Sequels The X-FORCE Official Thread

Exploring those themes regarding murder are interesting as well as they bring up good debates amongst X-Men/X-Force. When is it right? Is it ever right?

Wolverine and Deadpool do it quite often. But even Deadpool's views are less harsh then Logan in X-Force. Most comic readers just assume the opposite, but Wade holds back more. Betsy's road down that path is fascinating as well.

I'd love to see Cyc involved in that pov, not sure if we will ever see that. But one of these days it would be awesome to see him and Logan throw down over their issues. Doesn't need to be in a CW type scenario, but those two have conflicts where their beliefs and morals stray pretty heavily. Eventually that needs to build to heavy consequences.

After reading Uncanny X-Force, I would definitely want to see Fantomex introduced just so we could see that kinda inner turmoil between the members of the X-Force and what they do. I dunno if they would ever paint Hugh's Wolverine in that light (though with an R-rated Wolverine, who knows) but I do like the very, very gray area the X-Force plays in. Or between Cyclops/Wolverine etc. Fox should take advantage of the deeper places they can go with that in their films to differentiate themselves.

He probably won't be introduced but it'd be cool if he popped up in Gambit or something.

Unfortunately I doubt we would see that in a movie.... the thing is after X3, they could have done a spin-off then a team movie set in the present, vise-versa, to give the audience variety I guess. And it sucks, Cyclops could have been alive for some weird reason and redeem himself... instead now we are getting teen/young Cyclops.... and I doubt we would ever see a mature Cyclops in his 30s or 40s without retconning the new future Cyclops. Also Hugh Jackman is finally retiring the role next year.

Even if there is not another X-Men movie in the future I think it would be cool to see them in X-Force and how the two teams conflict with morals. They are already established so I think flat out ignoring them would be a mistake.

Miller and Reynolds seem down to use the modern X-Men and recognize they are there, so hopefully that's not an impossible scenario. Would make X-Force all the more epic as well.

You clearly don't have a clue about anything to do with X-Force. Cyclops was one of the X-Men who ordered X-Force to be reformed after the 90's team went their separate ways.
Exactly that was the whole purpose of X-Force being formed...

sadly with Fox not going to SDCC this Yeah we won't getting an Official Announcement Either

Hopefully we will get something else instead in terms of announcements for the franchise. The SDCC thing is kinda weird. They had a tremendous reception last year and that kicked off a ton of good wom for Deadpool.

If they are only worried about footage leaking, I just don't get why they can't choose their footage more carefully. Has to be other reasons besides the bootlegs.

The Leaks special The Deadpool Footage has the Fans even More Hyped for the Movie

Mr. Know it all, I already know that and as if we're gonna get that in the movie-verse, Cyclops ordering X-Force to be reformed... Out of the all the rosters, they should go with the first one since Cable has yet to appear in the movieverse and they could introduce the X-Force team without Cyclops having a say on its formation.... unlike the recent X-Force issue where you had the likes of Wolverine, Psylocke, Angel joining the roster...

Exactly. I just don't know if the option to bow out is equivalent to say releasing the footage like WB did for Suicide Squad. Or even just dealing with it leaking. The bootlegs have been going on for years.

I get that it's supposed to be exclusive but does releasing the footage hurt attendance or the films? When I go I don't even bother with the panels cause it's just too difficult to get into Hall H. It's a waste of time, so I still just read the live blogs while I'm there. Wonder con is another story. Very easy to get in due to a larger arena and I don't remember the DOFP footage leaking when I saw it there.

Now that Marvel is out I would think Fox would love getting the prime attention like last year. Just showing stills and announcing a lineup with casts and Directors is pretty awesome. Better then nothing imo.

Like I said before, the success of Deadpool would give X-Force a bigger push for production. Anyway, mutant teams appeal to me than character title movies.

Anyway, for the roster, I hope they'll based it from the 1990s X-Force and have mutants that didn't appear in the previous X-Men films (except for Deadpool/Deadpool 2 that aren't in the X-Men) to keep it fresh, that also excludes Colossus.

I agree about Colossus but I would like (if possible) to have Elizabeth Betsy.

After seeing Apocalypse, just don't see how you transition this Psylocke into X-Force or a Deadpool sequel without some contrived writing.

I just don't know how in the world could Psylocke recover from this. Its a nightmare for me, really.

Hope Tim Miller is a fan. Maybe they can find a way even if it's contrived. Given that the fan support and interest for Psylocke is very strong they have to know people want to see more of her. Specifically for X-Force.

Colossus being in DOFP didn't stop them from giving him a good and more accurate role in Deadpool. Even though it conflicted with the version in DOFP.

I don't think this is the be all, end all for her. If Ryan and co. want her, then I think they'll get her, especially with their pull now, but they're gonna have to plan it all out for the long term alongside the other creatives at Fox. It might not be possible in just one film.

Or they can be as contrived as they want.

Colossus was in the present and was alive at the end of DOFP and already appeared in 3 X-Men films. They also asked Daniel Cudmore to return but turned it down for some reason.

While Psylocke
never joined the X-Men and is in the 80s.

The two versions of Colossus were never going to be the same. Cudmore was only going to be a stuntman. Psylocke (if they want to use her) may find a contrived way through Cable or other means to make it to the present. The main thing will be if the filmmakers want to use her as a main character in X-Force, which hopefully they do.

Time will tell! But as of the moment, they have Copycat and Domino as possible members of the team right since those two will appear in Deadpool Two... I don't know if Psylocke would even be an option for X-Force.

Since Reynolds and Miller are huge fans of the comics they have to be aware that Psylocke is Deadpool's teamate on X-Force. Deadpool didn't become a member till she did and she is a significant role there. So it's just hope at this point that they realize her importance in the team and the fact that fans really want to see her done justice.

Minor, minor, X-Force news. Nothing particularly new, but more or less confirms X-23 in the near future of this franchise, with Shawn Madden saying Mangold acquired some "reference art" for Laura on his Twitter. Hopefully it'll be the culmination of some of these films set in the present day X-Men world (with the Deadpool creative team being the main creative brain)

Regarding a possible X-Force film's R-rating.

She's the best she is at what she does. And what she does isn't very nice

I've never read any X-Force books so I have a question. Do they operate under Professor X, and does he knowingly send them out to murder/assassinate? Lol or do they do their own thing?
