The Wrestling Thread beat up Daddy

The Bullet Club might as well end. Anderson was the real centerpiece to the group and AJ was the kayfabe leader. They lived without Devitt, but I say losing AJ is like losing Hollywood Hogan.

Kevin Owens is a good sign of what happens to outside guys, but I'm still worried for their handling. As a big ROH fan, I'm crushed that AJ and Shinsuke are done. AJ listed on his own website he'd be at the Jan 23rd show I'm going to and I was stoked af to see him live. I'd love to see them at Wrestlemania, but we'll see just how well this turns out.

AJ Styles real name is Allen Jones.....so I would not be surprised if that is his WWE name.

And will Doc Gallows be Luke Gallows again?

I'm a Gallows mark myself so bring in him and Anderson as a tag team would really give the division, either NXT or RAW/SD, a boost. I'd love to see them vs Dash and Dawson.

So the Mayor of Suplex City will return next week.

I so want him to F5 the League of Nations.

I'm going to be watching WWE again. The fact that I just read that Reigns is defending the title in the Rumble is freaking awesome. GREAT twist this year. Not the same formula we usually get from WWE.

AJ won the IWGP Heavyweight title in his first match in NJPW and his last matches for ROH and NJPW were for top title belts. He's gonna debut at the Rumble and should respectfully be at least a final guy in the ring if not the winner. Title feud with Roman is imminent. AJ Styles doesn't need development nor the other guys for that matter.

ROH changed the poster for my show online, so AJ's not on there, but Guns and Gallows are. I'll be sure to chant for the BC and wish them luck.

So is this guy going to be a surprise entrant at the Rumble?

Nakamura will be roomies with this guy:

I see Shinsuke going to NXT, which is probably for the best. Guns and Gallows probably go there, too and meet the Prince once again.

So I'm getting ready to watch Wrestlekingdom and, it being the Internet, guess what I see first thing...

Yeah,....wow. I figured Styles was enivitable, but also getting Machine Gun, Gallows, AND Nakamura in one swoop.

I think I also heard that Rocky Romero is going to sign to.

Would Americans embrace an nWo knockoff like Bullet Club? The reason it works in New Japan is because it's got that American flavor and they're heels infecting Japan with American style wrestling. Here it's just a better version Immortal in the states. You'd almost need Hall and Nash involved and just use the nWo name.

If anything, I'd say the Bullet Club is as much an nWo knockoff as Evolution was a Four Horsemen Knockoff. Similar, but still enough of their own identities. The key difference being that the nWo was (originally) a super gang of already well established "WWF Guys" presenting themselves as a seperate entity from WCW. Whatever version of the BC ends up in WWE won't be anywhere near as high profile.

They could play around with the invasion angle. Balor, Styles, Anderson, and Gallows in the ring addressing the universe. Mocking how a decade prior the wwe would've written them off as overrated Internet darlings and expendable enhancement talent. So instead they went elsewhere, gathered their strength, and created a shot heard round the world, etc.

Evolution didn't use the Horsemen hand signal though. Bullet Club used "Too Sweet" crotch chops, and spray paint. I like Bullet Club but I bet many who don't watch NJPW wouldn't get into a bunch of random young guys doing nWo/DX/Kliq gestures because they are fanboys like us. Then again, people appreciate Kylo Ren in Star Wars so maybe Bullet Club would work like that for people. Guys trying to carry a legacy forward. Bullet Club will finish what the nWo started.

No way Reigns will be the last man standing. Cena, Helmsley, or Lesnar will be taking the title back!
Maybe even The Rock! :woot:

"No way"? That's a stretch. In any case I must commend WWE for shaking things up a little since TLC. I'm actually intrigued by the Rumble and want to tune in for the build up now.

I would. I miss having stables in the WWE. We have a one now with the League of Nations and even Heath Slater put together a jobber one. NXT could definitely benefit from one.

Having Reigns beat these odds would kill his character and would make 3 RR disasters in a row. He'll be there at the end but I expect Lesnar to win setting up their rematch and Reigns big WM win down the line.

Great signing with amazing potential. But come on if you think wwe is gonna do the actual bullet club or anything like it you're kidding yourself.

AJ Styles signing with WWE would be enough for me to start watching wrestling again God that would be amazing

I think AJ will just keep his name. They've been lenient with that from time to time.

Unless they make him go by Allen Jones Fancy.
