Man, last nights Raw was such a f-cking buzzkill. The showed started off fine and we even got a good Barrett match and saw Paige show some teeth in the ring more but when the crowd sat on their hands for most of the night it just sucked the fun out of everything. I ended up flipping the channels the second the Cena match came on.

Baltimore crowds suck big time and I hope they never go back there along with South Carolina.

I think Bray Wyatt needs a title before Rusev does. Problem is he's not in the IC mix and the WWEWHC is locked up right now. I say once he's done with Cena, get him the US belt so he can hold it and defend it for a while, build it up again while he works towards the main event scene.

Bray could be one of those characters who doesn't need a belt. Sure, throw him in title pictures from time to time, but he is more of a blood feud guy. Rusev may need a title run of sorts to click with the crowd.

Bray's character probably would have no use for a midcard title. The world champion is pushed as the face of WWE in kayfabe.. Wyatt can use that to cause chaos as it gives him a certain power. WWE would be afraid of Wyatt as champion because, unlike the sometimes unbalanced Orton, Wyatt can't conduct himself like a normal person. Have him go on The Tonight Show and cut a promo that scares Jimmy. If it appears awkward enough, it could go viral and get some Joaquin Phoenix/Crispen Glover publicity.

Rusev doesn't need the belt to click with the crowd right now. He needs to build up a reputation as a beast. I say feed him an aging superstars like Big Show and Mark Henry instead of losers like R-Truth and Xavier Woods. Then when the time comes for him to go after a belt, the crowd perceives him as an actual threat.

The man should make the belt, not the other way around.

Oh god, I could really care less about a one off appearance on the Tonight Show. This isn't 20 years ago when the WWE needed that kind of stuff to promote themselves. Sure, it's nice to have to promote something once in a while like at Wrestlemania time but to book around it, please. They have a network now.

True but the only use Wyatt has for a title is to screw with WWE's image or take it away because it's important to a face. He wouldn't care about being champion.

Hey, don't disrespect String, he was the greatest technical wrestler of the midwest region in the 1980s. The way he used to curl himself into a ball and roll away from this opponent has yet to be matched by any worker since. The Cat's Cradle continues to be one of the deadliest submission finishers of all time.

You make a good point about Rusev. It's hard to look badass by beating up someone who never wins.

Eh....you think Raven ever cared about being ECW champ in that aspect? But he was....for a very long time and he's cut from the same cloth as Wyatt. Being the champ is a sign of being at the top whether villain or face. I'm not a big fan of going the Ted DiBiase route with people. At some point he's going to have to have a history of championship accomplishments or it's going to look weird.

In a potential feud to put over Daniel Bryan?

What would make it cooler is if he used this theme song again: [YT]w5txEiXYyxA[/YT]

Just imagine how big of a feud the two People's Champs could have. Rock is one of the few that match Bryan in overness with the crowd right now and if those two had a Mania match, it would be huge.

I didn't like the way Rock was used at the last two Mania but when thinking about big match situations for Bryan, Four people come to mind: Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, John Cena and The Rock.

In terms of guys that Bryan could feud with at big PPVs to make his title reign memorable as well as having storylines that could write themselves.

So what do y'all say about The New People's Champ vs The Original Self-Proclaimed People's Champ?

This. I've been having major insomnia problems lately so it's great to know that I have this episode of Raw to remedy that.

I will say this, If such a thing ended up being on the cards, I'd love for The Rock to work on his cardio, attend house shows and actually, you know, show up.

If not then Screw It, It's not a feud that I'd lose sleep over not happening but I can see how good of a feud it COULD be under the right conditions.

Especially since I think the audience would turn on Rock for Bryan if Rock heels it up.

I'm afraid they're giving Paige the Big E treatment: Bring her up from NXT, throw a belt on the person, and that's it. Throwing the belt isn't enough to make her a star. The buzz from NXT wasn't enough. It's not her fault because she isn't getting time to talk. She needs to cut some promos to get herself more over. They need to push her to get the type of reactions AJ receives. AJ had months of character build up. Paige needs the same.

The "just come out and wrestle" thing isn't doing it, IMO. This isn't in the indies.

She showed some aggression in her match with Aksana, but I don't think it's enough. They really need to give her her Anti-Diva character back and really run with it.

I told ya'll she would be much better off as a heel. It would give her a chance to show off that 'Anti-Diva' aggression you guys keep talking about.

Her Anti-Diva character isn't a heel though. They just have to have her cut a promo saying she is not a Diva, but a FEMALE WRESTLER.

If WWE didn't give her the basic rookie story she wouldn't need to be heel. She shouldn't have congratulated AJ in the first place.

Anyway, Nolan, Would you be up for a Rock vs Daniel Bryan feud for the title under appropriate circumstances?

Especially if Rock was in his 1999 gimmick

I don't think WWE will ever turn Rock heel again, since in their eyes he is at that iconic Hogan level and believe he will be cheered no matter what. I still think his ideal Mania opponent next year would be Orton.

They probably thought the same thing about HHH and HBK but the crowd turned in them for Daniel Bryan.

Johnathan Coachman said:
Vince McMahon is a very unique guy, and he does not trust a lot of people. He had trust in me and because of that, he wanted me around him a lot, whether I was hosting something or not. If he wanted to yell and couldn't find someone that he couldn't yell at, he would yell at me just to get it out of his system. We get along great to this day, and if there was an opportunity to be on Monday Night Raw and do Sports Center at the same time I would that in a heartbeat.

The thing about WWE is you have to be accepted on many different level. From 2003 on, I was one of the boys. If you were willing to put your neck on the line and get in the ring, that separates you from everybody else. Up until that point, I had to be accepted into the crew, so to speak.

Basically, Jerry Brisco came up to me in 2001 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and he said he wanted me to run a football pool. $10 to pick all the games, and everybody did it. And I started on a Tuesday, it was a Smackdown taping, I'll never forget it. I had my own room I did interviews in, and all the sudden two cops show up. They were very serious, and said I understand you're running a gambling pool. You sold one to one of our undercover cops here. It's a felony in North Carolina and we're going to have to take you in.

So we're walking down the hallway, and we stop in front of Vince's office, and they said we should probably let him know because you're not going to be here for a while. We walk in and it's Vince, Triple H, Stephanie, The Rock, Kevin Dunn and Jerry Brisco. I should have known that, with Jerry in the room, something was going on, but I was so terrified because I was 26 years old. The real cops proceeded to tell Vince they've caught me in a gambling pool and we need to take him downtown. Vince got in my face, and he was an inch away from my nose. He was cursing, telling me my priorities were bad, and spending company time to run a gambling pool. This entire riff lasted 45 minutes. At the end of the office bit, the officer said it was $1,500 to get me out, and Vince said F-no, he's on his own. They handcuffed me, and I asked if there was anything I could put over my face. Vince threw me a pair of sweaty gym shorts that got stuck on my face.

I walked out of the office and the first person I see is The Undertaker. He looks at me with shock, and it was so real because no one else was in on it except those people in the office. They walked me out, and all the fans could see me and they drove me about a mile down the road, and got a call on the radio that they had to come back to pick up something. They turn around, come back, and everyone's there with Vince in front of everybody laughing their asses off. Greatest rib in the history of the business, and for about 10 minutes I literally walked to a place in the building and started crying. I thought my career was over. I thought how can I tell my dad I got fired over a $10 football pool.

Holy sh**! Poor Coach! :pal:

Is anyone here hoping Daniel Bryan gets to do something like this to the Authority at some point: [YT]gR00vCMU874[/YT]
