The Wrestling Thread Won't Beg, But it will Ask Nicely

He needs to win the US Title, and rename it the Mexican Title. He still doesn't have enough heat for a villain of the magnitude he's supposed to be, and that will help.

That would be a great heel move. It would also keep him away from the "main event" belts, which he shouldn't be anywhere close to.

About to play WWE 2K14! Big line for people to play this game. I also watched Paige live in action. That was pretty cool. :)

Okay, so honest question. So I'm watching old Triple H promos for some random reason and reading the comments got me thinking. And please try not to let his three year reign of terror affect your view.

Without Stephanie McMahon, would Triple Haitch have only been an upper mid-card guy?

I think Triple H's association with Shawn Michaels did more for him than Stephanie. Triple H was already on his way to being a star when he started dating her.

I marked out for Razor Ramon.

Goldberg Vs. Lesnar could've been a good / decent powerman match if the smarky New York crowd didn't ruin it for the rest of us by being a bunch of attention seeking assh*les.

Still playing it, but if I had to briefly sum it up (so far): LOT'S OF FUN.

Or if Lesnar and Goldberg actually gave a ****. There's always that.

I don't condone their behavior, but if you're being heckled at work by a rude costumer, its hard to keep your cool and do your job professionally. Had people actually tried to enjoy the match, it would've lived up to the hype. That's why I agree with Nell on some issues because being smarky about sh** takes the fun of it sometimes.

As for Del Rio, he either needs to bring back the expensive cars (at least the Lamborghini) or go back to being a babyface. Those two aspects of him was when he was interesting. Coincidentally, the guy's been horribly mishandled just like his opponent, Christian, has for the past two years.

Just got finished playing WWE 2K14 and I have to say I am very impressed with the gameplay this year. The game is so smooth and a lot of the grapples and reversals are so seamless and well-done.

Things I noted:
-Playable characters that I saw in the demo were: Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Ultimate Warrior, The Rock(current version), Daniel Bryan (I think), Goldberg, Randy Savage, Dolph Ziggler, and Ryback. I played as Ryback, Daniel Bryan, Macho Man, and Dolph Ziggler.
-Ziggler's new moveset is great, especially the new Zig-Zag.
-Ryback's model and moveset are also really great.
-Only available match types that were available were 1v1 and Triple Threat. We did not play against a CPU.
-Savage's entrance and model are absolutely amazing.
-Didn't pay that much attention to the commentary, but the rest of the game sounds great. Really authentic sound effects.
-Ziggler's entrance is also great.
-The DDT "OMG!" Moment looks so vicious. Bryan Williams was obviously watching some PWG and NJPW when coming up with that haha.
-Spam running is fixed so (hopefully) online matches are more fun to play in.
-Obvious bugs and glitches, but it was a demo so they have some time to fix some things.

John Cena's been doing it with grace for years now and he's always getting heckled. And really, it was probably hard for the NYC crowd to care about the match since the two guys wrestling were leaving the next day anyway.

Agreed. Bagging Stephanie just got him control of the company after Vince goes.

Things I never thought I'd read in this thread.

:hehe:

2K is doing anotherlive stream with superstars and legends talking about their favorite WM matches&moments,JR is the host..And he's drunk, making a jackasss of himself pretty much lol before introducing the guets!
http://www.twitch.tv/2k

Razor and Macho Man looked incredible, I only wish they had alternate nWo attires for Hall and Nash to go along with Hollywood Hogan.

There's many"rewards"to unlock during the mode including tons of alternate attires so yeah maybe,I just use the"Unlock All" feature from Fan Axxess Pack to unlock everything right away as soon as I first pop in the games lol

Heyman would love to see Bryan vs Punk at a WrestleMania one day. Paul is undoubtedly a smark. :D

JR and Flair are drunk lol But Flair is f'n cool and I'd love to hear him tell more stories all night,Heyman is still a true mark and he knows Austin vs Brock would be top money

Flair giving advice against marriage is gold lol,That man needs a reality show!!

Dolph was marking out and holding his face many times trying to stop himself from laughing hysterically

I'm not sure if I'd be uncomfortable or laughing my ass off, but I'd definitely here Flair tell stories all night :funny:

I loved Flair's story about WWE after his son passed away,He put his 4-Horseman or some other HOF ring and something else wrestling related into the coffin and a months later during visiting NXT Triple H wanted to talk to him and so he thought Trips&Vince would be pissed off..But they gave him a new exact same ring But with his son's name engraved on it

I thought Flair&Foley would have tension between them after Flair sat next to Mick since they used to have heat between them But I guess after their match hey became buddies or t least respect for each other,They were joking around and laughing together, was cool

Speaking of the game, Goldberg's entrance was awesome. Really unique because of it starting with him in the locker room. :D

That's really touching. And a classy move by Triple H and Vince.
