This is a bit O/T, but I figure you guys will receive this thread better then on the Nolan boards. Even though I completely hate the NOT God Nolan's take on batman, There's no way I can wait 6 months to rent this on disc. DAMMIT! What's wrong with me? Unless this is completely or mostly different then the previous 2 films, I know I'm gonna be disappointed. I went through this with TDK as well. Maybe I should just not look at it as a Batman film. Hmm... Anyone know what I'm talking about here?

i know how your feeling. for me its just sad. the first batman movie i will not be seeing in theaters. however i dont feel that bad, simply cuz why would i want to see a sequel for a movie i hated and found no redeeming quality? i hated practically everything about BB and TDK, especially TDK, which didnt feel like a batman movie at ALL. for me the nolan movies are not really batman movies. its CSI with batman in it, and i just dont care for it. im waiting for the reboot and hope and pray they take the character back to his comic roots and none of this realism crap.


what i find also sad is, i doubt we will see a gotham city like we did in the 90's with tim burton, or even joel schumacher, where everything felt like invention and a true comic book style. every comic book movie today HAS to take place in a real city like chicago or new york. they cant make it like the comics and a totally made up city with sets and statues, gargoyles and such. goodbye amazing production design!

If you didn't like either of Nolan's first two films, why would you even want to see it?

Just so that you can continue bashing Nolan's interpretation on this forum and have some new material to claim as evidence he 'sucks'?

It's not going to be different from BB or TDK in any major way. It is a sequel, it is by the same team, it is going to be cut from the same cloth.

So TBH, if you DO see it, I'm going to have to say you don't hate it as much as you claim...
