oh and I'd really hate having a stream later

CM Punk VS Brock Lesnar is a dream match that I'd be drooling to see if they just put it on a PPV with no build. So the fact that it's been built around this excellent storyline revolving around the breakdown of CM Punk's partnership with Paul Heyman makes it even better. I think these two could put on a real showcase tonight, and it says it all that, as great as Daniel Bryan VS John Cena will hopefully be, it's not a guaranteed fixture as the Match of the Night.

Also, the Summerslam preview show is really weird here in the UK. It actually leads with The Miz being the host for tonight, as if that's the star attraction.

See you guys tomorrow, hope the show is as gold as we're hoping! :)

ooooh was hoping it would be later so I could get some sleep in first... hmmmmmn... guess Ill get 3 hours sleep if it ends at 4... fuuuuuuudge Ima go for it! you staying up?

they did say I can go in late after any PPV but I feel bad if I do!

No I'm saving it for tomorrow so I'll be leaving this thread to avoid spoilers, enjoy the show man.

Shawn Michaels is a punk ass b*tch. I won't deny his talent, but he deserves all the venom he gets from me and any of his haters for all the sh** he's pulled. The guy has more dirt on him than The Undertaker's cemetary.

As for Montreal, I'm not saying Bret is a saint, but he should've a pay cut and dropped the title before the PPV or Vince should've been reasonable and honored Bret's creative control clause or have Bret drop the title to anybody else (Austin, Undertaker, or Shamrock), but the guy he despised.

If HBK HAD to win the title that night (I still don't know why Vince was so adament about this outcome), Hunter clocking Bret with the belt for Shawn to get the dirty win would've been the best finish to compromise both sides.

He deserves the venom he gets from you because of course you were there? :lmao: Whatever.

The reason Bret had to drop it to Shawn was that Shawn was the top heel and the match for Mania was Shawn vs Austin, simple as that, Bret should have just done the ****ing job, it's a work, stop being a mark for yourself and do what is right, not for Shawn or Vince, but for 5 months later when Austin needs that match with HBK to cement himself as the top guy.

The IC title match is over.

[BLACKOUT]Van Dam wins by DQ. Ambrose retains.[/BLACKOUT]

Ambrose/RVD was pretty solid. The ending didn't surprise me.

Nice finish for the preshow....I smell a feud between RVD and Ambrose.

Reddit Guy is ominously one for one.

And the L.A. crowd seems a little more into it than last year.

Because of Vickie Guerrero, the Wrestling Thread needs a tissue.

 :hehe:

Solid match. Expected the finish. Glad a chant of mine got over! :D

They are setting up the pyro under the ring. Ring of Fire looks to be first!

Listened to Kevin Nash on Stone Cold's podcast earlier this week and it was interesting because when he gave his 90 days, management approached him with trepidation about doing the job for the Undertaker and for HBK on the way out. Nash shrugged towards management (for him it was a part of business) and gladly did both.

I think blame is equally on the shoulders of Vince, HBK, and Bret. Always thought that way, always will.

Interesting that the most gimmicked match is leading off the PPV. That's never happened before, I think. Probably due to operational logistics.

What's with the Lesnar superfan?

I see him at pretty much every show now. Is he a paid employee of WWE? There to get other people pumped? I mean, how can a guy have the time and money to go to so many shows?
