It would be nostalgic for spidy 1 purposes, except this time after saving mj then going to extreme measures to use his web to catch gwen, he just doesn't have enough control to do it safely and we see some crazy whip lash on gwen. This would make sense too cause gwen is human and cant take whip lash like an elevator or bus or whatever those children where in, in spidy 1.
Main point. Spidy needs to get darker. Peter's life has to get worse, and not in a romantic sense, just the opposite. His romantic life should be fine now. Its the other things in life that should be messed up now.
I.E. Ppl should hate spidy, villains should be harder, his job should continue to suck, and his friends and love ones should be the back burner to spiderman.
