oh noes Jericho is upset at punk

....

 let the speculation begin.

What move does Jericho think Punk stole, exactly?

Also, what does Jericho care? He's not wrestling. You can't steal a move from a guy who isn't wrestling.

There's no clear plan on who will be winning the TNA Bound For Glory series tournament right now. While some assumed Crimson would be winning, TNA never had any serious plans for him to win because they realize he's still very green and not ready for that position.

Actually, the belief is James Storm was suppose to be the surprise winner and would go on to face Angle and win the title and given the ball to see what happens. Storm is well liked and the fact he has been with the company since day one was a big reason he was going to be given a chance.

But with Storm's shoulder injury, theres no clear plan.-

so....IOW......"bigger" doesn't always = better......:cwink:

Don't tell Nash that.

I made my comments about his physical condition because Nash seems to think anyone who doesn't at least come to his chin, isn't worth a pot to pee in. Just funny how karma works. Now, more than likely due to his freakish size, he can't even work a match against a guy who barely comes up to his chest. :awesome:

and since this is HHH's first match back, do you think on the next few weeks of Raw and Smackdown, he will compete in matchers to "warm up."

oh, and I still think Nash will be involved with the Punk/HHH match. He'll probably cost Punk the win again or else do something to add to the "conspiracy."

That would've been so awesome.

Sorry about your damn luck, James. :(

I think Kelly Kelly stole Kevin Nash's slow, weak punches.

I wouldn't be shocked if we see Punk go over Nash on TV... Maybe take him out with a chair to the ankle or whatever.

Well now we know, but it doesn't explain why they did a huge segment booking the match, have Punk take a powerbomb and then have Triple H virtually whisper the match change, I wonder if some even caught what he said. Punk now really has no way of getting over on Nash for costing him the title and powerbombing him again.

I still think the best thing to do is have Steph talk Triple H out of it and put Miz in his place against Punk.

It is pretty strange. It sounds like they found out Nash had health issues just recently. Like after they planned this all out. If they found out Nash's problem after he cost Punk the title I could understand. But to go through with the whole Raw and trying to swerve us was a bad move. If Triple H isn't the guy behind this all it will won't help Punk get retribution on whoever screwed him out of the title.

I guess the best thing would be to at some point have Punk destroy Nash with a chairshot to the leg or something during an altercation while Punk continues to try to get to the puppet master. They've really got themselves a problem though. Beyond HHH no other suspects can give us the in ring payoff. But it seems like he's really innocent. They may not have any choice but to go with the old standard and turn HHH heel early even though it seems that wasn't the plan.

Of course its their own fault for bringing in a 52 year old guy who's not in the best shape as it is. They took a gamble and they lost. Thats why I was wary of Nash returning for this in the first place.

Thank goodness the plan wasn't Crimson. I had a feeling that was a red herring since the guy isn't ready for something like this. I feel bad for Storm if he doesn't recover. If not him just go with Robert Roode. Roodes go an upside. Or Maybe Matt Morgan since I think he's cleared. Not as talented as Roode in the ring but he needs something to make him take it to the next level.

Whatever happened to Triple H not being able to touch employees? Isn't that part of his contract now since he isn't an active wrestler?

I think they should introduce X-Pac into the angle, let him take up for Nash and let Punk feud with him.

Since they're doing HHH/Punk at Night of Champions, I'm hoping for a DQ ending. Survivor Series should be changed to Team Punk vs Team HHH (I forgot who suggested last night) to continue to the feud, and hold off on the rematch until Wrestlemania.

He said thats what the board wanted but I guess the board approved him getting in the ring again. Sort of makes sense if thats the case but it still affects his impartiality if he's wrestling the people working for him...

Art imitating life like a b**** eh!

I agree the match just can't go off clean as planned. Nash has to run in or something. Just seems far to early to be doing Punk vs HHH. Waste of a money match for a B ppv like NOC.

If XPac is in any kind of condition to go I say why not. XPac is a good worker when he's clean and straight. it adds to the conspiracy aspect when TWO of Hunters buddys show up involved in all this. Nash can still accompany Pac to the ring.

Its not as impressive on the marquee as Punk vs Nash but at least the match will be better and it gives Punk more freedom in the ring.

Punk is overplaying the Steph-Card. It was an oh-snap moment the first time he brought it up but it's starting to get old. Last night period was a off night for Punk. His click click and puking stuff was lame and went on way too long. It felt like he was playing it up for the crowd last night. Punk got over by being himself and Im pretty sure he wrote the promo so I don't why he sucked.

LOOKING AT A 'GOOD WRESTLING, LOUSY STORYLINES' EDITION OF WWE RAW

By Mike Johnson on 2011-08-30 14:23:56

Last night's Raw episode should have been subtitled "A Tale of Two Shows" because it was like watching a schizophrenic version of professional wrestling. On one hand, there was good wrestling up and down the broadcast. On the other, the storylines were working in fast forward and were sometimes contrived, to boot. I wrote last week that CM Punk needed to show up this week either destroying someone or nearly getting to Kevin Nash before Nash made his last minute escape.

Instead, Punk shows up making jokes (and hey, I loved the click click click joke as much as anyone) but at the end of the day, Punk has now been bettered three or four times by Nash, who he isn't even going to wrestle at the next PPV. This is hardly the recipe for keeping someone at the top of the card and honestly, its painful to watch WWE chisel away at an asset that pretty much was self created. For all the talk of guys having to make the most of their opportunity, Punk did and now that he's signed and back in the loving arms of WWE, it's like they need to bring him down a notch. That's really saddening.

