full strength Wyatt family behind him, for a long title run leading to a top face finally "overcoming the odds" and taking the belt.

Oh well.

How the hell can WWE claim that the Network has all of ECW when they have ZERO of the supercards from before 1995?

Most notably, they don't even have the NWA World Title Tournament Show. The one where Shane Douglas threw down the NWA title and proclaimed the ECW Championship a world title. All they have is the episode of Hardcore TV with highlights.

Also missing November to Remember 1993 among 35+ others.

I also can't find any of the shows from the "revamped" ECW from the 2000's.

That wasn't ECW and I have no interest in watching that nonsense.

But the real ECW? I would subscribe to WWE Network for the rest of my life if they actually had all of it.

But they don't. They consistently don't deliver what they advertise, and nobody seems to care.

While it wasn't ECW, they still had some solid-to-awesome feuds/matches with John Morrison, Matt Hardy and CM Punk.

We've noted how Charlotte Flair may be going to SmackDown but PWInsider reports that Sasha Banks will be joining her on the blue brand. Other names going around to join SmackDown tonight include Sami Zayn, The Shining Stars and WWE United States Champion Kevin Owens.

Hopefully, no Roman Reigns to Smackdown. But the Shining Stars? Seriously?

Also, the Rock dodges comments he made towards Vin Diesel back in August:

"Just like, in life, you have different philosophies and people have different fundamental philosophies on how you do things," Johnson said. "And again, the most important thing is just the movie. So I'm happy that we're here in New York City, I'm happy the fans love it."

Vin said that it was overblown:

"In my house, he's 'Uncle Dwayne,' and I'm proud of that," Diesel said. "We still love each other, that's my boy. When I was making that difficult decision, should there be an 8 or not, I called [Johnson] and he said, 'Brother, I will be there shoulder to shoulder with you to make sure it's the best movie in history.' And he delivered."

I'll be honest, after the fourth Fast and Furious movie, I was almost out on the entire franchise. Bringing the Rock into the franchise has increased my interest in the films and renewed my interest in the franchise. He's one of my favorite parts of the Fast and Furious movies. Probably not the only one who feels this way. To use a common phrase found here in this thread, he had "dream matches" with Vin Diesel and Jason Statham.

I'll never understand the WWE's need to have 3 of the 4 horsewomen on 1 show at a time.

If they move the Shining Stars, they need to scrap their gimmick, Usos-style.

Maybe Smackdown will also get DIY. I mean RAW has Enzo and Cass, New Day, The Club, Shesaro, The Hardy Boyz, Beauty and the Man Beast, and The Revival.

I think Enzo and Cass will move.

So any predictions on the next five WWE Hall of Fame Headliners? These would be mine:

2018- The Undertaker
2019- Goldberg
2020- The Rock
2021- Triple H
2022- Brock Lesnar or John Cena

When is Mick going in? I think he's headliner worthy.

Mick's already in, got inducted in 2013. He got inducted the same year as Trish Stratus, Booker T, Bruno Sammartino and Bob Backlund. If anything, I think Mick (along with Stone Cold) would be one of those guys who would induct the Rock.

Oh that's right.

One critique of wrestling over the last 10-15 years I have is that no one seems made about losing a title or getting cheated out of a win anymore. Every character has the "Oh well" mentality the writers/Vince forces on them.

You think so? I would be surprised if it's anyone but Austin. Their feud was the Rock's defining one.

If the Rock wants Foley, it'll be Foley. If he wants Austin, he'll get Austin. If he tells the WWE that either one is fine, it'll be one of them and nobody else.

The Rock is the only guy that can do anything he wants when he's in the WWE and there's nothing the WWE can do. He can cut a promo mentioning names of recently released superstars or those that are suing the WWE, and the WWE will be upset, but that's all they can be. Even if the WWE was to sever ties with him based on that, he's still going to be busy with the 1,000 movies he has signed up for.

I think I forget they put Mick in because he seems like a guy who should have headlined but Bruno went in that year so no deal.

Mick got overshadowed by Bruno, Booker and Trish.

I bet Zack Ryder had flashbacks to his epic beatdown by Kane while watching the Reigns/Strowman segment.

Those beatdowns seem to last longer than any of his career renaissances.
