WWE braintrust must not believe in the Cena vs. Bryan match to bring a high ppv buyrate for them as a big Summerslam main event to involve the HHH and McMahon nonsense as much as they are. The match itself should be enough to have around 30 mins of exciting action with a clean finish.

Hey Hunter, did you see the editorial I posted regarding TNA and WWE from Ewrestlingnews? If so, what are your thoughts on it and what do you suggest for TNA?

I haven't read it, got a link?

Nope. His son.

Ahh, didn't know they were related.

John Landis was one of the kings of comedy for years. I also loved Harold Ramis and the Zucker, Abrahams, and Zucker as well.

The 80's! :hrt: The Naked Gun by Zucker reigns supreme for me.

Ok so with the extremely slim chance hogan is gone from tna and the other rumour of a heel HHH facing mcmahons hand picked hero. How would guys feel is hunter goes over on hogan at mania 30.

Triple H has too much pride in his craft to have a match with Hogan at this point, Hulk can barely walk. If Hogan is involved it will be as a ref at the most, and in truth Austin is a better choice for that role.

I don't it has anything to do with them worrying about the buyrate, if anything they are pushing Brock vs Punk as the main attraction in many ways. The involvement of Triple H and Vince is either ego or story driven, you choose.

MORE ON BROOKE HOGAN'S RELEASE FROM TNA, WHY MOVING THE PPVS TO FREE TV WAS THE RIGHT CALL AND MORE
by Dave Scherer @ 10:28 AM on 8/17/2013

As we reported on the site yesterday, Brooke Hogan is now gone from TNA. The feeling internally was that her role on Impact had run its course and the sides decided it was time to part ways. Hulk Hogan was brought into the discussion and as far as I know the parting was amicable. Brooke is said to be focusing on non-wrestling projects going forward but the door is always open for a return at a later date if it makes sense to both sides. Also, financial considerations did factor into her release. One source in the company described her contract as being "A luxury we can't afford right now". That is the truth too, as paying good money to a non-wrestler, who isn't any kind of draw, at a time when TNA is cutting people that actually take bumps is impossible to justify to the talent. While there was no outward heat from the workers towards Brooke that I have heard about, there was a feeling among at least some of them that they felt at a time when money is tight, it should be spent on the people that actually work and not personalities. That is a feeling I agree with.

I think it says a lot about TNA's PPV buyrate numbers when you look at what bringing the PPVs to Impact have done. Last month, Destination X did 1,494,000 viewers, up from the 1,190,000 that they did the week prior. Hardcore Justice did 1,319,000 viewers on Thursday, up from 1,179,000 the week prior. The jump was about half of what they did last month, but at least they rose. The flip side is that if they could only get 140,000 more viewers to tune in this week for a PPV quality show, they probably couldn't have gotten a whole lot of people to pay $29.95 to watch it. So, putting the shows on Spike, where higher numbers keep TNA's main source of revenue happy, was the right call.

Interesting about TNA's buyrates.

Smart decision to cut Brooke. I'm not surprised it was amicable.

Lesnar vs. Punk is the main attraction to Summerslam.

Besides, Orton is cashing in on Bryan for the WWE Title anyways.

The question is: what the hell does Punk do after Summerslam?

That roster looks awesome. I need to get this game.

I am having a tough time making my picks for this years Summer Slam. Least predictable card in a while.

I called it that Hulk Hogan was in on the discussion about Brooke. It's possible he may not want her in the wrestling business in the first place as he didn't know she signed with TNA last year.

Paying good money to non-wrestlers who don't take bumps over wrestlers who do on a regular basis is unjustified. I have a feeling that Panda sent Jeff Jarrett to keep Dixie Carter in check, whether she likes it or not.

Putting the former PPV's on Impact worked well for TNA as they have regained viewers they lost between April to July of this year. I can see this being permanent from now on.

Random thought... The E are struggling or at least don't have many decent top level heels. They should have had Orton win the triple threat to face Del Rio, beat him at Summerslam to much ovation and then cash in later on in the night on a newly crowned Bryan, catapulting him to biggest heel in the company and double champ.

Then you can either go the way of combining the titles, having a bryan orton feud or even involve punk and/or cena.. Since the rock came back is the most i have watched wrestling since the invasion but a 3 or 4 way chase for the title could be interesting.

It would at least be better than orton cashing in on bryan or cena when not being whc anyway imo

My problem with Swagger is that I can't take him seriously when he's trying to look tough, he really comes off more comical than threatening.

Although I did like his whole jock nerd gimmick.

HOGAN GONE FROM TNA
by Mike Johnson @ 7:56 PM on 8/16/2013

Brooke Hogan is gone from TNA, PWInsider.com has confirmed. The story making the rounds is that she was let go from the company on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. It appears she is the latest cut from the company due to their budget restructuring.

TNA teased a "Brooke" last night on Impact Wrestling, so if you want to see who that is, you can find spoilers on the front page of the site. While there's always a chance she can pop back into storylines down the line, she is no longer working full-time for the company

Looks like Goldberg vs Brock (aka the most disappointing match ever) is in!

Oh, and Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels at WM X. But no one cares about that match.

Cena no-showed last night's house show in Portland, Orgeon. WWE is definitely keeping him out of the ring until tomorrow night due to the elbow.

I am still going to say that Orton will be WWE Champion tomorrow night.

Had a blast watching the reveal live. Some really good names in there. Diesel mullet and sunglasses FTW! :hehe:
