I guess Angle just totally subscribes to the Hogan method of shameless self promotion now.

During an apperance on the MMAWeekly Radio today, Kurt Angle discussed his role in the upcoming film "Warrior" and claimed he almost joined the UFC just a few months ago.

"I contacted (Dana White) again, I was thinking about dropping out of Impact Wrestling, and there were some personal problems with my marriage and I just wanted to get away and I contacted Dana White, I flew out, and he had me take the UFC physical. I passed it thank God, and he gave me the offer."

UFC President Dana White responded to the claim on Twitter stating, "Love Kurt, but not true."

wow.....

Kurt....its ok, just come on back to the WWE....take the nice fat paycheck...you know you miss it

More on Kevin Nash's WWE Status, Former Diva in Bad Car Accident

Posted by Marc Middleton on 08/30/2011

- Former World Heavyweight Champion David Arquette will be participating in the new season of ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

- Former WWE Diva Taryn "Tiffany" Terrell wrote on Twitter yesterday that she totaled her car in a bad wreck. The former Playboy model only suffered minor injuries.

- Word going around backstage is that Kevin Nash has a medical issue that is keeping him off Night of Champions and it will be cleared up, most likely, within a few weeks. While sources report that WWE won't have Nash wrestling, another believes Nash could be wrestling at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view in October.

Alberto Del Rio Update, Punk-Nash-HHH to Continue Tonight?, RAW, Stanford

Posted by Marc Middleton on 08/30/2011

- Stan sent word that Monday's episode of RAW had 41 minutes and 3 seconds of in-ring action, up from the previous week.

- WWE announcer Scott Stanford is celebrating a birthday today.

- The storyline between CM Punk, Kevin Nash and Triple H is expected to continue at tonight's live SmackDown special on SyFy.

- At last word, WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio was not in the building for tonight's SmackDown so it appears the match with Sin Cara is still off. As noted before, Del Rio has been in Mexico finishing paperwork for his work visa renewal.

Oh Kurt. It's a shame such a talented individual in the ring and on the mic is turning so crazy. I agree, couldn't he sign some sort of WWE contract that lets him dodge out of house shows? With a relatively deep main-event roster, I'm sure he could somehow make that happen, while still wrestling 4-star matches at PPVs.
So they signed Nash to a contract and he can't even wrestle?!! What a waste of fu**ing time! And I was actually looking forward to Punk beating him, ugh!
Latest I've heard is that he's having a medical issue that'll be cleared up in a few weeks, but not in time for Night of Champions. Apparently rumours are going around of him wrestling at HIAC?

Good to see Del Rio getting his papers in order, that's more important to him right now.

Smackdown starts early today right?,7 CT!?

Didn't think Cena could make that many archaic references at once.

I like that he speaks both Spanish and English in the ring....does it well, I might add

The name "Alberto Del Rio" repeated over and over is REALLY annoying. I really enjoyed seen Ricardo take a punch to the face though.

Is Barrett gonna whip Cena until he calls himself Toby?

I sure hope Barrett doesn't lose clean!