Also saddening was the storyline build to get to Punk vs. HHH, which originally was set for much later in the year. HHH wants Nash to apologize but out comes Punk who rips HHH to his face once again. This leads to Nash admitting that he worked HHH last week to get to Punk, but then Nash tosses out that he didn't lie about the text message. In the end, Nash powerbombs Punk into oblivion and now HHH, who just a few weeks ago, said that he wasn't going to get physically involved, is instead wrestling Punk. Contrived and weak.

Speaking of contrive, WWE intends to headline Super Smackdown tonight with Christian challenging Randy Orton. The apparent best way they could come up with as a venue to build fans' interest in this is to have Christian lose cleanly to John Cena after being drilled with two finishers. HUH? This is supposed to make the average fan want to watch Christian in a cage? Christian get his clock cleaned? How? They've just booked the edge off of him as a heel and he just got his ass kicked, so why do we want to see this again?

Equally mind boggling, but to a lesser degree was watching Mark Henry, who has decimated EVERYONE of late, including two of the company's monsters in Big Show and Kane, stands there with nothing to say as Cena insults his breath. I get that this was to set up a tag match but to have Henry stand there like a buffoon when he's supposed to be a monster that kicks your ass and eats your children severely undercut him. The entire talking sequence with Cena and friends was grating, since we had JUST opened Raw with such a sequence.

Sheamus hitting the ring was the best part of the entire segment, although him coming out to theme music again throws all realism out the window.

In many ways, there was a severe lack of logic to Raw. Thankfully, there was not a severe lack of good wrestling.
The highlight of the show, by far, was Randy Orton defeating Dolph Ziggler. Orton has been totally "on" of late and has continued to grow and evolve as a performer. While the result of the match was never in doubt, Ziggler stepped up and there were several moments, including his superkick out of nowhere that provided some nice drama. Ziggler could use a few more months of matches like this if WWE wants him to be taken seriously as a top name, but this was a BIG step up from the Jack Swagger silliness of late. Kudos to both men.

CM Punk vs. Miz was another good match, although when you are giving away a potential attraction for free on TV with no build, I can't help but to shake my head at it. I thought it was telling that Punk received no ring entrance and was already in the ring when Miz came out for his promo. Can you ever imagine such a thing for John Cena or Randy Orton? I think not. Miz' promo and the match itself were both very good, but you could have predicted the DQ coming a mile away. Seeing Punk getting so much offense on Miz and Truth was strange after they pretty much were set up as a badass duo the week before but Mike Epsenhart pointed out during the Raw post game show that it wasn't uncommon for a babyface to get the better of the Horsemen before being mauled by the odds. In this case, the odds were Kevin Nash, who ended up powerbombing Punk. How many weeks in a row has this been that Punk has been laid out now?

Sin Cara II vs. Jack Swagger had me worried when they came to the ring given their recent penchant for missed moves individually but this was fine beyond one miscue during a head scissors. Cara came off fine and I really, truly believe that for most of the WWE audience, it won't matter who's behind the mask. The entrance, the look and a few high flying moves will be all that the majority cares about. Cara II looked solid here and the finishing sequence was fun. Ziggler getting involved at the end didn't really inspire me - and why the hell are they fighting over Vickie Guerrero anyway?

Air Boom? Really? OK. Their match against Otunga and McGuillicuty was much better than the bout that we saw last week. I'm not enamoured by the thought of Otunga vs. Jerry Lawler, but we'll have to see how it goes. Love the idea of Kofi and Evan as the babyface team though.
Brie Bella beats Kelly Kelly after some Twin Magic. Did we really see WWE show a replay of a spot where Eve Torres was badly out of position? Wow. The backstage promo with Beth Phoenix and Natalya was interesting in that they are supposed to be the anti-Divas and now Beth was all dolled up. She looked great but one of the things I loved about the Glamazon persona was that she stood out as a wrestler on a roster of Barbie Dolls. We'll have to see where this goes.

The closing tag match with Mark Henry & Christian losing to Cena & Sheamus was a solid, WWE style back and forth tag match. I have no complaints about it beyond the idea that Christian losing in the manner that he does provides no purpose when he's supposed to taken seriously walking into a CAGE MATCH tonight.
Another positive was the Alex Riley video package. They did more to rehab him and get him back on track post-Miz feud in one minute than the last few weeks of his storyline against Swagger and Zigger accomplished. Keep them coming.

Bottom line: Watch the wrestling, ignore the logic and the talking segments on this one.

btw has anyone checked the FCW Spoilers
Ricardo Rodriguez claims that Alberto Del Rio is actuall HIS lackey--he signed Del Rio to his agency long ago. He's leading a stable made of rookies like Tito Colon and Shaul Guerrero

When has Nash bettered Punk? Only in sneak attacks, but definitely not on the microphone.

I think thats what they mean. And when Punk tries to get to Nash physically something always stops it.

Hopefully Tito does not have "my face looks like a child molester in a video game look" like Primo did on SVR 2011.

So they signed Nash to a contract and he can't even wrestle?!! What a waste of fu**ing time! And I was actually looking forward to Punk beating him, ugh!

During an apperance on the MMAWeekly Radio today, Kurt Angle discussed his role in the upcoming film "Warrior" and claimed he almost joined the UFC just a few months ago.

"I contacted (Dana White) again, I was thinking about dropping out of Impact Wrestling, and there were some personal problems with my marriage and I just wanted to get away and I contacted Dana White, I flew out, and he had me take the UFC physical. I passed it thank God, and he gave me the offer."

UFC President Dana White responded to the claim on Twitter stating, "Love Kurt, but not true."
