Vinnie: Good luck on your first day of school son!
Timmy: Thanks Dad! I will.

*Vinnie hugs Timmy*

It'd be such a heartfelt and tender moment. :p

Yup. It was in the Famke thread just a while ago.

Imagine, they cast Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy (or something like that) first. Thank God, they were replaced.

I usually don't go into Famke thread... *shame* :(

Wow, she's a pretty interesting historical character, one of the first noble people in being believed a vampire.

I'll be watching it sure. :)

Hugh Jackman Boasts of Prestige

Based on Christopher Priest's 1996 novel, Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman will play rival magicians in turn-of-the-century London who battle each other for trade secrets. The rivalry is so intense that it turns them into murderers. The title refers to the residue left after a magician's successful trick.
Pasadena, CA :: First picturesfrom the set of Hugh Jackman's new magician flick The Prestige (Budget :: $40 million, Release Date :: TBD 2006) where he plays magician Rupert Angier. Other stars in The Prestige include Christian Bale (rival magician Alfred Borden), David Bowie (inventor and electrical wizard Nikola Tesla), Scarlett Johansson (magician's assistant Olivia), Piper Perabo (Border's wife) and Michael Caine (Angier's ingenieur sidekick Cutter).

Cool pictures and hopefully cool movie.

But I still don´t like Scarlett and Piper... :(

But I guess I shouldn´t judge before I see the movie.

I love this blurb from Dark Horizons at http://www.darkhorizons.com/news06/060124g.php:

You've got to give Hugh Jackman credit, the man can pull off any outfit. Black leather jumpsuits, gold glitter pants, or even dowdy old brown tweed - the guy just makes it all look good. Today the first pics of the Aussie hunk on the set of Christopher Nolan's "The Prestige" have emerged over at the truly awesome Just Jared, showing his look for the film. Click the thumbnail below to check out more shots.

Nice pic. Where's it from? Is it me or does Famke look a little tired.

I must say that i agree the turn of century look fits him too. Can't wait to see what Bale the other cast look like.

If this is PG-13 i think they should try and release this Christmas 2006.

From thescifiworld.net:
Alex Zahara interview
Date of publishing: 30th December 2005

Alex was born in Northern Alberta, and, according to his mother, has always enjoyed performing for others. He grew up loving the classics in acting, Bogart, Cagney, etc. Got involved with theatre while still in school, performing in a stage version of MASH. Took some time off to travel Europe and while lying on a beach in Greece, decided to go to Film School. Later, taught a class on `Acting for Teens’ at the Vancouver Film School. A familiar face to sci-fi fans, Alex has appeared in numerous genre series, including seven guest spots on Stargate SG-1 (Spirits, 1969, Foothold, Beast of Burden, Metamorphosis, Enemy Mine, and Space Race), and the SCI FI Channel's movie, Babylon 5: Legend of The Rangers: To Live and Die in Starlight, portraying "Dulann", the lead Minbari warrior monk who serves as first officer of the starship Liandra. Alex has also made guest appearances as "Johanssen" in James Cameron's Dark Angel (Red, Rising), Andromeda (Music of a Distant Drum), The Immortal (Forest for the Trees), Welcome to Paradox (Blue Champagne), First Wave (The Purge), and the special 100th episode of The Outer Limits (Tribunal), as "SS Lieutenant Karl Rademacher".

Gilles Nuytens: You auditioned for a role in X-Men 3 and Hollow Man 2, can you say something about the roles you auditioned for, and was is a success for you?
Alex Zahara: Well the role for Hollow Man 2 was a cool part in the beginning with a guy who gets killed by Hollow Man. X Men 3 was kind of strange, they were really only auditioning for very small parts, like team leader etc, for the original X men movie I had auditioned for Wolverine and for X2 Night-crawler. I didn't get the roles for either show but wasn't too disappointed because they would have been very minimal roles anyway.

Oh I know...but clearly he was wrong...he would have had big roles. Cuase we all know Wolvie in X1 had a large role and Nighty in X2 was a good chunk role too.

Check here for a picture of Bale:

I received a private email from someone who apparently knows someone on the crew. He said post-production wouldn't be finished until October so he doubts it will be released this year.

Does anyone know if Gambit is going to be in the next movie? X3! And if so, will he be a large part of the movie?
