The Wrestling Thread's Never Been So Disgusted With a PPV... - Part 139

I'll bet anyone a week's pay that there is a sizable contingent of writers/bookers in the WWE who actually want Bryan pushed, or for storylines to proceed in a sensible way, but every time they voice an idea that isn't what the powers that be want, they are immediately told to "stop getting your ideas from the internet boards," which effectively shuts them down.

I'm almost certain that's going on (and is typical behaviour, in varied forms, in any failing company in any industry).

I miss this.

The opening of that segment was so cringeworthy though.. :hehe:

Awwww Batista didn't gets his pop so he has to cuss and flip people off? How's it feel to be disrespected, Davey? Not good I can tell you.

Both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin praised Roman Reigns in their tweets. They didn't acknowledged Batista's win or Daniel Bryan not being in the Rumble.

Dave needs to turn heel and they need to play the authority's refusal to give Bryan a title shot. I'm actually hoping for a Batista/Bryan WM main event now because there is so much to draw from.

So I guess last night killed the idea of Kane actually being a face working undercover (how he set up the cage door being locked with only him having the key on Raw).

That crowd would be similar to RVD-Cena at ECW One Night Stand.

GOTG doesn't come out until August. Plenty of time for Dirty Dave to turn heel, then turn face after WM30.

How exactly are we supposed to ger our message out there? What's the PC way to do things?

I kinda marked for Corporate Kane last night,When he first went mask less again and became a corporate company man I thought it was dumb and a waste for Kane..But I've been digging him a lot lately

I enjoy him being smart in his segments with Maddox and Punk,His short hair is looking great on him and last night I thought it was actually cool that he came out in slacks while shirtless..which showed that he in a great shape,I want to see him wrestle like this at EC against Punk,Like a badass henchman that actually has brains than just muscles

Next time I play wwe2k14 I'm giving him his RR2014 attire,Mask less Kane is in"superstar heads"and I already gave him his corporate suit as an alt.attire for current Kane and so now defiantly doing this one

Just listen to any Jim Cornette shoot from the last couple of years where he talks about his time in Creative in the late 90's and you'll see it was happening even back then. The only difference is that Vince was much more desperate to compete with WCW back then and he didn't have anyone else influencing him like he might have now with HHH and Steph. Sure Russo had some influence, but Vince always had the final say and knew when to put him down.

But it was also clear that there were so many guys back then that never got over with the crowd because the people in the back botched their debut with poor bookings and Vince was starting to let writers who had no idea what wrestling was create their big stories. Of course there are people there now who have some sense and know what they should do, but no one wants to stand up to Vince and tell him he's wrong, which is actually what Russo did when he told Vince that the old ways weren't going to work right before they launched the Attitude Era.

And you see, this is why, as much people hate on Cena's in ring character, you can't help but respect the guy and all that he does for the company. The way I felt last night was the same way I felt after WM29, because I felt like Cena's win was so predictable as well and the fans did not want that and they let him have it, but he never once showed any signs of disgrace towards the fans. He knew that anything that he did would reflect the company, but with Batista, you can see that he's only in it for himself.

just curious....but did any of the Shield members eliminate each other?

Ambrose tried to eliminate Reigns from behind but Rollins stopped him, then Reigns eliminated them and someone else all together

Reigns was beasting like I was hoping,I thought he might be one of the final 4 but didn't expect him to be the last one before Batista won,Was awesome seeing and hearing him getting big pops and especially after he eliminated Ambrose&Rollins

Yea Reigns has now tied the record for SS eliminations and taken the record for RR eliminations.

Im not fan of guys getting mega pushes ,but I would have accepted Reigns winning the rumble over Batista

Yep and I haven't said a word against Cena in months. He's one me over with the things he's willing to do for other wrestlers. Hogan wouldn't have put over guys like Cena has.

Yeah well I'll believe that when I see it but putting him against Shameus at wm isn't a push at all.
